Had a call off this number at 6.15pm.  Asked for me by name, said he was from UK Today and he was doing a survey on leading brands.  The survey would only take three minutes.  I told him I never answer surveys on the telephone and hung up on him.  This is the fourth cold call I've had today.  Very annoying because I am expecting two different legitimate calls which is why I have answered these parasitic ones.  I've had cavity wall insulation offered, help with a PPI claim and the survey one and I'm fed up already.  

Has anyone else noticed that they can go for a few weeks and not hear a thing and then one day, a bit like when flying ants all swarm on the same day, there will be a flurry of cold calls then it will go quiet again for a while.  It's as if they're all in it together.   The more they ring the ruder I become but I think I will try a different tactic.  Next time I get one of those calls I'll just put the phone on the side and get on with my housework or perhaps switch the TV on so hopefully they get the message.

As I have caller display I shall enter the numbers that I have into the contacts list, with the word SPAM in front so I can see at a glance not to answer it.  If I thought it would work I would put a message on the answerphone that makes it clear I don't want their type of calls but as soon as they hear the recorded message they hang up so they wouldn't hear it anyway. The TPS is a total waste of time so if someone could come up with a really good LEGAL way of stopping them I would be very interested.

Just received a "courtesy call" from a woman who told me they'd received information that I had a credit card or loan covered by PPI.

I asked her what the information was and where it had come from, as it was incorrect.

She continued to question, so I asked her which company she worked for (she said Coral Communications, or something like that). I stated that her call was unsolicited and unwelcome, and asked to speak with her manager.

She hung up!

Can nothing be done to stop these unwanted calls. He inisists he in not selling but conducting a survey...yeah right!

Same number different message. First call saying they were not selling anything, just doing markter research. Next call saying they were from Unicef asking for donations.
Were have been TPS registered for several years and the number our number is ex-directory. When challenged they say they got our number from a database they have purchased. These calls are very annoying and a wast of time.

When will these people stop!?? Ex directory and TPS registered.....does anything work????

TPS will only stop the reputable firms. The scam firms will ignore it

I had a call from them today. Also on TPS and ex-directory, but that only stops reputable companies.

Interestingly, when I call the company back, I get a brief engaged signal and then I get cut off.

Hey guys, this company is not any of the above mentioned. It is a company called Calculate My Claim which is part of Real Time Claims...Absolute shocker of a company!!! Dont talk to them nicely...just swear!!! Try to speak to the director if you can...As far as I know, his name is Lee McCormack or it could be Wes Gregory..

As a woman I was treated badly and I'm fed up of being treated like a second class citizen. Their customer service is awful and all they want is money...Report them to Ofcom, Ministry of justice and the FSA...I have and I hope we can bring these slimeballs down!!!

This number keeps calling my Mum over and over. Please can get them to stop, It is scaring her!!!!!

Just zapped this number on my TrueCall box.  Best thing ever invented.  I can now happily review my call lists and see the rejected calls from the other low life cold callers consigned to my Zap List.

Invest in TrueCall or any other similar product and dish it back to these unwanted callers.

Best to NOT pick up but put them into your telephones' directory of Scammers, then they are always recognised as what they are - SCUM  !
Have TPS ?  No difference - these folks ignore the Law when it suits them.

Do not use these parasites to claim your PPI do it yourself it's easy and that way you will get all your money back. Look on Martin Lewis's Money Saving Expert site for free advice on how to do it. It doesn't take much of your time up so don't let these parasite claim companies sell you the line they will make it easy for you.

There is nothing different that these claim companies can do that you can't apart from take a huge fee out of your money for doing it for you.

Getting a lot of missed calls from this number. I don't answer them but it's getting annoying.

company called asking for the previous owner and when we said they didnt live here anymore they asked who they were talking to. When i replied that i wasnt comftable giving out that information as they didnt even state the company name they replied that "they wasnt going to track me down and kill me!!" very unprofessional. I put the phone down on them.

Did not answer, but immediately put it on my blocked list. Thank goodness for Panasonic phones and their excellent screen/bock facilities.

My elderly parents got a call from this number - claiming to be from UNICEF and looking for a donation.  They have taken steps to report this to UNICEF - I hope the message has got through.  This has to be beyond simply nuisance and into the criminal type of activity surely?

Got a call again today. I have caller number display. Didnt pick up the phone. Its sad these people dont get the message. But i guess its their route to staying in employment short term.
Last time it was PPI claim. DOES NOT AFFECT ME.

Called but didn't want to talk so it's so frustrating !
