Just received a call from this number, claiming to be from UK Today.  I told them the person they wanted to speak was on a sunseekers holiday at the North Pole and wouldn't be back until the Greenland Icecap had melted, so that their ship could get under way again.

Was somebody with a South African accent.

these people need stopping man!! 7.50pm on a friday night and these idiots phone up asking about ppi? I don't want to talk to these idiots but they wont get the message. At least 5 calls a day every day without fail. Annoying idiots.

just had a missed call - i was rather busy at the time, dialed 1471 and got this number 02070606042 as its a london number thought it might be important tried to call back but says sorry lines are busy - so googled number and you guys all say its a ppi call - glad i missed it!

When will these people give up! i am TPS registered and still get this crap!  I would have been so peed off if i had to stop what i was doing to answer the call!
I dont work so dont have any loans yet if you do have to talk to them they tell you you DO/DID  have loans - wished i could afford a loan!!!

i have just rang that number and guess what apparently they are nothing to do with the london number and " do i not understand that they are in manchester" and cannot possibly be calling for the same number in london - now whos thick me or them. When i rang a girl answered and said hello wouldnt tell me who she was - god they are now learning form us! i said id  contact the police and given them all the number that ring me form their various offices. but obviously im stupid as they do not have a london office or london number!
so anyone callng from a london number saying they are from uk claims management must be a totally different company. Now as far as i know there cannot be 2 companies with exactly the same name!!

Indian accent so strong that I've not a clue what it was about.

Received a call from this number yesterday asking me to confirm my postcode, then read out the postcode from a property I left 3.5 years ago. I asked what company he represented and he hung up.
Another call today at 4.30, a lady this time. Asking if I was Mrs J*** M*****? ...... Who just so happens to be the lady who bought my last property, this time i hung up. Talk about trying their luck! Can't even get my details right!
Now I'm ringing Virgin to turn my caller display back on, these guys could be fun :/

I got a call from 02070606042. When I got there the line had cleared. I am a member of TPS. I never evr fill in surveys etc. They are blatantly breaking the law. Will nobody do anything about this?

I get regular calls from this number claiming that I gave permission for them to call me.  I am registered with TPS but this company says that they cannot remove my number from their list!  TPS is a waste of time tried reporting this to them but they say there is nothing they can do???

They are another  PPI caller, when I said that my phone was TPS listed they pretended I did a survey a few months ago and told them all about my credit cards, as if !!!! I have never in my life done a survey on the telephone, she then said it was recorded! So i told her point blank she was lying and she then said 'not a problem' and hung up. It may not be a problem to her but it was the third one this week from that company and it's only Wednesday

02070.606042 These people are driving me mad I wouldn't be responsible for my actions if I could get hold of them. I have been receiving calls several times a day and in the evenings for weeks now. I am ex-directory registered with TPS who are useless. In the day time I tend to answer the phone I get these recorded messages hang up, but in the evenings if I am sitting down I let it go on answerphone you can always tell its them as they hang up straight away. I am thoughly fed up with them and its about time something was done to stop them it's an invasion of privacy as far as I'm concerned apart from being a bloody nuisance.

Got call, said they wanted to survey me on brands. Told it was illegal cos I am on tps, but they told me it wasn't illegal - I assured them that it is!

I received 2 calls yesterday from '0', which I think is a companies way of hiding its number, and the last one day from 0207606042! I did not answer. These marketers, foreign or not, ppi or not, are all scam merchants-even if legitimate, if I wanted their help, I would ring them first, not the other way around. The telephone preference service does little to help, as once your number is out there, its already too late. You need to change your number, just as you would with an email that is receiving too many scam emails

A lady asked if she could speak to me, I said no that I did not wish to speak to her.  I am no longer civil to these parasites,

This number rings all the time and if I don't get to the phone and ring back it is always engaged. I get soooo sick of calls like this on average 3-4 every day, PPI, accident claims, help with bankruptcy... I end up saying in the croakiest voice I can muster that I'd love some PPI's How long to they stay fresh in the freezer?

Did not leave a message due to TRUE CALL machine which give me the control over incoming calls.
It will be them that will need protection when I will fire bomb their offices in London if these pillocks persist.

All my forms give the works number not home so it must be down to talktalk who are a shambles of a company as they blame the customer not their equipment for Internet faults. Since moving been bombarded with these types of calls including so-called Microsoft software scams.

To these callers get a real life and stop annoying everyone - and STOP passing my number on as when you purchased it (note as above never supplied on any forms) you have totally wasted your time and money - utter [***]!!!!!!q

This number has just rung me (third spam call in two hours!!!) Lifestyle Survey apparently. Hope they don't call again, because they are all getting my wrath today!

Silent call today. With TPS but they are paper tigers.
even though it appears to have the format of a London number, I understand that these international criminals can rent a line to give it an innocent looking format. These criminals sell the data from the repeated silent calls to assist burglars to know at what times and days you do not answer your phone, and use the data to decide when you are likely to leave your house empty, and they are available and within reasonable travelling distance to commit crime.

The TPS seem unable to block international criminals, even though they appear now to be renting London numbers. Most of the criminal calls I receive are from withheld numbers or from a network unable to transmit source data. I have no reason to believe that this silent 0207 xxxx is any less innocent
