Yet another call from this number - 5 times today - hung up

Just had a call from this number from Manjit/Ranjit saying she was from GK Today and wanted to ask me questions/opinions on well known brands....told her don't have the time, I hung up but when tried to dial 1471 they were still on the line and could here the call centre, took ages for them to hang up and free my line.

Another pest call...surely there is a way of stopping these pratts! Am getting them up until 9/10 at night. Despite being on T.P.S. at least 3 or 4 a day of cold callers.!!!!

this number calls me regularly during the day but never anyone there when you pick up the phone????

They are still at it with these phone calls - I had one today - I thought the Legal power were going to sort this out? I have had three calls within the space of 2 hours from 3 different TRASH companies.

Don't answer the call.   Just another rubbish waste of time call.
If no one answered these calls then it would be pointless for the companies
to make them!!!!!

Called me for third time this week. Got my name wrong. Seemed to want to speak to anyone who answered the phone

Posting on here will not stop these calls,  This is just a forum to report unknown, unwanted and scam calls and share information.  There is a telephone number on page 1 of this thread so it might be of use if you ting them and tell them to stop calling you.

I am home from work, I am on the sick....this number has called my landline a couple of times every day.....I have picked up the phone, but not spoken, theres a few seconds pause ...then they hang up..I have emailed the telephone protection about this and other numbers of similar nature,but i'm still getting these calls....

Just received 2nd call since Saturday from this number.  1st one went to answerphone, 2nd I answered and just got what seemed like rushing water.  Hey they may be calling from the Atlantic somewhere, telling me I've won a fantastic holiday - if not, hope they damn well drown!!!!!!   GRRRRRR.

Unfortunately it is called sequential dialing - the "organisation" gets a bona fida number from a phone book and a flipping "machine" will continue calling subsequent numbers.  The machine then records the time of day you actually answered and will then call you again at that time later on .  To begin with they try several times / days to make sure someone is at the end of the phone and will actually answer - oh silly us!  If you have an answerphone, just let it take the "non" message and then delete.  I was expecting a call tonight and picked up - got what sounded like rushing water - but no voice when I queried caller!  

Call barring does not stop this - take my word, I know! - I am ex directory and have call barring but the blighters still get through!!!   I am unemployed and friends have suggested I take a Call Centre Job - no way!  I don'[t want to bother people in the comfort of their own home!   J

I get my 2 year old son to answer! Does the trick every time
