FSA 'misgivings' over carbon credits investments
Carbon credits give firms the right to emit a certain amount of carbon dioxide
The City regulator says it has "deep misgivings" about high-pressure sales of carbon credit investments.
The average investor is spending £10,000, but the Financial Services Authority (FSA) is concerned that these people are failing to get any return. - Jaks replies to ClientMy broker was Haydon Driscoll and I bought carbon credts for £5,000. This was through Emission Offset/Burbank of London. They were never registered with SJL Risk as was supposed to happen and their offices are now closed.
- JohnEco synergies no longer supply credits

- FredSomething fishy about the last two posts I'm sure all the non scammers that read these posts will agree.
Carbon credits is a known scam now, only the Martians haven't about it yet.
If you have purchased them the people you should contacting are Action Fraud and the FSA.

http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=eco% ... 357700187,d.d2k - Henry replies to Jaks| 6 repliesI too was conned by Haydon Driscoll and have set up my web site which you have visited (iwasconnedbyemissiooffsetsltd) without leaving a message. The last contact I had was 30 Oct 2012 but prior to this he had tried to sell me more credits at a 'discounted' price. I refused as my previous credits had not been registered. I advised SJL Risk who were unaware but immediately tried to contact Haydon/Burbank/Emission Offsets but to no avail. They advised me that they were severing all contacts with the organisations. I reported it to Action Fraud. Kent Police have contacted me and are investigating the situation. Hopefully the justice system will convict him but be realistic, the chance of getting our money back is remote.
- Jaks replies to Henry| 3 repliesHi Henry
Sorry I've not been on your website but I've had to take a temp job...full time (not good).. no time to do anything I need to do...(like look after my mum)...thought before I would have been able to retire....obviously not now...Very depressing...Only worked 110% for 36 years and saved for my retirement..but it's now gone... and don't appreciate being conned by some youngster who cons people for a living...when are these guys going to learn they have to work for a living like the rest of us...when they are locked up????....Why are they not in prison.?? As long as they keep getting away with this fraud and not being brought to justice they'll keep doing it. I'm still getting phonecalls from them trying to get me to invest....had another one just yesterday...I'm not giving up on this..... They need to be brought to justice.
Emission Offset/Burbank of London are not in Administration - they 'closed' the company...on purpose...as they had stolen our money...and are now living off it...theft...pure and simple...there must be a way for them to pay...they were a Limited Company....Surely a Limited Company can not just close dealings without paying out on obligations. Where has our money gone.??? ..into their own personal accounts?..Haydon Driscoll was the Director...why is he not arrested? Who can help with this?
A lawyer ? How would I pay for one? Any suggestions??? - InvestorWhen was burbank set up and by whom? Please give me the facts.
- Henry replies to Jaks| 2 repliesI had my solicitor send the normal letters to all the addresses which I had already done - It cost me £300 and all his letters were returned! He advised me not to send good money after bad as there is no point in suing someone/company when there are no assets. Perhaps we are all wiser but, hopefully, Haydon Driscoll will be brought to justice after Kent police contacted me. They admit that it will be a long process as they will have follow the money trail throughout the frozen accounts. Whether we will get any of our money back remains to be seen.
- Jaks replies to Henry| 1 replyHi Henry,
There must be assets - the company is not in liquidation..that would have been the thing to do if this had been caused by the company having a deal gone sour on them - bu they didn't - they voluntarily disolved the company - with our money still there....- the police hopefully can trace the company accounts and what happened to them. They stole from us - that is the scam...where has the money gone? He didn't buy the carbon credits for us - as per our contracts - so the company is liable for those carbon credits if nothing else...i.e. they made a contract with us and reneged on it. i.e.(Sold us something we didn't receive). There's a law against that. As a Limited Company - as I recall from my studies.- we can't go after Haydon Driscoll's 'personal assets' because it is a Limited Company - they know their stuff...but we should be able to get money back from the company - if the police can find out where the money went!
If it is found that our money (from the Company's accounts) was transferred into his or someone else's personal account then that should be traceable. We must keep positive about this....justice will prevail! - ...just a guyGive it a week, I have proof
