- rexpg replies to Anonhello ,,i see you have a link to just answer.com i asked them a year ago about M Forbes and they said they were a reputable company with their directors highly experienced.Thought i would just let you know .
- rexpg replies to deleted post| 12 repliescan you tell me when you went to Madiera and what you saw,Did you go to Amber Crest ofice
- don m replies to rexpg| 11 replieswhat went on with investors funds.??
- R 1 replies to don m| 7 repliesHad a cold call from First Capital Wealth about investing in property in Madeira, clearly the website was iffy as was the brochure they sent and as a company the information did not stack up with that registered at Companies House.
They operated through Berkeley Brookes LLC which, according to my research, had been dissolved. FCW operate from 88 Wood Street in London which is a virtual office. They claim to have offices worldwide but I could not trace any. They are offering a substantial return on your investment when the build is complete.
Clearly this has links to other posts and schemes mentioned on this site. - Fred replies to R 1| 6 repliesI am an original investor in the Morgan Forbes Hotel and Pearl Island which is now Anber Crest.I have been to Madeirs on 4 occasions and have seen the land, had a meeting with the Architecs so I know both projects are real.
Regarding Morgan Forbes I speak to Michael regularly and he gives me updates and is as frustrated as much as all the investors and their have been new develpoments and investors will get their returns money in the bank between April and June 2014.
I spoke to Michael 1 hour ago and he confirmed to me that he did post on this forum a few pages ago that if any genuine investor E-mails him at info@morganforbes.com with the number of units they have in the hotel plus their name he will give them an update.
People will probably use my name to say lots of rubbish so I will not post again so you will know it will not be me. - REXPG replies to don m| 2 repliesHello Don1
sorry dont understand your question been a long day - rexpg replies to Fredcould you explain why no emails are returned from Amber and phone not working could you ask Micheal why this is
- ambercrestinvestor replies to FredThanks Michael. But if you think you will solve your problems by making promises to the hotel investors whilst you scam and write off the Pearl Island investors you are much mistaken
- Anonymous| 22 repliesNow that's just stupid, as you'll get yourself nicked for posting comments like that. Hopefully admin remove them.
- Stuart replies to Anonymous| 21 repliesShadow man you have to be very careful making comments like that as on twitter and facebook people have been arrested and charged for makeing less serious threats and also lost their jobs.
Michael sold his stake in Pearl Island to Amber Crest and I am sure he knows about the company.Part of the deal is that he will get a percentage when the investment is sold so I am sure that it is in his interest to make sure this happens.
My view on Amber Crest is that they paid money to Michael to take over the project and yes they made some money selling the remaining shares which they done in a way that was very naughty in my view as they told investors that the Hilton hotel group were buying it which was a lie and I am led to believe that Amber Crest recuriued brokers to sell the shares and may not have been aware the method they used and that at least one broker gave Amber Crest a false name as I know the name Christopher Andrews is really someone else.
Amber Crest are due an update to its investors at the end of November so I will be interested to see what they have to say and are probably still in the red money wise wirh Pearl Island so it is in their interest to sell the project and for them and us to get our returns.I dont think they are using the satellite office in Madeira any more so the phone number does not work but I have had replies from sending them a E-mail in the past which are directed to London.
Again this is the only post I will make with this name as people will copy my name and talk a load of crap so I will not post with this name so you will know it is not me. - ambercrestinvestor replies to StuartThanks for the insight Stuart.
Incidentally nobody believes the rogue salesmen story, so it would be in their interest if Michael and associates got on with getting their investors a return . - don m replies to REXPG| 1 replyWouln any investor know the state of play re: morgan forbes pearl island sensible answers only.
- keano replies to Stuart| 19 repliesStuart, thanks for your sensible contribution. Can you or anybody else expand on my experience with an ambercrest agent so called Duncan Smith who had about 3 weeks regular phone contact with me in June 2013. He convinced me to part with €1,245 admin and legal fees so that he could release the proceeds of my pearl Island shares (€639.72 per share) to my bank account. The shares were supposed to be sold to a multinational blue chip company, money in the bank but he couldn't name the purchasesr on grounds of confidentality. Last conversation was 18th June with promise of sale proceeds by 28th June. Needless to say nothing came of it. The €1,245 funds went into the same bank account as I sent payment for 20 extra shares I bought through so called Christopher Andrews in March 2013. I got a share certificate for the 20 shares for what its worth. Since 30th June there is nobody at home to explain to me why I was conned into paying €1,245. Have these so called agents access to ambercrest bank account for their personal benefit or is it just that the powers behind ambercrest engage these frontmen to scam more money from us. PLEASE logical sensible responses only because there is nothing to be gained from the other mud slinging.
- Anon replies to deleted post| 17 repliesHi Stuart, thanks for such an informative post, however one thing of concern, if you have been able to find out that Lynn Howard's is connected to a bunch of crooks, why did Mr Nascimento not pick that up when he sold to ambercrest, whilst he may still retain an interest in ambercrest the fact he 'sold' to them would ensure he got something out of it presumably cash, given that investors made their investment originally in Morgan Forbes believing the Pearl Island project, do you not think he had a duty to check out who he was selling our investment to or was he just interested in lining his own pocket and leaving us high and dry.
We were never consulted on that sale and it is of great concern he was to my mind reckless with our investment selling to a shady outfit, or have I missed something?
So whilst I want to think he has our interests in mind my confidence level is not that great given the above lack of judgement in putting himself above all else to off load Pearl Island, and I would be really concerned he could do that with the hotel project if things get even more sticky and/or he gets to the point where some of the threats made on forums like this make him decide enough is enough.
So next time you are with him perhaps you might like to get his assurance that will not happen. - don m replies to deleted post| 3 repliesOn your visit to Madeira did you see the foundations being built for the hotel?.
- Anon replies to don m| 1 replyI am puzzled if you are the same don m who has posted previously, why do you have any interest, I think you have stated that you didn't make an investment, and your language always talks about other people's investment I.e. 'you' have lost all your money, not 'we' and have said some very insulting things recently.
Why why why, if you have no financial interest here are you even bothered, or do you like telling others they have been scammed for fun, even though they don't need to be told how stupid they have been if the money is lost forever.
Of course it's possible some of the recent posts talk of movement and possible return, you are worried you didn't invest and have missed an opportunity.
Life is always like this, once you have made any decision good or bad you have to live with the consequences and make the most of it, learn from it and move on. - don m replies to AnonIn recent times someone other than myself has posted in my name, curious about Aston who was pestering me to invest.
- Investor replies to deleted postHow's the Nick Faldo golf course coming along. They've been working on it for years!
- Investor| 3 repliesI didn't realise the golf course itself was being sold to a developer. If someone bought the golf course and the hotel it would be a license to print money.
