- True investors replies to anon| 6 repliesThis is because Pearl Island has nothing to do with Morgan Forbes international. Pearl Island is another company that was sold by Morgan Forbes UK. Morgan Forbes has been shut down. If you invested in the hotel then speak to Morgan Forbes international. If you invested in Pearl Island which is owed by Amber crest then speak to them. As far as I can tell amber crest latest information is due in November. Let's wait till then. I think there is a lot of confusion, but it seems straight forward that they are a separate companies and should be dealt with them directly. I do think something is not right with amber crest but until November we have no news. Many people are stating that Michael has been arrested or ran away or better still is being investigated. This is all lies. He is working towards completing Morgan Forbes international and ensuring the investor get a profitable return. He sold amber crest and even thou I agree he should of told us all investors, but he was not obliged too. Yes he could of gone throu it a better way but after being in Madeira and speaking to top lawyers there is nothing any investor can do regarding amber crest. Morgan Forbes international is being investigated and what the company have stated is 100% correct. Planning permission is granted but the building licence has not been granted. The company did not lie. My sources have stated that he is looking to complete the sale of the hotel and if this is so then we have been idiots in putting him and the company down. Clearly there is a number of stupid people posting here including mentioning his personal life. Real Morgan Forbes international investors need to know we need Michael on our side to ensure completion otherwise it's all good us thinking he will go to prison but this will do me and any real investor any good and that's because we will either get nothing back or if anything a small amount after so many years. Morgan Forbes international is being investigated because they sold a collective investment scheme and promoted the investment from the uk. If Michael goes down he will be the one happy not us. The chances of hi going to prison would be slim as my lawyer stated, he has never been to prison or been convicted for anything. It was his first company and his partner was a lawyer registered in the uk by the SRA solicitor regulations authority. This means that he would probably get a slap in the hand and never be able to be a director nor be regulated by anyone. From what I have found out he is using his own funds to carry this on otherwise a easy way out is not walk away and get this slap in the hand. I'm a true investor and have spent another £7000 to find out what I know and I'm unhappy with how things are but I can see that Michael is doing what he can to complete the project. Anyone that has doubts then I suggest that you get a lawyer and look into this. You will find out that the lawyer will be happy to do this but it will be a waste of money. I urge that any true investor be more patient with this investment. Regarding amber crest I suggest that we wait till November for the update. Anyone that is not a investor will keep writing on this forum so they can see Michael go down and ruin the investment meaning I and other investor lose all of our money. I've kept an eye on this forum and I feel it was time I stated my research.
- don m replies to True investorsWhy would M.Nascimento be sent to prison a person must break the law first, why was pearl sold?sounds very strange what did amber pay?who had what right to sell?more quetions than answers.
- d t replies to Anonin response to your query you need to contact action fraud because all the information is of a sensitive nature and of a confidential matter
- Fred replies to True investors| 1 replyAmber Crest is purely a way of Mr Nascimento making some fraudulent money from Pearl Island whilst pretending not to be connected to the fraud. He didn't really "sell" it; he gave it to cetain people he is connected to in return for a cut. See the posts above. It appears from above that he can be connected to it; I do not know if this will affect obtaining the hotel licence if he is arrested again and I would agree with you that he wants to obtain this. More and more people are complaining about Pearl Island/Amber Crest which puts pressure on the police. Obviously if he can satisfy the Pearl Island investors then the problem for both projects goes away. God knows why they have to wait until November for news; the planning zoning has been released weeks ago. There are supposed to be contingencies for all planning situations.
Re your other points it is incorrect to say that there is nothing any investor can do regarding Amber Crest. It is not a sophisticated fraud. There is plenty of simple evidence for the police to investigate. Obviously there is no crime as such if there is financial restitution via a sale to a developer and this should be the preferred scenario for the planitiffs.
Before Morgan Forbes Mr Nascimento was a senior manger just below the level of director for Aston LLoyd, which was a massive sophisticated Ponzi scheme that stripped 10 million pounds from ordinary people and is still being investigated by the City of London police. He was not the architect of this scheme but it is not great to have this on your CV followed by the problems with Morgan Forbes and Amber Crest.
Before that he was connected with the Hamilton Bentley land banking which again lost the investors all their money and which is where he first met Stephen Murrell; the lawyer who was struck off and who stays in the background as a convenient person on which to blame all the problems of his current projects.
As far as I know the hotel and the Pearl Island are the first legitimate projects that Mr Nascimento has been involved with, although he has gone about operating them in an illegitimate way whilst waiting for the Madeiran planning delays to be resolved. He stands to earn money and also some respect if he is able to get these projects over the line. I don't think he would be happy if these projects failed and he went to prison, as you suggest. He appears to be have a good name in Madeira at present, including with senior people.
There are annoying people on this forum who just want Mr Nascimento to fail. However his investors do not, no matter what dodgy things he has done. Nevertheless he does seem to need to show more urgency re Pearl Island than he has hitherto demonstrated, because events can spiral out of control. - don m replies to FredI fully agree with your post,it is a pity more posters on the forum cannot post sensible comments.
- whateverI just hope that Mr Nascimento Snr went to his grave a proud man, and I truely hope that Bella grows up to be proud of her daddy!
- Anon Mug| 5 repliesCatching up on the posts on the thread..
Morgan Forbes website says planning permission has been passed.. No dates given.. No location.. The twitter feeds are crap, and so are the Amber Crest ones (and TOTALLY unrelated to anything to do with Madeira or the business itself)
Oooh the golf course is underway.. Yep, read a post from last year by a guy that had been involved in the project from an architectural view. Project ground to a halt 2-3 years back, around the time the Banks went Belly Up.. Check the Nick Faldo site.. unless new update in last month.. nothing on there since it was announced..
Nascimento 'sold' the stuff to another company. Yea and Starbucks Belgium selling stuff to Starbucks UK, and all monies go via Starbucks Ireland, and they're all tooooootally separate..No connection at all..
You paid monies into one bank account which would be the ONLY Bank Account the company has access to.. Because inter-account transfers to accounts that mugs like us are unaware of would be impossible.. naturally.
Btw Morgan Forbes 'sold' the Pearl Island/whatever its called this week project to someone else, and has 'nothing' to do with it because of FSA pressure. Found the letter informing me of it the other day..
Has anyone been able to leave a message on the Amber Crest number? I did get through to a Portuguese call centre that had to email Amber Crest to get them to call me (3 months back, still waiting).- Caller: Amber Crest

- Insider| 5 repliesJust so you guys are aware, First Capital Wealth's sole office based at Tiller Road E14, was raided and shut down by the FCA on Wednesday 23rd October, they have been ordered to cease trading with immediate effect whilst they are investigated and charges are brought forward for the individuals involved.

- don m replies to Insider| 4 repliesHuw Edwards is named to be a director of First Capital Wealth,on a website there is a First Capital Wealth Madeira, any connection with M.F. or others,
- Insider replies to don m| 3 repliesNo there is not. FCW is just another sales company selling carbon credits and rare earth metals. Is on there website.
- GET A GRIP replies to Insider| 2 replieswhere on the website does it state that they offer rare earth and carbon, come on seriously get a grip, the information you are providing is incorrect, it is people like you that destroy companies rather than see them for what they are. I have invested in Morgan Forbes and also Acropolis, yes i have a delay in my payment but that is only expected, they have kept me up to date, First Capital are nothing to do with the other companies that you are spouting on about ???
- Rick replies to GET A GRIP| 1 replyFirst Capital Wealth are to do with these other companies because I have spoken to them on the phone. They are a company who cold call customers offering investments in property in Madiera. On the website they display offices around the world, these do not exist. They operate from 88 Wood Street which is a virtual address. According to Companies House they are 4 months old.. They have filed no accounts and have capital of £1000. They were previously known as Global Media Leads Ltd. They have one director - Hugh Edwards.
They operate abroad through Berkley Brookes LLC who have no means of contact.
They are anxious to get your money and outline the investment opportunities but fail to mention any risks.
If the deal is so good why are they cold calling investors?
The Financial Conduct Authority cannot comment on individual companies but will tell you that information like that outlined above is highly suspect . Listen to them by all means but take advice and research the company before investing. - don m replies to RickI agree with you,the information you have given is correct and on the website, which brings me to the point why were Morgan Forbes cold calling 4 years ago.?
