- don m replies to Anon| 2 repliesSo what is your knowledge of Morgan Forbes,AmberCrest, and the Madeira property investments, they have taken investors money for four years, and just say everything is in order. As yet a single brick has not been laid.
- don x replies to don m| 1 replyThere was never any intention to build anything, just get planning permission, which was delayed due to external factors, and then sell.
The hotel investors look like they will be alright, if the land can be bought and Mr Nascimento isn't brought down by the Berkeley Brookes fraud, to which he is connected by a paper trail. We don't know what is going to happen with the Pearl Island land; this is the big problem - ? replies to don xthe amber crest site don't exist any more ? any info
- Anonymous| 5 repliesThe investment Berkeley Brookes was offering was the Pearl Island shares!
http://berkeleybrookes.com/the-project.html
The FCA and Madeiran authorities will now be all over Morgan Forbes, Acropolis SGPS, and Amber Crest like a rash. I wonder how many times over they've sold the non-existent Pearl Island shares.
Funny how it's all gone quiet on the 'November newsletter' front....
I would suggest Pearl Island shareholders contact action fraud immediately or face losing all their money like the Berkeley Brookes investors.
Although the only plus side is that if the matter is investigated as a crime then there is some hope that investors might get their money back through the Proceeds Of Crime Act. This possibly goes for the Berkeley Brookes investors as well.
http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/ - Anon2| 9 repliesFollowing the closure of Berkeley Brookes and First Capital Wealth, the FCA have left details in the article below for contacting them regarding other affiliated companies such as Morgan Forbes, Acropolis SGPS, Amber Crest and other boiler rooms run by Michael Nascimento.

- don m replies to Anonymous| 4 repliesIf the shares do not exist the investors money will be long gone spent on fee's for brokers etc and a large villa appartment in Monaco.
- Tom Cahill replies to don m| 3 repliesI love Monaco and I've seen where Michael lives.
- don m replies to Tom CahillGreat spread the news this has been a big con mon ami ...
- don m replies to Tom CahillI cannot understand how any person of sound mind would invest in these rip off cons""!!
- Anonymous replies to don m| 7 repliesThe director of Berkeley Brookes and Amber Crest is Tyler Jackson:
https://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/02081509083/31
Tyler Jackson is the son of Lynn Howard who is a personal friend of Michael Nascimento, and whonwas also a director of Gallisard however it is now run by Sami Raja and Ansar Ali:
http://blogs.mirror.co.uk/investigations/2012 ... ent-scam-o.html
http://companycheck.co.uk/company/08114228/GA ... #people-summary
Clicking on the links for Sami Raja and Ansar Ali gives details of other boiler rooms they run along with their associates, all part of Michael Nascimento's circle of fellow criminals.
Berkeley Brookes, Amber Crest and Acropolis SGPS were/are selling shares in Pearl Island despite Morgan Forbes and Michael Nascimento being instructed by the FSA not to sell shares in or to the UK without regulation:
http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/news/artic ... es-economy.html
Berkeley Brookes has been shut down and the assets frozen so Michael Nascimento and his cohorts can't touch them. The FCA probably haven't connected Amber Crest, Acropolis SGPS and Morgan Forbes to Berkeley Brookes as it's a fairly complicated web at first glance. Amber Crest have probably taken their site down themselves to try hide incriminating evidence regarding them selling Pearl Island shares.
The FCA have left a link for any Pearl Island investors to contact them if they have any info on Berkeley Brookes or other companies that sold them the Pearl Island shares:
http://www.fca.org.uk/news/warnings/first-capital-wealth-limited
I would also recommend contacting Action Fraud: http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/
As well as Tony Hethrington (Daily Mail) and Andrew Penman (Daily Mail) as any publicity they produce regarding this matter will put extra pressure on the authorities to act.
The plus side is that if you do officially report yourself as a victim of the Pearl Island scam, then you at least have some chance of getting some of your money back through any assets seized via the Proceeds Of Crime Act. This includes investors in Berkeley Brooks. Although the FCA have taken their own action you can still report it to the police as a victim of fraud. - don m replies to AnonymousAcropolis s.g.p.s., then Amber Crest Investments were selling the same shares in the Madeira building projects, that Morgan Forbes had sold two years previous, just goes to show one big con.
- Anon| 7 repliesThe FCA have said they are actively trying to retrieve the funds of Berkeley Brooke's clients that invested into the Pearl Island project.
http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/fca-shut-down-suspected-boiler-room-nov13 - s replies to Anon| 6 repliesso what happened to the other investers who invested in likes of pearl island amber crest acopolics what ever they were called will they get there money back ???
- Anon replies to s| 5 repliesYou need to contact Action Fraud and/or the FCA via the links above.
The FCA are already trying to retrieve investors funds from the frozen Berkeley Brookes funds. People who bought Pearl Island shares through Morgan Forbes, Amber Crest or Acropolis SGPS would have to contact the FCA and/or Action Fraud so the FCA can freeze/seize the funds of those companies. If Michael Nascimento and his associates are convicted then further funds can be retrieved through the Proceeds of Crime Act. - Get a life replies to AnonTom Cahill
