Looks like "Parliamentary Information Office" has a new number (see 02089564065). Just took a call from "Robert Clarke" re: government project we're working on. Asked for our director (who was busy, fortunately). Will see what happens over the next few days.

Today he is calling himself Stephen Bishop.

Now on to flogging an Annual Ministerial report on Environmental Excellence - not the first time they have managed to get past the PA firewall - but hope it might be the last!

Caller named as a David Castle

Avoid - don't answer the phone!

Obvious marketing call asking for Director.  Called himself Alexander Van Del and put on a posh accent.

Apparently Project Director on Gov Project regarding IT tech.

Very believable guy called Lawrence Rowe from the 'Parliamentary Information Office' wanted to speak to a senior member of staff... thankfully he's away, so I didn't waste his time putting him through.

I had a call from this number - a guy called David Chen - asked to speak to the Director (he asked for him by name) about a government initiative/parliamentary yearbook. My director was busy. Looked up the parliamentary yearbook online and looks legit but something tells me not to pass the message on.

Very insistent and brusque - just ask them to email their proposal and they soon bring conversation to a close!

William Rose of The Parliamentary Information Office left a message on my phone for me to call him on 0208 9564110 regarding a report on Excellence in British Manufacturing. Sounded suspicious so I googled it & have now warned everyone in the company.
Looking forward to his next call - don't get uptight, get mean & have fun!

Called office and asked to speak to Director.
Gave name "David Castle" from "Parliamentary Information Office"...
Googled it and found this page.

Received a call from the above number spoke to Willim Rose who claimed to be Parliamentry Officer involved with Excellence in manufacturing for the government Parliamentry Yearbook. He is offering an A4 page in a leatherbound volume of the above. for a fee of £2750.00 or a double page spread for £4,950.00. He suggested that we view both the Parliamentry year book and the Goverment Responses.
He will call back later in the week.

Our office took a call from a John Gower Smith 'from the Olympic Delivery Authority' on this number. I called it back and they are the Parliamentary Yearbook. They must think we are stupid. Muppets.

Called and insisted on speaking the the MD.  Said they were the Parliamentary Information office.  Clearly a sales call with the sales person getting very flustered when they were interupted and asked what the purpose of their call was.  They did not answer and hung up

call asking for MD who wasw out of office - his name was David Castles regarding "good news", re: government report on energy efficiency and sustainability - as always I looked it up on here and at least now I can tell my MD its probably not worth bothering with

Just took a call from Edward Conway at 'Blakes Parlimentary Office'. He asked for our MD by name, thankfully she is not here so I told him she was unavailable. He left a message with me saying they are involved in a 'government report regarding excellence in IT' and he was 'absolutely sure someone of her standing would know all about the report' - yeah right! After googling them I will not be passing the message along!

Received call from Charles Montgomery said he was from Blakes, London.

Wanted to speak to our MD about a Government Report. Luckily he is out for the day!

Something didn't seem right - could have fun if he calls back tomorrow... see if if I can get him off his script..

We had a call from this number asking to talk to our director about European collaborative research projects.  Said his name was Laurence Fitzroy (as best as we could interpret it from our answering machine) from the European Information Office.

As he called after hours he only got the answering machine but he addressed our director by first name and asked us to ring him back.

As we are a Germany company based in Heidelberg - it seems that they are going European with their "marketing".

A Mr. David Edwards called and wanted to know who was in charge & then wanted to be put through straight away. When I mentioned that I had spoken to his supposed PA a couple of weeks ago he flatly denied this and said they had never contact us before. I'm going to file his message under B!

We just had a call for our MD but he isn't in the office today.   An Elizabeth Cohen rang and asked if I could get him to call her on 02089564110.  She said that she was from the Parliamentary Office in London and wished to speak to him about a Govenment initiative on Corporate Social Responsbility.  I had the uneasy feeling that this was a sales call so googled this page.
