this phone number keeps ringing me constantly but when i answer they hang up. I have tried calling it but it is not a recognised number.

I get a call from this number nearly every day and have been for the last 2 to 3 months.  I announce my compnay name then the caller hangs up!  Really fed up now.....

Several calls on a daily basis but silence.  Sick to death of it.

had a call from this number, answered, 25 seconds, no answer on the other end and then a click and got cut off!! wish i knew who these ppl are :(

No one there and call ended.

Been receiving this call about lunch time every day this week, no one in to answer and they don't leave message - not really surprised about that.  I have suddenly remembered that my phone can actually bar numbers so I'm trying that.

Called, hung up on answering.  Dumb or what?

I  had enough of these calls so the only thing I could as a TalkTalk customer was to use the talktalk call barring service, if the number rings you again you can barr that number, you'll find all the details here  http://www.talktalk.co.uk/help/phone/how-do-i-set-up-last-caller-barring.html  It is useful if you are a TalkTalk customer but I'm sure most phone services provide a similar service. I have just barred 02135371000 from ringing me again, thank goodness :) I wish you all luck in getting rid of this number 02135371000 and any other similar anoying number(s) from your life.

Answered imediately and the caller hung up

I have been getting these calls now for at least 3 weeks every day 3 or 4 times a day and now its driving me mad, whenever i answer the call there is no one there .
They should be strung up

I am receiving calls from the above number and it is becoming annoying

Nearly everyday I get a call from this number but no message or caller.

I keep getting a number of silent calls from this number, but when you call back the number is not recognised, I am grieving through the loss of my husband and I don't need this bloody crap

we have had a few calls from this number, the latest was today 8th may 2010.
cant anybody stop them.

just had a call from this no. when you pick up they hang up, its such a pain.

Spoke to a lovely lady at BT who deals with malicious calls.  Apparently 02135371000 and 0002135371000 is an overseas call centre. The reason no-one answers is that their computer is constantly dialling numbers and any that are answered are passed to a free operative.  Because of the high number of calls that aren't answered or people who hang up, the computer dials more numbers than the number of operatives. It might dial 100 numbers but only have 10 staff available to speak, in other words.

BT said that the computer targets specific areas of the country at a time, trying each number they pick for 2-3 weeks before moving to a different area.  Every time you answer the phone you are telling the company that yours is a valid number so they'll keep trying to ring you for longer.  The best thing to do is use caller display or let the call go to answerphone to screen the call; the more you pick up the phone the longer they will pester you.

BT also said this number has been associated with scammers.  At the moment there is nothing BT can do, but they are putting steps in place to stop these sorts of calls and she intimated it wouldn't be long before they could stop them.  Thank God!

keep getting silent calls from this number when i phone it back it is not available who is it and please stop pestering i am on TPS too!

This number has been calling us for over a week now and when we answer just clicks off and goes silent
