- information provider| 12 repliesThis is a marketing company inviting you for an interview. It is part of a network operating a pyramid-style recruitment/sales scheme. They advertise and recruit aggressively, interviewing large numbers of people for door to door, commission-only sales. Almost everyone who applies is offered the job. Well, really there is no job, as you are required to sign a form saying you are self-employed. So there is no financial risk to the company, no matter who or how many they employ.
Presently the Coventry office operates under the names Aspire Aquisitions, Pure Solutions Direct and Source Marketing Direct. Other companies in the network include those listed below. Google will tell you lots more. Use Google's Forums and Blogs options to avoid being swamped by their job ads.
Take care and, if you are job hunting, good luck! If you have more information, please post it up!

VI MARKETING SOLUTIONS - helene| 2 repliesThey called me as well.
I don't like their manners to contact us.
Few days ago,i found on internet a job where they didn't ask for experience. I thought, great, i can apply for this job... but they were very vague tho about the things to do
ASPIRE ACQUISITIONS called me for an interview that i apparently passed with success. The woman asked me to come back the day after for a test, still without to describe me really the job. Finally, the day after, i was with 4 guys in a car, going in the middle of nowhere for door to door. I was supposed to stay 'til 5pm when suddenly the manager informed me i was gonna stay til 8.30/pm. What????!!! I replyed. ... NO WAY, I left, but being in the middle of nowhere i had to take several trains to get home.
Conclusion, this is a rip off, they are irrespectful! Some other companies called me few days after saying : congratulation, we want you for an interview!! I can't believe they are saying that!!
Now, as soon as I get a call offering me a customer service job about marketing, i refuse immediately- Caller: 02476220500
- truehi, i got 2 calls from this Aspire/Spurce marketing company today. I have applied the jobs from them yesterday, cant believe they call me that soon, I was too excited to hear that they offer me a chance to go for an interview tomorrow. However as I look at Aspire website, I think all the information is vague and basically no job spec! and i dont like the manners of the women who called me today, she just ask me to wait 15 mins and she will call me back after she find my application, but after like 1.5 hr she didnt call back, so i call her again, and she said she will send me an confirmation letter for my interview, but i didnt receive any email afterward!! and at night the other girl call me and ask me to go for the same interview, i explained to her that one of their staff already called me and book me in for interview but she said my name wasnt there. At that time, I think this company is not worth to try, they are not organise at all generally. I dont think i am going to the interview after reading all these comments, thanks all!!

- Mooch| 1 replyI've been offered an interview Today from Castle Road Marketing, after reading these comments, doubt I'll turn up for the interview. It said that the wage would be £16,000+ sounds a bit too good to be true that, I'll try somewhere else, I'm in no rush.
- AshleighI worked for this company for just under 2 months, do not make the same mistake it is a scam! I was working 6 days a week for an average of 11 hours a day and made next to nothing! You have to pay for all your own travel expenses and it's almost impossible to quit. It is made out to be a fantastic opportunity but do not be fooled!

if u dont mind can u just call me on 07578035788...i have some doubts - SairaLouiseI had an interview at Castle Road Marketing, I didn't know what the company was called until just over an hour before my interview, as the e-mail they sent me with directions ect hadn't sent, so I didn't have the time to do research.
I didn't think the interview went that well, but everything people have mentioned in these blogs, forums, was said. I got a call back for a second interview.
No matter how much they are glamourizing this, it is not based on salary it's commission, teleslaes door to door. They state you are slef employed to make it legal, as you are not getting a salary. They were formed in Feb 2009, and haven't even filed ANY of their accounts. So please don't waste your time for even one interview. I drove 312 miles for the interview, cancelled valuble plans just because I hadn't done my research.
They rang me off 0161 200 1118
My second interview is tomorrow, I'm blocking their number and not going.- Caller: Castle Road Marketing

- RHi,
After reading all the posts I am surprised I fell for a similar scam. I graduated in the summer and was also finding it really difficult to find a job, until I found a company on the total jobs website. Initially I thought it was too good to be true but sent my CV in anyway. The next day I had an email inviting me to come in for an interview, which I went to. Vague is definitely how I would describe their wording of the job. I stuck with it and went to the second round interview. At this point I started to worry as how can an 18 year old who has not been to university show you round and interview you for a graduate job?
I started working for them thinking at least I could make some cash while I looked for a new job, but they started moving me round onto different "campaigns", talk- talk was the first, then Miller Patterson and finally the make over one which many on these websites have commented on.
The penny finally dropped for me when we went to the "rally" as they called it. It was in Birmingham, we had to pay to travel up there, but once I got there I was so shocked by how massive the "company" was. It is all over the country. They had a massive stage, a dance group perform at the start, awards were given out to the people who had done well (aka sold lots) and dance music on while no one was on the stage to keep the crowd hyped up.
After the rally I quit.
All I can say is be very careful when you go to the interview. Ask lots of questions and if your gut tells you something is wrong, then it probably is. I think I only stayed the few weeks I did as the people who I worked with seemed so nice. Do not be fooled by that. Some are genuinely nice and do want to be your friend. The rest are only their so they can use you to get to the next level and get more money.
The "company" I worked for was not in Coventry, but I would warn any friends throughout the country to stay well away from them, unless they really want to work for a pyramid scheme.- Caller: lmc marketing

- ElleTwo words. Oh God.
I saw this job advertised on totaljobs.com and all I have to say is this: Any company that is looking for people with no relevant experience or education (which in my opinion is extremely important to show ones level of intelligence) and then eagerly call them straight away to offer an interview, there has to be a “scam” somewhere. I find it insulting and degrading, I feel very sorry for people who are fooled by this but then only a fool can do a fools job. - JoshsHey ive set up a facebook page on these kind of groups to share experiences/help spread the word :

- DaveMy daughter worked for one of these last week. She put in over 38 hours for nothing amd she had to make her own way out to the place they told her (Manchester to Macclesfield one day).
I work for the HMRC and even though they claim this is a self employed position it does not meet that criteria and as such should be paying National Minimum wage. You do the hours that they state at the place they tell you and you have no control over the stock. I have reported them to the HMRC National Minimum wage team this morning, and if they have are above board they have nothing to worry about.
If anyone takes a job similar to this in the future you can check to see whether you are classed as employed/self employed on the HMRC website
