My friend is another optus prepaid customer and someone from optus called her home the other day. They were offering her a new deal for her prepaid mobile that would save her $$$!!!. Unfortunately she agreed to it at the time then later found her bills were so much more than before. She was so angry and called Optus to switch her back on to prepaid but they were like "well, it's your own fault for agreeing in the first place"....wtf??

I keep getting calls from this number aswell. First they call me from this number then switch it to 'Private.'
For the last week I've been getting calls from 'O3' numbers related to Optus services.
Next person who calls me from a number like this will get a whistle blown down the phone!

Just call Optus (I did) and you can opt out (should take 24 hrs to take effect).

I just got a call from this number. No answer when I picked up. I am optus pre-paid and also got a call from 08 6210 2310 yesterday.

It's a marketing compnay called OCIS.  Website: www.ocis.com.au
They work for optus.  email the following ppl to be removed from there lists.
i just sent emails to any addresses i could find on there website.

I've had three calls this week from numbers that aren't in my phonebook, 0398382018, 0399377800 and just this morning 0281143800.
Decided today after missing the third one that I would google to find out what's going on. From what I've read it seems like they're all dodgy companies claiming to be calling on behalf of Optus.
I'm on Optus prepaid and it sounds to me like they've been giving away my personal details.

ive had a call from this number before and it was a pre-recorded voice messsage from what i guess is an optus representative jus tryn to sell you something. as soon as i realised it was and pre-recorded advertisement from optus, i thought, wow, so they are now stooping as low as this to get us to give their multi-million dollar company even more money?!
ITS ANNOYING OPTUS! I ALREADY BUY UR PREPAD VOUCHERS!

i just got the call
and spent 10 minutes trying to tell the lady that i preferred to stay on prepaid
she eventually said "look mate, its quite straightforward really" - classic in the accent
but anyway... it stuffed up soon after, and i ended up listening to her trying to coax someone else into changing plan!!! so hit record on my phone, and now its on my phone memory

Been called by this number 4 times in as many days. Last year I was getting the calls from the 03 number. I'm an Optus post-paid customer on an iPhone 3G plan with over a year to go.

Just had a call from this number too. no one says anything; just heard background noise. then they hung up

OPTUS are in on these scams BIG TIME!
Obviously they sold my number to these scam freaks in Nigeria. So I called Optus Customer Care to block this damn number and they said they cannot not do that for me because they cannot find it on the database. Vain much? They have every number listed on there system. What lairs!
And the only option Optus would give me was to block all international calls which I agreed to and as for losing all my $50 phone credit they will top it up only to $15.
They did none of this for me. They lied to me and I am still receiving these phone calls from Nigeria and my $15 hasn’t come through... yet either.
So tomorrow I'm going to call the Ombudsman and Consumer Affairs and stuff them up good!
I'm going to take this matter as far as the eye can see!!!!!!
And let me tell you they are going to be sorry for barking up the wrong bloody tree!
I encourage everyone to take action upon this matter and get them into big trouble for messing us around. More complaints to Ombudsman and Consumer Affairs the better!

ocis is a telemarketing company. they work for thier client optus. they sell optus mobile phone plans, which are pathetic...you will find better plans with other service providers

I got 3 calls from this number. I missed the first 2 and picked up the third. I knew it was dodgey(because my hubbie had looked up the number after having 2 missed calls from them) but i wanted to see what they had to say! The woman(with an indian accent) asked for my hubbie by name. I said this wasn't his number. Then she asked my name and for my 4 digit pin number. I said i didn't have a pin number. Her response was 'oh ok' she then said i should get my hubbie to put me on the account. She told me my call would be monitered and then asked if i was satisfied with my new optus service and i said i was and then we hung up.  I guess if i really did have a 4 digit pin things might have went differently.
