what the heck is all this about?!!! i don't want to be called by this number. can it be blocked? optus is ssooooooo annoying!

i got this call too.
i was realllyyyy scared at the time because it was an 02 number, meaning its from sydney.
i have a friend in sydney who i had a huge fight with, so i was scared he had given my number to one of his friends to like swear at me over the phone, so i guess im reaaallyy thankful its something else. but what is it??

I too recieved this call.
It is an optus scam, just ignore it and dont pick up.
Its as simple as that.

Optus prepaid here too, had this number call me but luckily missed the call

this number calls me all the time!!! at least 3 times a week... luckily i don't pick it up... its really annoying me.. i am too on optus prepaid... hmmmm strange

got a call from this number had a message girls in the back ground laughing and carrying on than they must of realised it was calling than they haung up. got  a call again from the same number but with a indian guy on saying stuff about optus i am with optus. i never recieve message about changing anything i dont want ppl ringing me up selling stuff i am happy with my phone and what i have if i wanted a new i would go and buy it. i am not going to answer it again.

I received this call as well but with only an echo in the background. No voice talked back and I said hello a few times. How strange Optus prepaid huh???? Lets just say I think they have a problem on their hands. Has anyone confronted Optus on this issue???????

i recieved a call tonight at 7pm very inconvenient. Also optus prepaid. I have recieved a call from them before trying to switch my rate plan..such a scam..i feel really sorry for older people who may get trapped by this sort of garbage

It was a call centre offering me a new 'plan' from optus.. told them I wasn't interested and that I was changing providers anyway.  I only answered because it was a Sydney number and I'm expecting calls from Sydney recruitment agencies...

same situation, optus prepaid. Is there a scam going on with charging you for your call?

I too am with optus prepaid & keep getting calls from this number. Call back & never get an answer. Optus should know better...

Answered it, it was from Optus marketing (or someone claiming to be) basically they ask you a few questions about your spending then try to get you onto a plan. I like prepaid as it is, and said I wasn't interested. Funny thing is I got the same call about a week later, I said I'd already said I was happy with prepaid. Fingers crossed they don't try again.

I just got a missed call from them too, not overly worried as long as they don't ask for bank details etc over the phone (thats a scam ladies n gents),

I only get about 1 call a month now form the 10 a day

Had a missed call from them. Also optus prepaid. First time its ever come up. I never answer unrecognized calls or private numbers so meh.

they've been calling me for two weeks now, I'll answer next time and tell them how annoying they are. btw, also on optus prepaid (I smell a conspiracy).

I've been getting calls from this number for about three weeks now, haven't answered any of them. I have been with Optus Pre-Paid for about 2 years and this is the first time that anything like this has happened.

Last month was the first time that I recharged online (I usually buy a vouched from the supermarket) now I am receiving these calls. Seems a big co-incidence??

yess ive been getting these calls from this number about 4 times a week for almost a month now, EXTREMELY IRRITATING, havent called em back and not going to... actually i might try a reverse charge call from a payfone, but i doubt theyd let that go through
and yes, i am also on optus prepaid!!!!!!
