    I have an optus prepaid mobile, and the home phone is through Tastel where i receive a phone call everyday on each phone. So damn annoying considering i am my own business and have many other important calls coming through. They never leave a voice message.

    I was unfortunate enough to receive the same call, .... lucky for me, i missed it.  Whooohoo....
    They called me on the 10th april 2008 at 1:29pm. I called them back today (13 april 2008) and the call didn't go through, must be because i called with hidden ID ... LOL
    I too am a optus pre-paid customer, i have 2 sims with optus. The funny thing is that they called the sim card which i don't recharge anymore. HAHA go figure.... I guess they just want more business.. Well, Im glad i googled it, as i didn't know it was an optus scam until now. And its saved now in my phone as 'DON'T ANSWER' ... so if they do call again, i will know not to answer it. My advice to all of you out there is to do the save thing. Save it in your address book as a "DONT ANSWER' contact in there. Unless anybody else has any better suggestions? I'm all ears, however, not all ears to 02 8114 3800 callers....

    i really don't think this is optus guy's..

    sounds like it may actually be a scam.

    you call them back from your mobile they hang up, re-direct your call and call some guy in a far away land how use's your phone as his slave.

    would'nt call it from a mobile, try a landline.. see what happens!!

    I've been getting a few calls from this number, just got one about 5 minutes ago and decided to google it. I'm also on an Optus pre-paid account.

    I wish they'd go away!!!

    I also am an optus pre paid user. They call me quite frequently. I have saved the number as "Pranker dont answer" They called me today and I pressed "Reject call." They actually left their number in the optus prepaid missed call service. What an extreme length of marketing? They are wasting their time.

    I have recieved a call from this number once a week for around 2 months now. A voice mail was left this time and it was complete silence on the message.

    I just got a call 2 mins ago... also had once last week. If it was important they would leave a message but they don't.  Must come from NSW somewhere with the interstate id of (02) at the beginning. I am also an Optus Prepaid customer.

    I got call from this number few times too. It started like 2 or 3 weeks ago. I've friend in Sydney so I thought them but they have mobile so if they really need me they can call from mobile and even send sms. It's very annoying and who got my number and why they can get my number? It happend after I changed to Virgin Mobile. I was using Optus before but wasn't problem.

    I just received a call from this number at 6:08pm today. I read the information on this number so i haven't called them back and i'm a prepaid Optus customer too

    I received one of these today. Got a woman with a thick accent and a lot of background noise asking for my father by name. (I believe the phone is under his name.) When she learned that my name wasn't what was registered, she asked if I wanted it re-registered under my name, claiming that if I did not, I would receive "a lot of calls addressed to" my father. She also asked my age, and tried to laugh it off when I told her it was none of her business.

    Hopefully nothing has happened over this. I've found this site and another describing the operations from this number, and will be ignoring them from hereon in. Haven't found much about what they're actually trying to accomplish here.

    just got a phone call from this number. it looked familiar from a couple of times over the last few weeks so i didnt answer. I dont know people interstate so i rarely answer calls from there as i'm always sus. I too am an optus prepaid customer. I always google the numbers i dont know.

    My 12yr old son uses Boost (Optus) prepaid, and I am the account holder. He has received several calls from this number asking to speak with me, they refuse to phone me on my mobile. I phoned the number from home phone,it's an answering service, & impossible to hear the name of the company. I will be contacting Optus.

    I just saw two missed calls from this number and attempted to call it back. However, each time I called this number it said 'Network Busy'. I am also on Optus Prepaid.

    I'm at optus pre paid as well and this number keep alling me with a different woman voice each time and keep asking about my husband! than quick "buy" when I mention that he's at work and they hang up. very stange indeed

    I got a call from this same number, I am optus prepaid but will change when this prepaid time limit or credit runs out. optus suck overall, not just because of this.
