I got a call like half an hour ago from this number as well. It's so weird, i saw the number i thought it was someone from overseas was calling or something. I picked up and there was this chinese lady saying "ni hao" blah blah and talk heaps of mando to me. i was like who are u and she kept on talking mando. do u guys have any clue who is this number?

THIS NO HAS RANG ME TWICE I LIVE IN PERTH JUST RINGS A COUPLE OF TIMES THEN HANGS UP IF I EVER GET TO ANSWER THEY WILL GET A PIECE OF MY F#%KING MIND NOW THAT I KNOW WHAT IM DEALING WITH

got one call

received call at 430am and could hear chatting in the back ground of male voices some in another language besides english saying i love you {talking to others} this number is attached to scammers in Nigeria

This number appears as the caller ID when people call you from overseas using a calling card.  It comes up when my friend calls me from the USA.

after recieving a call from this number this morning and google-ing(?) it I have reported the number to the Department of Consumer Protection in Western Australia via thier scam line and suggest you all do the same in your states.

maybe it will make a difference.

Got it too in Melbourne like 1 minute ago, highly annoying !

My husband just called me from London on his mobile and this number came up on my phone so I do not know the technical side of international calls but it seems it is a generic number for overseas calls from mobiles.

Same story as callers listed above.

Missed a call and called back twice to get a message saying the lines to that area are busy... strange

I got a call 11.45 pm last night - was my friend rob mccoy coming in on a voip style fone from cairns - he's australian ceo of giconnect, a service provider - i note that he comes in on a different number every time sometimes it's 0113111001 really odd numbers - giconnect gives u an american number and all calls in and out go through this number - it is a gateway and when the switching stuffs up anyone can get anyone.

me again ... appears to my friend to be 02-8209-4700 is an antiquated if you like gateway - he says that when the system overloads with too many callers (not giconnect, the gateway any vioce on data ie skype, giconnect, voip etc can be allocated) then glitches - when stressed (1) people already on calls can suddenly find themselves talking to a new connection (ii) multiple connections occur as when a free line is sought and it's busy callers (switches) from usually different parts of the world will go for the free line simultaneously and due to switching latency and a busy network two to several may be allocated the same line ... then stepping can get out of synch and (iii) a queued  string of callers may all be allocated the previous or following callers destination - so seems to be an old gateway that suffers under a load it was not designed for and trying to interface with too many networks that are very fast - this it what it appears to be -----

I've just received a call from this number 02 8209 4700.  It was a guy from google Adwords.

fret not people the number is as 'dick' said a gateway, which implies most of the calles made from overseas to australia using any sort of VOIP systems.... be it calling cards or Online systems like skype or yahoo ..... end up routing calls through this number.... :p

Called me around 10am aest , sadly I tried to call back 4 times before googling this info. Not happy.

I just got a missed call from this number, they left a voicemail.  It was from Zend (the php company). Someone was calling to bug me to renew some licenses.

This number keeps calling me between 6-8pm every night (Sydney time). Yet to answer it! It was anon number at first.
