i got this call too around 5-6pm sunday afternoon... it looked like a business number, but im just wondering who would call on sundays?

I got 0282094700 displayed as the incoming number. In my case it turned out to be linked to a reverse call number (not the same number as above). So these calls could possibility all be calls that had you answered you would have been charged for the call. Hope that helps.

Just got a call from them and it is a so called company that is meant to be in china. But they are working out of Sydney

I got 4 missed calls form this number on my mobile, certianly not ringing them back. No one I know.

3 calls that I couldn't hear the other end, 4th a person asked me my name, which I verified and then the call cut out, no more calls. After seeing this post maybe some kind of identity scam, tying a number to a name? Bizarre.

This number appears to be a skype-out number for Sydney Australia.

Its a proxy number that is used by IDD companies. The call be from anywhere.

Well - I tried to call it back but got a fax like tone too.
It's odd that so many people are getting a call from this number.
And at odd times of the day too.
Has everyones been on their mobile phone?
My number is listed on the "do not call" page - but not too sure if that page works very well.

bloody got called from this number late last night when I was asleep. Called multiple times.. Didn't answer cause I didn't recognize the number.. Wtf is this?

Identify Who Called Me?

Got a call this afternoon, didn't answer...tried ringing it back now (21:30) and it said "your call could not be connected...check the number..."

Got called by this number 3 times asking me if "i loved" the dialler. She had an Indian/sub-continental accent. I told her not to call back and she ceased dialing after I said she was making a very expensive prank call.

I live in sydney Australia and this number has also started calling me. Ends up being a fax tone. Started on 02-12-2008.

I wonder if is the local caller ID for incoming international calls. They have to come in from an exchange number here somewhere, and it might explain why you cannot ruing anyone back - just a thought. This number came up on my mobile at 10:00pm.

I get call from this number sometimes when i receive an international skype call to my mobile.
