I started reciving calls from this number yesterday 02-Dec. I didn't pick up the first time as the number looked suss and googled it and was amazed to find alot of people receiving calls from this number.

I had a feeling it may be coming from an offshore work team in India however I am not game enough to answer the phone incase I get charged a large fee.

Am considering calling my provider to block this number from calling my phone.

I did think that 0282094700 is an international call. Whenever my Mum call me from my country, I see this number.

Just got this call now, thought I recognised it so looked it up on google which led me here. Called back and was a fax tone....wonder who it was?

Got a call from this number few minutes ago, SYD Australia. Not the 1st time, and won't be last either for sure.

Its a calling card

It's from Hong Kong trying to sell something to do with oil. They called me loads of times. Even when they speak to you and you tell them you are not interested hey keep calling back unless you hang up on them in mid conversation. Then they stop.

1:19pm on my mobile - missed call. Strange. I am going to send them a fax telling them to **** off! haha!

I just received a call from my friend in India, this was the number that my mobile caller ID gave me, I rang him back and he assures me that he rang from his cell phone!

two calls between 5 6 pm. I am in Sydney

im in adelaide, australia and got a call 3:30am, 12:15pm, 10:15pm and 10:25pm. Who ever it is needs to get a life

I have been receiving calls from this number since Mon 1st December. 3 or 4 times a night starting at around 10pm and finishing at 4 or 5 am. The caller lets it rings twice and hangs up. First 3 nights - caller ID was barred but last night I got this number but when I called back, the number had been disconnected. I'm in Melbourne Australia and would be interested to know how many people's phone carrier is Optus.

I received a call from 0282094700 and when I tried to talk to caller he/she hanged up on me. I tried to call back the number and got fax tone!!

I jusr received 3 calls from this number she left a message yelling down the phone i cant believe this has happened!! sounded like she was crying.. no idea who this is??

Its usually someone calling on Skype

that's a lie. spam call. don't call them back or you'll be charged. this is recent wave of spam, it'll probably get caught soon. should put phone on silent at night especially during holiday time, dirty money makers, generally anything starting with '8' be suspicious. they probably got your number from an automatic scan online, you may have advertised your number online somewhere for business, ad etc. or sent it via email to someone, shouldn't publish your details online.

A lot of the newer landline numbers in Sydney start with an 8 - especially Optus owned numbers. That is a very general comment to be making.

Got a call this morning from this number from a known person in USA. He was using a calling card.
