Same has happened to me - asked for £1.Took £65 and have never seen a magazine or heard anything about spa vouchers. Thought I had sorted it out only to find that another £4.95 off my account today and £6.95 to another "affiliated" company for identity protection - that's a joke. Actually considering contacting police - soooo angry. This is theft! How do we stop these guys doing this? Have to wait till 10 until they open their phone lines. Absolutely raging.

I had the same thing happen to me I went to Money Claim Onling and finally got my money back plus court fees, it only takes a matter of minutes to fill out the form online and it only takes 28days after the claim has been sent.  Well worth a few minutes of my time.

This happened to me last Friday. They took £65. I contacted my bank and they reimbursed me.

I got a call about a new magazine which was supposed to be helping cancer charity.  When I rang the number to cancel I got a recorded message asking for subscription number etc to cancel.  But have just received credit card statement and they have taken the £65 for a years subscription.  My credit card company said they will pursue this as a dispute.

I stupidly took the magazine offer because it was for charity, then cancelled my subscription on receipt of the magazine in September.  I then had £4.95 charged to my credit card at the end of January !!  So far they have declined to say (never spoken to anyone but an answerphone) and I haven't had a refund yet it.

I also gave my card details and paid the £1 and when I did not receive the magazine I decided to google and found all of this! I have just cancelled my card, luckily before anything else has come out!  Still wandering if I will actually receive this magazine and spa voucher!!!

Had a call in January from 08445675026 to see if I wanted a trial viewing of a mag plus vouchers etc for £1 from my credit card.  He said it would be taken by SAFE SERVICES.  They took £1 on the 10th and £65 on the £17th!!  I have called 02920364220 and asked for a refund of the £65 and for the trial package to be sent.  Neither has happened and further calls to 02920 etc have resulted in no call backs.  Credit card cannot help and email to info@megroupinternatioal.com keeps being returned.  ANY SOLUTIONS PLEASE??

02920364220 Cardiff.  The same call happened today, saying about helping a cancer charity but the charity never heard of.  My mum stopped me from giving my bank details. I was just thinking about the charity.  Said I had subscribed to their magazine before but have never did.  So don't know where they got my details.

Phoned me and offered this ME magazine and assured me they would not take any more money from my credit card unless i continued wanting to receive the magazine and found on my statement they had taken £65 exactly one week later.Have tried to ring the company and have automated voice telling me the contact times and the phone goes dead even though I am calling within the contact times.I am hoping they wont take any more money before I can contact my credit company.

i received the same last year, i cancelled my card in December. Just received today by post "lets go rewards" free trial for 1 month, then they will take £8.99 a month, when i phoned, they told me they got me details and (old) card details from SAFE MARKETING SERVICES (ME Magazine)

Yep i've been done too!  Even though I work in a bank and they said didn't need my 3 digit security code on the back of my card was fooled.  So frustrated can't get a hold of them at all on the phone.  Letter going today recorded delivery and contacted credit card company who advised what to do.

This company is known as Safe Services / Me VIP.  I was contacted in September 2011 re a subscription of £1 charge to go to a cancer charity.  I asked if there was a catch such as would I have to cancel later, they said no, they lied.  My email cancelling my subscription bounced back and I just got an answerphone message.  Then in late January another payment of £4.95 was taken from my credit card details, which must be stored somewhere !  BEWARE these horrid people.  If the transaction is under £10 with Mastercard you will not be refunded and these people / or the charity ! get to keep your money.  I contacted these people and left messages (because they never seem to answer the phone) and no surprises they don't call you back.  Please somebody who can do something about companies like this lock them up and throw away the key.  The number contacting you will be 02920 364220.  (If those responsible are reading this you are total scumbags.)

My friend had the same problem they called saying would she like to see a new magazine that was coming on sale for £1 they offered other free gifts if she did this
.so she went ahead and took the offer woe and behold a few days later they took £65 from her account she called them and they said would refund the money ....blah blah i today called the offices on this number......02920364220....spoke to a chris martin who said he was a customer services manager and also said the money was being refunded i also got the adrress of the premises if this can be true here it is.../..........  SUITE 1 LANESBOURGH HOUSE,

BAD BAD COMPANY ANOTHER SCAM THAT NEEDS CLOSING DOWN

My mum has been scammed by there fraud steers, they are usine three differerent names on her bank statements.  ME VIP, Safe Choice and Safe Services.  They first took a payment for4.95 and then a payment for £105.00. Then a couple of weeks later another £20.00.  This has been going on two years!!  These fraudsters prey on the ill and vulnerable.  You must leave a message confirming you wish to cancel subscriptions and only after this has been done can your bank start to take action if the scumbags take any more.  Contact trading standards.  I have also cancelled mums card. It is very doubtful that we will get the £300 back.    Beware and avoid these!!!!!!!

Avoid these people at all costs!!  They just take money from yr account.

After a call to the police fraud and a couple emails to this company and also contacting the papers  today the money was put back in to my friends account but no doubt there a lot of other people not getting this responce contact the police fraud department

This is a scam. I work for new! magazine and we would NEVER call saying you've won spa vouchers and asking for credit card details. BEWARE.
