I have also been scammed by these people but they couldn't get the £1 so they waited til February 2013 to take £79.99 from my bank even though the account was closed last November.  I have had to change all my bank details and am still trying to get my money back.  Pigs might fly.

This company is based in wentloog business park St Mellons Cardiff.  It is a complete scam! Chris Martin is the manager and Wayne Phillips owns the company. When they take a £1.00 from you, what thhey don't tell you is that you have now subscribed to thee magazine unintentionally. They work til 8pm. Once you've bought the magazine expect phone calls offering you fraud protection. Its the same coompany!!! They use the charitysspin to suck you in- no money goes to charity. If they call you tell them you're on TPS and ask for theirs and their managers name. You'll never hear from them again!

I too have been done by Me group I have rang this number but the line goes dead but also there address is not the same as listed on this forum

Just searching for Sapphire magazine details as they have just ripped me off, guess what, same scammers as Me magazine, different number, same pitch, £1 to charity and took £79.99 TWICE.

i worked for this company a month back for just 5 days! i thought it was amazing aswell as the pay until i found out about what they do, half the time i was making sales of elderly people that couldnt even talk i felt so bad that i'd cry at every sale i'd make whilst everyone else clapped! after my 3rd day there i starting telling the people we were calling to not believe this company if they ever calll again knowning that i would quit i put most of the people i called on the 'never call again' list or the decessed list there was nothing else to do. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM there the biggest scammers ever! and the £20 fuel voucher ha, you pay then send the recept to the company which takes 30 days for them to send you a chque which then you have to put in your bank which will take a couple more days! & all the workers are under 25! all chavs i hated it so much i quit after 5 days what they do to the elderly people shcoked me!

I recently went for an interview with sapphire magazine, Pembroke house wentloog Cardiff. I got the job of course, went for me first day 'training' by the end of the day I was on the phones trying to sell, everyone I spoke to was older and felt so bad when I made my first sale. Needless to say I'm not going back to this scam company, also it's only Wayne who runs it now and they have just launched a new product called 'your medicine cabinet' BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY

today i came home to my grandmother asking me what was this letter about which she had recieved from an insurance company called ME VIP.. looking further into it i called the number and contacted them to say that we wasnt aware of this insurance policy being taken out. during the call the girl told me she couldn't delete the account of insurance but then somehow she did???? so will be looking into this more...but she also mentioned it was taken through a company called Me Magazine which had supposedly contacted my Nan back in October but my Nan said she hadn't be contacted. looking into it even more i tried looking on its website.. guess what no website but came across a website called made for mums forum looking through notcied people complaining that they have money taken out so on. so this made me ask my nan if i could look through her bank statements and noticed that in DECEMBER 2012 She had had £1 taken from her bank account from a company called SAFE SERVICES.. I Linked this to the complaints on the forum. looking more i noticed she had also had £79.99 taken a few day later... this was a year ago??  so with today's letter from Me VIP i managed to link everything together and it turns out to be a scam...
so with this just noticed it happened last year it is an ongoing scam.

I had the same problem with a company called sapphire mag.  They took the initial £1.00 said i would recive mag and £20..00 petrol voucher and i could subscribe if i wanted to no metion of a cancel period never recieved mag or voucher nex news two payments of £79.99 within 3 days was taken out of my credit card mangaed to speak to them now they have tried saying i have recived the mag so no refund will be given said they would sent refund for one but i have absoluteily no hope of getting any bacvk please be aware of sapphire mag xxxx

try this number 0844 567 1020 sapphire mag have spoken to them but dont hold up much hope of getting my money back

I too have done the same thing thinking I would get the £20 fuel vouchers in return for giving to a cancer charity and good cause I volunteered the £1 with no return but they dent the voucher ,I attaDched fuel receipts and sent them in. I had cancelled the subscription but this month they have taken £79.99 from my account, leaving us distraught as we do not have that sought of money and we are now left with debts because of this
