What are 03 numbers?

You have probably seen them around but what are 03 numbers and how much do they cost?

Ofcom introduced UK-wide 03 numbers as an alternative to chargeable 08 numbers, such as 0870.
These new numbers allow organisations to have a single national point of contact without consumers having to pay extra to call them.

Revenue sharing
Calls to 03 numbers cost no more than a national rate call to an 01 or 02 number and must count towards any inclusive minutes in the same way as 01 and 02 calls.

These rules apply to calls from any type of line including mobile, BT, other fixed line or payphone
Revenue sharing – where the dialled party can receive a share of what the consumer pays to make a call – is also not allowed on calls to 03 numbers.

Ì phoned the number back as i am 6.50 in arrears and the person was giving attitude.So i checked the number and ok it was the robbing TV people.

Definitely  TV Licencing, called me this afternoon cos Im behind with my payment plan, all legit

They rang me , I owe 6.50 wow go after the people don't pay anything

Complete [***]!....I've just moved into a new build and our tel number is not listed.....we've been getting these calls this past couple of months....we live in Northern Ireland and have a fully paid tv license!....for those that are on here confirming it's tv license wtf why would you bother?....I'm on here because I think it's suspicious but I wouldn't be otherwise!....I think there's more to all these 'informative people'....prob on the payroll!

Had a call from this number yeterday. Caller asked to speak to me, which is odd because the TV Licence is in my husband's name and we get a free licence anyway as we're both over 75. I suspected a scam and refused to speak to them.

Call the number back and it is indeed TV Licensing They denied calling me. I suspect an overseas call centre is spoofing the number and trying to get debit card details.

If in doubt call the number 0300 790 0364. That really is a number for TV Licensing.

BUT..
If you know anything about this whole UK setup, there is NO SUCH BUSINESS as TV Licensing.
TV Licensing is a Trademark of the BBC, who subcontract the work of collecting the license fee, along with the license (lol) to use the trademark, to a small group of DEBT COLLECTION companies. The main company is Capita (a f'kin bunch of irritating nobodies) who will be hard pressed to admit that they are Capita and insist on calling themselves TV Licensing in this case.

Deal with them at your own peril (remember, they side with arms dealers and our dodgy government, not with any of 'us')

This is  a iQor UK a debt recovery Agency now owned by Capita, one of the Dodgy Private Companies the government is using to Launder taxpayers money through like ATOS, A4e, G4, Remploy etc.  The BBC who masquerade as TV Licencing and Blackmail us all into Paying for the Governments Propaganda Machine.  They are based in Preston Lancashire.
I have had 2 calls recently from them but they fail to answer when you pick up the phone.  My TV licence is paid for and does not expire until August 2013.  So they are chasing me for payments towards Next Years licence.  It cannot be legal to set debt collectors onto people who have not paid for something they have not even had yet.  I may be dead by august or I may decide Not to have a TV any longer.  I wish they would call back soon so I can give them a piece of my mind.  As far as I am concerned they are Guilty of Blackmail, Extortion, Fraud, Demanding Money with Menacies by threatening legal action on people that have done Nothing wrong.

Got a dodgy call from this number . It's my new fone number bought today. F**k knows how they got the number.

They didn't get "your" number.       The SIM in your new phone probably has a number previously used by someone else.       You might well get a few calls for that person.

This number just called me but the thing is... I'm 14. I don't pay TV Licensing or anything. They've texted me as well but I chose to ignore them. I ignored the phone call as well as I've been taught not to answer to unknown numbers.

had a phone call this morning at 8.15 asking to speak to Mrs.... (me), my reply was 'not at 8 in the morning you can't and hung up! They need to revise what time they phone people!!

I underpaid last week by  £1.50 by accident i thought i had paid the right amount, and tbeyve rang over 1.50, how about harrassing the people that dont pay and leave the.ones that do pay alone

Its TV licencing, it seems dodgy as when you answer it rings, there is a click and then someone answers. Its def tv licencing as they new about my account. Its prob an organisation hired by TV licencing to chase arrears.
