sorry to tell you this fella but no free phone number is free on mobiles any longer,only from landlines and usually you will recieve a recorded message asking if you want to continue the call and charge rate for the call I.E usually 50p flat rate charge no matter how long the call lasts. so you could really only kick yourself for that!

This is real [***]. i had a letter from a company named Quando which had all my tv licensing details on as i fell behind with a couple of payments. same phone number as well. maybe they are a logistics company working for tv licence. it is not the usual format you would expect from tv licence either. i will investigate further and get back to you people spanner

Getting calls and text from this number but I have never given them this mobile number (it is new) AND ANYWAY i PAY BY DIRECT DEBIT AND HAVE A tv licence, all a bit WEIRD

I had a call off this number this morning. I said hello a few times and it was silent...perhaps they thought i had a very sexy voice...but eventually i hung up. If as everyone says it is tv licence then they do not have no need to call me as i am up to dont,and i certainly will not be calling this number back!!

I don't doubt that this really is TV Licensing, and that the 0300 number is genuinely one of theirs.

Does anybody else think this is a bit odd, though, presenting a geographic number ? Every other payment-chasing outfit by which I've been called presents a ripoff 0845 number or worse ?

What's the point of presenting a geographic number ? They won't make any money on the incoming call ?

Had a call to my mobile from this number on 3rd Nov 2010 @ 20:50 . They asked for me by my surname I said Speaking and they hung up.. The voice was of an asian male. I did not call back, nor will I give any details. Thanks for info!! ;) (They did not Identify who they were or why they were calling)

I've just had three calls off this number in the last 5mins, is there anyone we can make a real complaint to about this as todays calls are not the only ones I've had, they started about a month ago and I've had calls as early as 7.45. Although ive never answered them they really are starting to get annoying.

This is definitely TV Licensing. I got a call which I missed from this number, but they left an automated message quoting my name and my TV license number asking me to call them back. I am a little behind with my payments and they have already sent me a letter about it, so I suppose it was the next part of their procedure to call me about it......

I just had a call too - mine was morning though. Who calls at 20 past 8 in the morning?

I had a call from this 03005550285 number yesterday she wanted to speak to my husband it was the Tv Licensing Dept- I replied by saying ' sorry but that's not possible'..The person on the other end of the call insisted she speak with him asap..Again I repeated 'its not possible'..Caller got narky requesting my husband contacts them ASAP!...She was told to - go get a Medium - as he passed away 9yrs ago!! so its not Bloody possible!!!....Call was terminated immediately.... My License isn't even due for renewal until the end of the year!
