No idea had a call thismorning from the same number... sounds like a call center of some kind. as there was a silence then a click then a male voice, i hung up as i dislike cold callers!

just had a  call from this number also at 14:56.... anyone know who this is??

phoned them up...and its 'tv licencing'...

TV licensing is an 0845 number, I had a call about ten min ago from the 03005550285 pause then click, guy just kept saying hello so I hung up.

I have had a couple of these calls recently.  They left a voicemail saying that they are TV Licencing and left a reference number and asked that we call back on 0300 5550285.

I'm pretty sure they are not who they say they are and I am not calling back to find out!

Had a call from this number today. I answered but there was a long pause before they answered back so i put the phone down. If it's tv licensing as someone pointed out that is entirely a different number.
If they say they are tv licensing dont give them any details as they should know who you are if they are calling you and by no means give any details out at all.

just had a call also at 20:15, this was no time for courtesy calls from anyone, guy said he was from tv licensing and immediatly asked for my adress and postcode, they should be confirming to me who they are not the other way round, i told them nothing but i dont trust them, my license is up to date so i think at least they should revise thier courtesy call policies.....

had a phone call to say they was  from tv licensing  wantned my bank details please dont give to them i phoned tv licensing and are open from 8.30 to 6.oclock please report it

they said they was tv licensing at 10 to 9 this evening asking for me to pay as i am behind with my payments

I had a call too from this number 5 minutes ago,I didnt answer,got a massage from 901... and it's says tv licencig and I nedd to contact them Immediately...

Defo TV licensing     The number is on their payment card.

I don't even own a TV(never have owned one in the UK) and i have been getting calls in the past few weeks (at odd times too) and texts saying I owe money. They claim they have my bank details. when I phoned the number back yesterday a lady answered asking for my postcode and address. I refused to give her and details. It has to be a scam. if they contact me again  I will report them to the police.

this number phoned me this morning, im behind with tv licence payments, so it might be tv licencing people. they were texting me, must of got fed up doing that so decied to phone instead. god knows were they got my number from, baaa.

its safe......it is the Licensing customer service just phoned them back.  They dealt with my enquiry

I've had a couple of these one silent and one chasing someone who probably had the phone number before me as I've just moved and got a new number. I do have a TV licence at my new address so they have no reason to harrass me. I looked for a way to complain online but the only way seems to be by post and I found a freepost address: TV Licensing, Freepost BS6689, Bristol, BS1 3YJ. There is interesting information on the web on the powers that TV Licensing have and on the ways they harrass people for example tv-licensing.blogspot.com.

I am behind with my TV license have had 2 letters and missed a call from this no so it might be their collections centre

I'm sat here with my payment card now and this number is not on it at all!!! The number on the card is 03005550300. The number that keeps ringing is 03005550285!!! Is it normal procedure to ring people up? They've never done it before.
