This number called me a few times.I didnt answer.Thanks to all of u coz i checked this number here first.But then out of curiousity i picked up my phone.She said from Standard Chartered. Offered insurance. So,guys..dont worry..u wont lose anything if u ignore this number.Definitely not a call to tell u that u win a BMW or something..he3.

I received the call for these 2 days... I didn't pick up the call, but I can't get through this number when I tried to call back.  Fortunately, I found the information from here.  Besides, please becareful when you received from this number +603-27196800, I believe it is also a scam call.  Thanks for sharing.

Wow, luckly i google it. I got a call from this number yesterday and today. Everytime when i pick up the phone cut off, so annoying. WHen i call back the network busy. I will ignore this call in future.

I received a call from this number early last month, and the caller is calling on behalf of an insurance co. She explained the plan benefits which is quite good. i did asked her from where did she get my contact number, and she explained that they have been appointed as a third party call center by the insurance co to do telemarketing for the plan. She is very polite and to my surprise, very much co operative in telling me the truth on how the insurance co doing the business with her company. I asked her to call me back the next day.
I take the liberty to ask her for a number i could contact to verify all the information that was given. And after calling the insurance co hotline no, true enough they did confirm that the insurance plan does exist and they did OUTSOURCE it to some other co to do the telemarketing.
The girl called me back the next day, and asked whether i do have any other concern in regards to her explanation the day before, and did I verify the information with the insurance co.
As i was actually looking for an additonal insurance plan, I agreed to take the plan. Yes, she did asked me for my personal details eg. ic no, address for the polict to be sent to, and CC no and the expiry date. When I asked her why i should give me all the details, she again explained that they are not calling from the bank and hence, they need to get it from me in order for the insurance co to do the necessary process and deduction for my enrolment. After a lots of probing questions to her and getting her full name, her IC no for my safe keeping, i gave her the information that was needed.
I did check my CC transaction details few days fater that, and I am glad that only the amount that i agreed has been deducted from me as per my agreement for the insurance plan.

Well, from this experience, if you receive any call either from this no or any other no that you did not recognised, and somebody is telling that they are calling to share some promotions and calling on behalf of any co, give them a fair chance to explain. If you felt that its not a genuine call, you can always ask questions after questions after questions and call up the co that they are representing. I believe they are actually just telemarketing people, just doing they job. Once you are satisfies, and if you do fancy what they are actually promoting, you can take all the neccesary precautions by verifying all the info and taking down all the details for your safe keeping. (Not saying that you can just simply trust anybody who is calling you, but like the girl said, " If this is a scam, would it be easier if I informed you that you have won RM50k and we will deposits the money to you, rather than me expalining about the insurance plan?"). Do your investigations and satify yourself before making any judgement.
Btw, I did make a claim for the 1st time for the plan that i bought from this girl just a few days back annd now waiting for my claim to be sent to me. :)

my case is even worse.. i am maybank credit card holder... the person from this number called me and informed me that my insurance policy is ready and they need my credit card details to deduct the fee. i refuse to do that and they keep on telling me that i have to pay as they already prepare the policy. i am pretty sure that they are from 'takaful'. the agents some time use their personel number to talk to us.. please beware.

Ops i have got the same call....but thank GOD i din reveal any of my details and i told her(The ccp) that i will walk in to nearest branch...but sherefused to do so..and finally i yelled at her and hang the phone as i was driving

Received calls from this number several times. The girl claimed she's doing telemarketing from Symphony BPO Solution, a party assigned by Prudential Malaysia to market a special medical plan called Enhanced Hospital Income Plan. (May refer to this link: http://www1.mbfcards.com/download/EHIP.pdf) I asked where did she get my contact, she said is from banking company when we apply for credit cards. There is a column where we can tick to agree details sharing with third party.
Later when I asked my friend, worked in Symphony BPO Solution before, he said one of the banks he knows is Citibank, they sell clients' contacts to other company.
So, friends, beware when you apply for credit cards =)

Just receive call from this number too, many times since last week.
when I call back, it's an electronic voice speaking in Mandarin
"Please press 1 for room reservation"
"Please press 2 for room modification"

called me for promoting cpp on behalf of Maybank.

Yup received this call too (2 aug, 4 aug), claimed they are representative of prudential with special telemarketing insurance offer. I suspect this is scam oso, but I'm still listen what she want to said...haha feel kinda happy after 15minutes she talk to me and i rejected the offer..

reason to be suspect:
1) if they claimed themselves from local bank, example Citibank, may bank - mostly their number are hidden (unknown caller number), and they won't ask for our credit information like Credit card number, account number. If u really interested in their offer, try to tell they to call back while u can refer back to the respective local bank to do necessary verifications.

2) Insurance - if they claimed themselves only offer insurance with great deals and limited thru telephone line only, try to call the official helpline number of the insurance company too. they will surely know what doing on if there any offer or deal been assigned to any 3rd party agent to offer to their customers.

got a misscall, lucky didnt pick-up, better save the contact number under SCAM & Scabbies liar -pick credit carder.....

this no belong to symphony group of companies,one of the biggest call centre in malaysia,the company run a few project with the bank,and also insurance company,no worries,i would say this is a genuine call to all visa n master card holder,u can check the company profile,and the company is located at ara damansara,the purpose of the call is to sell insurance product directly to customer,and the reason why u cant go directly to the bank bcoz,the policy that been sell cant be sell by the insurance agent,n the policy that offer is specially design by insurance company only 4 the telemarketing product,i would suggest,whoever received call from this no,u can just listen n u may decide after that,if u think this is a fraud case,go google bout the company,n u can check the company belong to who..

these no very annoying me... keep calling me from morning until now! (4:38pm)... luckily i didn't pick up the phone....

I received call just now. Saying that she is from Maybankcard providing promotion. I told her to send me the detail by email. She said she can only provide this service on the phone. I then replied: "So I will ignore this promotion" she then cut off.

I made a complaint to Maybank by Email.

i also received this number 03-7849 1000 saying that call from Maybank and asking information, i felt something wrong then hang up
