I also received a call from +603-78411800, then from +603-78491300... there was no answer when I called back... very strange

Received call from 0378491000. Said that from MBF cards giving free life insurance .No charges at all. i said ok..and she verified me by asking my IC number. I was so stupid, that I gave her. Any one can tell me what possibility they do with my I/C number? I was worried!!!!

I just got the same call from 78491100 from a malay guy saying he is from hong leong bank and offering me 30k special privilege or something.. couldn't understand him because he was speaking in malay the whole time. What iritated me was he didn't even try to speak to me in english considering I'm chinese and I don't think HL would hire such telemarketing staff.. anyway, the guy tried to ask for my birthdate for verification, and I just told him that I'm not interested in whatever he is offering.  I think this is a scam

0378491300 is from Citibank insurance agent. The name of company is Netcel360 Sdn Bhd

i did answer a called from 03-78491000 on 11 Mar 2010 ago.... i felt very irritating with malay ladies who on the line and i told her im not convenience to talk and i was away from malaysia.... but she insisted to offer me something... i told her call me another day.


these are the conversation:

malay : helo, is there ms mandy

me: yes, u r?

malay: ms mandy... give me 5 mins and i would like to offer u some plan...

me: im not convenience to talk now n can u call me back in other day... now im in overseas

malay: huh... overseas or out station (sound irritating)

me: overseas... i am in shanghai now...

malay: overseas?

me: yes, SHANGHAI.... i dun wan to have any conversation and due telecommunication will charges both side credit....

malay : when can i call u back....

me: next tuesday onward...

she so rude and hang my line.... WTF..... #$#^%&@#@!$#$%$

I also got calls from this number 03 78491300 and when I ask my cousin (who is working with TM), she said this number is registered under company name : Symphony BPO Solution. I wonder why....

I received a call from this 78491000 too offering a savings + insurance scheme attached to my CC. today i tried calling the number but never got thru. I checked out with my credit card provider and the customer service said the promotion offered was a valid one. so..i'll wait for the policy and if it doesn't come, i will have to do something about it.

I received call from 03-78491000 on 27/3 10.18am and from 03-78491300 on 29/3 12.49pm.
Whenever i answer the call, the line will be disconnected.

From what i have been reading online here, i think i will ignore all calls from such numbers from now onwards.

For the past few weeks I have been receiving calls from these numbers.  When I call back, no one picks up the phone.  luckily I thought of keying into the net and check out these numbers.

0378491300, i receive the call, claim she from Hong Leong Bank... Got all my details including i/c number. I just complaint to Hong Leong Bank. If they can't give me satisfactory reply, will forward to Bank Negara.

I think the promotion is RM44/month right... I check out with my insurance agent, he told me not worth to buy. Moreover, i totally not confident to the insurance. How are you going to make claim? Who you want to look for?

My advice better ignore them

Same issue v me, not professional service. My one is from Hong Leong Bank. I just fxXX Hong Leong bank about this. May consider complaint to BNM soon. Let us do it together.

I received the call fr 0378491300 juz now. Was too late to pick it up. When I called the no nobody answer. So I searched online and found this thread. Now I know better.

What Im goin to do is to save the number as "Ignore" or "Scam" and will not answer it anymore.

Yes, these few days i did answer calls from this strange num 03-78491000 and 03-78491300. But everytime i answered the call then it will auto cut off line. I felt curious and angry who so stupid keep call but then hang off the line.

i also got 3 missed calls, 2 from 78491000 n 1 from 78491300.. dunno wat they wan..
also on 03.04,2010.. got a call from chinese speaking lady @ +602031506176.. any idea what company is this ?
