Caller I.D. is a wonderful thing because this number does show up on it.  I just got two attempts to attract my attention in five minutes.  If they call again, I might try the remedy for perverted callers; grab a whistle and give them a loud, prolonged burst down the line!

ok so now I know other people are getting called from this number too (well I could have guessed that much). I still don't know who they are though.

Just got a call from them to, I asked how they got my name and number as the phone is in my husbands name, he told me about Telstra and I asked him again how he got my name and number he again said about Telstra and I stated that I have asked them not to call me. And he hung up we have been getting these calls for months and even put them in the caller Id as scammers so I know who it is . We have had our number unlisted and they still call, I had a though as they are re routing the calls to the number that shows up. Ian hoping that they have not figured out how to charge the people they are calling for the calls, I've had that done to me before. I am hoping that the police can do something about this at least 3 calls per day for 6 months. I've had enough now.

I am so sick to death of this phone number calling me! have stopped answering my phone and thank god for caller ID! Bugger off and get a real job!

Got a call from them tonight,

A lady said that she was calling from Telstra and could reduce my bill to $49.

I told her I wasn't interested and she was really pushy! I had been getting calls from this number all day and just cracked it with her!

I gave her a mouth full and told her f**k off and then I hung up!

She rang straight back and asked why I had abused her??? I told her that I was sick and tired of their calls and don't ever want them to call me back again!! She said that if I had just said that to her then she could make a note and no one would bother me again....as if....but cos I was rude to her she said that she could get people to call me 100 times a day!!

I hope these people rot in hell!

Just googled the number and saw this website. I too was informed that as such a wonderful customer I was getting deals galore, all I had to do was give them my date of birth. Told them not happening and they hung up. Will try your hold the line something's boiling ploy:)

Yesterday I got home and 9001 5836 had rang my phone on the hour over 5 hours.  Today, I am investigating this and I am not going to stop until I find out who and what they are.
This is just got to stop TODAY!
I have registered on Do Not Call twice now, but this number seems to be able to get through.

I received the same type of call today. after ignoring 4 calls from them, I answered and got some spiel about 99c calls, no line rental and it's only for people under the age of 75. I was asked if I could confirm my DOB and when I said you already have that information, he stumbled over his words and started to repeat the offer. I then said I have friends in telstra and will contact them if I wanted anything because I didn't believe a word he was saying .. I left him babbling about how the offer is only for a select few people before I hung up.

I have received 4 calls from this number today alone. Every time I answered it hung up. After 20 minutes on the phone with Telstra - who I must say were completely useless - I put a block for that number on my phone.

I just checked the answering machine, and there was a male voice "hello"? followed by 20 seconds of noisy call centre background noise. checked caller ID and it was 03 9001 5836

Annoying. I don't answer if i don't know the number. they are just trying to see if someones home or not to send the thieves in! LOL

They are an Indian Company stating to be part of Telstra. They use a skype number noting that Skype allows users to purchase numbers with area codes. Basically I could be in the UK and purchase an 03 number and it would look like I was calling from Victoria. The reason you cant call back is because they control the settings through skype.

They have called me 20 times and as soon as you say your fraudulent they hang up.

DO NOT agree to anything not even your name. Simply tell to beat it.

This number has been calling constantly and at all hours. Had 4 calls from them just today. I love my caller ID

T/M: (insert blabber about fake deal)
me: ok LISTEN TO ME!, its like this... i have heard all about your company and what you do... so you have contacted me 3 times already today, this contact will stop, you will not try and contact me again, if contact is made on your companies behalf to this number EVER again, i will contact ACMA and i will contact the police. Contacting a number excessively is an offence and is punishable by fine and/or imprisonment (*TRUE FACT*) do not call this number again
T/M: ok i understand
me: Hang up the phone and do not call this number again

*T/M hangs up*

Also get annoying calls from people of Indian persuasion on very bad quality lines with caller id 0390015836 or undisclosed numbers trying to get me to move my telephony business across to them ....... ?>???

1. WHY would someone call on BAD quality lines to entice someone to migrate to their service. ??

2. Be Australian ... Buy Australian :)

3. When questioned about their company they represent they become evasive and not wanting to disclose the company name or ABN or even the address beyond stating they are from Melbourne.

4. After too many calls from these representatives they do not disclose their personal numbers to me so I can call them repeatedly  :)))

5. AND MORE IMPORTANTLY BY THIS TIME AFTER RECEIVING TOO MANY OF THESE CALLS AND BEING ABUSED BY THESE PEOPLE WHO ARE MORE THAN LIKELY NOT REPRESENTING AN AUSTRALIAN OWNED COMPANY OR NOT EVEN IN AUSTRALIA,
 I HAVE DECIDED TO LEAVE THE LOUDEST WHISTLE I CAN FIND NEXT TO THE PHONE

They called me at least 10 times while i was at work (Have caller ID)

I looked the number up here and when they called again this evening i asked them the reason for their call and i said "you realize you have called me 10+ times today... this had better be important..."

they hung up super quick.

appararantly they are from "Telstra about your current bill..."

the man that called me twice on tuesday on the 25, and again on the 26, was very very vulgar told me he was with telsra he had a heavy accent called me a bit#h, a c#*t. today he just called again and was so rude I don't know who he is with but that is the phone number.

I get calls from this and other numbers several times a day.  As I'm often out the number is left as a message.  If I answer they hang up.  I have contacted Telstra.  They told me that these scammers are based in India and the calls are often computer generated to find out when you are likely to be at home,  that's why often whenyouanswer,they hangup'cos there's no-one on the other end.  When thereis I agree with other victim - answer and then watch tvfor a while rendering their phone useless, that or  blowing a whistle. Nothing we can do abut these crooks as they are apparently based in India.  I have about 6 different numbersdoingtherounds on my phone

I've only had a fixed line phone for a week and the 0390015836 people are calling me already! Thanks to this site for the heads up on what/who they are - thought it was funny when I couldn't call them back!
