Ive received a number of calls from this number and everytime i answere the call was cut/engaged signal. I rang back but got the engaged signal. This evening i received a call from the number again and lo and behold there was someone on the other end telling me that they could help save money on my telephone account. I told the operator my problems as above and asked them never to call my number again. I hung up and immediate;y the phone rang again from the same number, I expressed my anger to the operator and told him that I will be reporting this number.

My mother in law who is 82 years old was convinced or so they say to move from a $20.00 a month account to a Sprial Communications $49.95 a month account a day after see moved into a retirement village. They then started to hassle her to pay them.
Given her age I offered to deal with them, they advised me that unless we paid them they would keep ringing her, I asked them to ring me until we could resolve by them supplying me the voice recording of her agreeing, they said that could take up to a month, but their accounts would keep ringing her in this time. I paid them $49.95 rather than the $100 odd they were asking for on the agreement they moved her back to Telstra and no more bills, she now has another bill.
I personally would never buy a service off this company, but I will leave your choice to you

Just report these scammers to the ACCC...... they pass themself off as being part of Telstra. I asked them for a contact number as I wanted to consider their offer and can I put all my offices on the plan (dont have any just dangeling the carrot) the number they gave me to call back on was a free call number to a pub in melbourne. Keep away from these low life scammers. They get enough personal information and move you from Telstra to them for billing purposes. If anyone can get a legit address on these clowns.... please post.

Very annoying, these guys call our business DAILY!!!

    Best retaliation???

    Try this guys :-)

When they ask to speak to the person in charge of accounts, we politely say "sure, I'll put you through"

We put the phone down for a minute or two - continue typing / working / etc.... then pick it up again with a different accent (or pass it to a friend giggling in the next cubicle).

They repeat their question "are you in charge of accounts blah blah blah" and we say "oh no, sorry, you've been put through to the wrong department - let me put you through to Vlad in Accounts".....

Then SAME THING AGAIN -- hahah, we put the phone down, get back to our work for a couple minutes -- pick it up again with another phony accent and then round and round we go.

The most we got away with this was about 5 "re-directs" before the Scam-Artist Telemarketer got REALLY frustrated and was getting more rude by the minute ... they eventually hung up on us!

    Hahaha

Great for a laugh when you've basically got no other way of retaliating.

Because we are businesses - in Australia a business technically CANNOT be listed on the Do Not Call Register. So we are helpless victims to all these countless calls.

We average about 2 a day according to our records. And that's a heck of a lot. Considering some days we get no calls and others we can get up to 4 calls in one day about 30 minutes apart (usually a Friday afternoon, very late, or every day around midday).

This particular number 03 90015836 has been calling us consistently EVERY SINGLE DAY on average twice a day, for the past month and we have been letting it go to Voicemail.

Very annoying when we're trying to take customer calls.

It's a telecom call centre! They rang me yesterday telling me that my phone bill price was being reduced (and they seemed to know my name my address and how much my phone bill is) then they just asked if they could send out the information Bout the price reduction, I thought if was a bottle bit odd when she started mentioning cooling off periods, that's when I asked if they were with Telstra, she said no. Then I was like well wait, hold on don't send anything out or sign me up for anything because im on a 2 year contract and would have to pay a hefty fine!! How can they have all my details but not even know this basic stuff.

I used to work at a charity call centre, being on the 'do not call register' can help, but essentially, these businesses buy lists of numbers / addresses from data providers like Telstra / dodo and any other company you're registered with.

I ALWAYS get that! At call centers apparent they like 'test' the number before they call and actually speak to you

just received my 1326th call from them. Today it was Peter from Zoom??? A Telstra Wholesaler or something. I tend to ask for their name, their company name, their business phone number, then once I have managed to get some or all of their information I ask them to hold while I get the business owner for them. I then just keep the line open and walk away for a while.

I used to ask them never to call again, and to remove me from their calling lists, though it never worked, so I figure the longer I can keep them tied up for no gain the better.
