- Freebird1972 replies to Courtjester76Exactly the same spiel, right down to the last full stop I got yesterday from a "Teresa Sutton" regarding a DAEWO (sic) Americal (sic again) fridge freezer for sale on Gumtree Birmingham. Partner did some fishing and found that this Teresa Sutton is just one of the names used by this scammer. He sent a reply to her email address telling her exactly what he thought of her and her scam and lo and behold the postmaster threw it back! Must have been because we did'nt attach the nice pic she wanted to see! Please keep us updated as to any new name changes for this as I am keeping all my friends on FB up to date with this in an affort to try and protect them.

You'll need cash to buy the voucher. Here www.paypoint.co.uk you can find the nearest shop and ask for the ukash voucher. Scan it or take a close-up picture using your mobile phone of the ukash voucher and reply with it to the email from parcelforce. Hope this helps.

- Joanna SrokaThanks for this site, just been asked to pay £230 via PayPoint, thought this was strange so did a few searches and came up with this site. You think that it's an amazing deal (very lucky), but as the old sayng goes.......if it's too good to be true....proves accurate over and over again. May notify the Police (?) not sure yet what to do with it.
- Joanna Sroka replies to Courtjester76Exactly the same wording in both e-mails to me about a sofa. Alarm bells started ringing by message 2, things weren't adding up, but continued with it until got asked to pay money up front, I can be silly sometimes, but not that silly - sorry to whoever parted with their cash.
- dat bumtingHa!
So glad of the many records that exist about this scam, without which I would be £260 out of pocket!!
"Don't know if it's been long since you've emailed, I've been out so couldn't follow up on my text message. Can't promise anything but visiting my mum shortly, wouldn't mind making a drop off :) .
If you'll send me your postcode I can check out on my satnav the distance to yours.
Reasonable price and accurate description, it's worth the money, no bad surprises. I won't go any lower.
Can be reached on (0)7973 425052 low signal strength area :( but check emails regularly.
Ta,
Teresa.
P.S. Will take cash only."

Reported to action fraud. - Gerardo replies to Mark| 7 repliesThis is all very interesting!! I’ve also been fleeced and they have definitely up the ante as I was done for £390.00. Not nice but it’s one step closer to them getting themselves caught. Like with everything. The better you get at it, eventually greed sets in and you become a victim of your own success!!! It goes for everything done to excess.
Let’s see if we can harness the power of the internet then!!!
Let me be honest up front though. I’m no criminologist but I do recognise that when an animal has to fight for their life. Things can become nasty (a woman scorned would be chicken feed by comparison). Our collective thinking will close the net on them and they have our addresses and emails. Which is brilliant, because it’s an ideal way for them to ruin their anonymity. Also, don’t count on the police and authorities. The police deal mainly with ‘tangible and small crime’ that they can really show off and blow their trumpet about. The bigger crimes are dealt by the FSA and the like. And look how well they are doing!!! That leaves the mid-range crime. Which is where we are. That is why the UK is a favourite destination for the ‘baddies’ from Eastern Europe and Africa not discounting our own home grown ‘talent’. Besides, we have one of the best money laundering operations in the world with Cayman Islands, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, et cetera, et cetera. But anyway …..
Back to business. We need to put a picture together here. We already have a common denominator on the style of email address, modus operandi, they are stealing ads from genuine posting like eBay, The name and Google+ profile points to the same pictures and are in pairs. If you go to the ad and on the browser look for ‘view source’ (in google chrome, little spanner -> Tools -> View Source). Somewhere in there it says the ad was placed by someone in Plymouth although threads also point to London, Bournemouth, Birmingham and Manchester. My gut instinct tell me that this person is a better than average computer bloke. The ads are selling random stuff but not what women would pick. Also clever enough to keep the money low as he knows they are small fries to the police. - Gerardo replies to GerardoI forgot to add. I reckon the woman in the pictures knows our fraudster. Too many of the Google profiles point to her. It wouldn't surprise me if our fraudster is in one of the pictures!!!

- Lyndsay BakerI too have been scammed out of £150 from the delightful Sarah Harlow. I thought that I was buying a wooden playhouse for my son for his 2nd birthday. Totally gutted when I realised I had been done. Usually so careful but just thought that she was a very kind lady offering free delivery. It is true from previous post that my understanding of Paypoint was limited and this is the way that they caught me out.Wish I had known about this website before but in hind sight this horrible scam has taught me a great deal!
- garry replies to garryheres another link same person, different name.

Then.....
Unfortunately I've just got called into the office (i get sent countrywide with less than 24hrs notice) so very busy till next week. Back at work we have some shipments for large items with parcelforce all week long. Just thought it would save you time and hassle if I'll send it along with them free of charge :) company benefits :) .
I asked around and it seems you can pay cash upon delivery/inspection. It's quite simple since they're able to wait for you to check it out, if not as described they can just void the shipment with no extra charge.
If that's alright with you I'll need a name, address, contact number and also date&time suitable for the delivery.
Working long hours so If you want to pop in and pick it up you'll have to wait till next week or so when hopefully I'll get my head around :)
Let me know either way.
Teresa.
