- Luke E replies to DcwTell me about it pal, was too good to be true, I should have done a check on it in the first place. My fault really as I should of been aware but the emails that got sent seemed so legit! Let me know if you get anywhere, think there are quite a few people on this thread who want whoever they are found. Feel for the people who got scammed with like hundreds of pounds worth!
- stephliverpool replies to Courtjester76Hi guys, I have recently been interested in an oven from an advertisement on gumtree and have had literally the exact same emails as Courtjester76
My emails are word for word the same yet the fraudster goes by the name of MEL
So glad I stumbled across this site after googling ukash and parcel force due to my concerns! Luckily I didn't pay anything and am greatful for your guys help.
I have reported this to gumtree and hope it is stopped immediately!! - stephliverpool
- Greg replies to PeterI got scammed too, but got my money refunded by UKASH. I did this Immediately after the Parcel Force no show...Here's what to do:
1.File a report with Action Fraud. It takes a while so be it - you need the CRN number from them to file a refund claim with UKASH.
2. Download a UKASH refund form, complete it, with various id/bank details/your UKASH voucher, and state why you think you should get a refund. I stated that I thought their voucher redemption system was so weak (i.e the scammer just needs a number and nothing else) that they are partly responsible for allowing the scam to run for so long -they could shut it down at a moments notice by beefing up the redemption process with extra id to be presented by the person trying cash the voucher. Simple. I got a refund bar their 10% charge. I'm not sure if the voucher hadn't been cashed or if UKASH were being generous or hoping to avoid bad publicity, anyway this was all completed within two weeks of being duped.
Parcel force are no help, and don't even offer investigation - which is tantamount to collusion as their brand and reputation is being used as a major selling point in this scam. I hope they are doing something about it.
3. Act immediately. If you delay then the it's likely that the voucher will have been cashed, and your money gone.
Good luck and anyone else reading this take note and report to shut this lowlife down. - Chris Lewis| 1 reply"Deborah Regan" sent me this exact set of emails and stupidly I actually purchased the UKASH coucher for £100, I then got worried and found this page. Managed to cancel my Voucher just in time and Im now trying to get a full refund.
These emails are still in use. It goes through gmail so I was unable to track the IP address.
My email is chris4england@hotmail.com if I can help further.- Caller: Deborah Regan

Its simple guys, do not ever use UKASH for Gumtree products, pick up and cash on pick up or delivery.

Of course, nothing goes according to plan :( Unfortunately I've just got called into the office so very busy till next week, hectic lifestyle. However, back at work we have some shipments for large items with parcelforce all week long. Just thought it would save you time and hassle if I'll send it along with them free of charge hihi company benefits :) .
I asked around and it seems you can pay cash upon delivery/inspection. It's quite simple since they're able to wait for you to check it out, if not as described they can just void the shipment with no extra charge.
If that's alright with you I'll need a name, address, contact number and also date&time suitable for the delivery.
Second option - if you want to pop in and collect you'll have to wait till next week or so when hopefully I'll get my head around.
Let me know either way. No need to worry If my reply is delayed since I'm just having fun working long hours ... or not :))

I was none the wiser, but thanks to my local post office owner who raised my suspicion regarding Parcel Force and they don't accept UKASH Vouchers.
I have just scanned and emailed back to ParcelForce( ??) the copies of each voucher, but not revealing the Pin on each. I have since did a search and found this.....so thanks guys for all the help. - Kerry lampardOmg I am so glad I've just seen this link I was just about to part with £140 for an arch corner sofa which a woman called Lisa Morgan is selling. All the messages are exactly tha same as the ones I have received.
I am so angry with this person whoever they are, myself and my family have had an awful year with the loss of our 6 year old daughter in June 2012 and My partner being made redundant this month. This was to good to be true but I really was hoping maybe our luck was changing. I hope they get caught and soon.- Caller: Lisa Morgan gum tree seller
