- alouise| 4 repliesi have been scammed by all of this i have spoke to police they came to my house and said theres nothing they can do about it its abit stupid. lots of people have fell for this and probably many more will something needs to be done.
- Chief Inspector Jap replies to danielleCall ukash immediately on 00800 247 85274 and get ukash to void your codes and then they will not be able to cash them.
I believe there is something to be done no matter what the police say. There are too many people getting scammed. If we share info, all report to Gumtree, action fraud, police, watchdog, ukash, report the google plus profile as fake, report the gmail accounts the press, keep the threads updated, do some cyber sleuthing then at least we can do our bit to stop others getting scammed and maybe affect the way ukash is so open. I'm still not convinced that Gumtree are not at least to be publicly shamed and at most guilty of negligence and a duty to make aware. Gumtree have removed warnings regarding this seller but left the bogus adds up after they have been reported. How hard is it to block the email accounts and to be suspect when another female75surname@gmail.com posts an add which is on the completed listings of eBay having sold for twice the price? - Deborah replies to Private InvestigationThank you for Ur reply, but i wasn't that stupid t hand cash over for something iv not seen in front ov me or tried out, just glad i searched for her first and found this site. she has started to call my home phone aswel now but how would she av got my home number??? iv never given that to anybody?
- Deborah replies to Private Investigation| 1 replysender IP is 209.85.212.170 this is the ip number she is using? dont no if this would help catch her?
- Rebecca BailyGlad I googled the email sarah75harlow and found this ....! She is advertising an Aluminium tower for a very good price.
http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/huge-youngm ... ery-item-full-1
Did think it a bit odd that after a month of being advertised on gumtree it was still available and she was very slow to respond to enquiries- Caller: Sarah75Harlow
- Silent JayShe is also advertising a La Pavoni PROFESSIONAL Lever Coffee Machine + Pavoni Grinder/Dispenser + Base in oxford. Exactly the same emails her numbers changed though 07747192044, notified the police fraud on line site they told me to go to my local station. they told me they wouldn't do anything.
heres her emails see if they sound familier
Unfortunately I've just got called into the office (i get sent countrywide with less than 24hrs notice) so very busy till next week. Back at work we have some shipments for large items with parcelforce all week long. Just thought it would save you time and hassle if I'll send it along with them free of charge :) company benefits :) .
I asked around and it seems you can pay cash upon delivery/inspection. It's quite simple since they're able to wait for you to check it out, if not as described they can just void the shipment with no extra charge.
If that's alright with you I'll need a name, address, contact number and also date&time suitable for the delivery.
Working long hours so If you want to pop in and pick it up you'll have to wait till next week or so when hopefully I'll get my head around :)
Let me know either way.
Sarah.

Hi Sarah,
i have text you to say that my postcode is . Probably not what you where expecting. i have however got family in welling, petswood and a friend in Aldworth. if your MUms any where near there. Thats the reason i asked if you wanted a deposit to show i was serious. i will drive and pick up but obviously if there is a way which means i dont have to do a 300 mile round trip it would be better for me.
I am waiting to talk to my mate to see if he is willing to run down to Didcot (assumming that gumtree is showing the right area) for me with the cash, but typically hes out at the moment.
thanks
Jason

Hi Jason,
Don't know if it's been long since you've emailed, I've been out so couldn't follow up on my text message. Can't promise anything but visiting my mum shortly, wouldn't mind making a drop off :) . If you'll send me your postcode I can check out on my satnav the distance to yours.
Reasonable price and accurate description, it's worth the money, no bad surprises. I won't go any lower.
Can be reached on 07747192044 low signal strength area :( but check emails regularly.
Ta,
Sarah.
P.S. Will take cash only.

- D. Hewlett| 1 replyWe have been scammed today by this email on Gumtree selling a concept2 rower. Identical emails from above from Sarah Harper etc. We paid cash at a PayPoint last night. Sent a photo of the receipt/voucher to ParcelForce from a link from Sarah Harpers email. Had no clue anything was wrong as we have never used Paypoint. Obviously warning bells rang this morning when the Rower wasn't delivered by ParcelForce. How stupid of us. I sincerely hope nobody else falls for this.
Police have been informed and have been given details and waiting be called back. :( - yellmand| 2 repliesproblems with sarah75harlow@gmail.com, checkout ads for XP deus for £380 on gumtree

- D. Hewlett replies to yellmandThis so called Sarah, for want of a better word, still has her advert on gumtree which was placed 24 days ago. I have alerted this to Gumtree. So annoyed with myself as much as whoever is behind this con and really frustrated than more can't be done.

- JohnnyI emailed an ad on Gumtree today about a van for sale. I got a text asking me to email her to get more information... thought that was a bit strange... anyway, I emailed her asking if I can come and see the van. She hasnt replied, so I just googled her email and found this thread. Glad I did. sounds like she's a scammer!!!
sarah75harlow@gmail.com = AVOID - Brad replies to D. Hewlett| 2 replieswould love to help and nail this B*****d
- s replies to Brad| 1 replyme too - feel so stupid!
I hold co-op responsible too, I told the staff exactly what i was doing and no one warned me or pointed out warning on receipt which is tiny! They should train the staff better!
how can this person cash these anonymously?!?!? You can't get a email with out loads of info how do you become able to cash peoples codes???? - JCWe also got scammed when today a sofa didn't arrive at the due time. The same emails as above were sent to us as replies. Will never do paypoint transactions again and stick to cash on collection? The ad is still on gumtree so beware Sarah75harlow!
- tubbsSarah Harlow is also on Gumtree selling an Aquarium for £220.00 I even bought the vouchers sent pictures of vouchers obscuring the codes, received e-mail from parcel force requesting codes alarm bells were ringing and i ended up here still have my codes intact and i sent sarah an e-mail telling her i shall come and pick it up wonder what the reply will be. I have informed Dorset Police and Action Fraud the Address given on Gumtree was for Bournemouth. All received e-mails were the same as others printed above she is busy with that satnav and her mother

- Captain HastingsHi guys, read back through the 3 pages of comments on this thread and it is clear that only we are doing anything effective about this. This thread has probably stopped a dozen or more people getting scammed. Gumtree are doing nothing, the police have not stopped it yet, ukash don't take responsibly. I know that some coop managers do not know enough about ukash and I know of another situation where it was explained to the manager and checkout worker what they were going to do and there was no warning.
I have had several extensive exchanges with ukash's customer experience executive who, in my opinion is unwilling to recognise any flaw in ukash or see that ukash has not made sufficient steps to stop this scam.
My main points have been:
Sellers of ukash are uninformed and unable to give necessary info
Warnings on tickets are not specific (why not print the scam?)
Warnings should be on front page of ukash and Gumtree sites
Ukash should differentiate between the 'voucher' and the 'voucher code'. People have thought that a photo was harmless as you need 'the voucher' to pay
The analogy warning 'treat as cash' doesn't work since serial codes cannot be taken from a photo of cash
They should be able to void or contest payment when they realise it's a stolen code
Ukash should take identities in some way to ensure they can be caught
If you find these points apply to you, copy them into an email, with you own points and demand a refund (if you wish). Write to feedback@ukash.com. After their Final Response you can ask for a complaints form (to the ombudsman) and they should send it to you by post. Again, action fraud, police, Gumtree, gmail, google plus, watchdog and any local/national press you feel like contacting can only help matters. With enough people working together we can at least stop others being scammed, even better get this person banned from Gumtree, get some money back, change ukash system or at best bring the scammer to justice. Let's do everything we can. - Chief Inspector Jap replies to sI know this has happened before to at least one other person who has explained what they were going to do, even joked they hoped it wasn't a scam and the manager did not click. A phone call to coop urging them to put out a warning should help things. Imagine a simple 'yore not paying di something on Gumtree are you ' from the checkout operator. How many thousands saved and people helped would that be. Coop: customer.relations@co-operative.coop. Worth an email.
- Pingu replies to Ted| 2 repliesWow, that's weird. I had the same response from a Sarah Harlow about a bed I wanted to buy off Gumtree. She then sent another email offer to send it free of charge via parcel force, but I had to pay with ukase vouchers 24 hours before delivery. Thought it was a bit dodgy and said I would only pay cash on delivery. The email address used is sarah75harlow@gmail.com but the number she gave me was 07747 192044 (and apparently there was a low signal strength.
I have filed a report with Gumtree.
