keep getting none answered calls from these people who ever you are its the weekend leave me alone

Had 2 missed calls from this mobile number....having now read posts on hear, realise just another low-life way of getting you to answer/ring back because it looks like a personal mobile number

How many times do you have to tell these muppets that you're not interested before they stop calling you?  My mums had them calling on the landline hassling her for the last few weeks, they've been calling my mobile, not speaking when I answer and I've told them 3 times I'm not interested.  

What a gang of cowboys... The telephonists sound to me either as if they're on drugs or have the mental intelligence of a 3 year old.  Take the hint and remove peoples details when requested - idiots!

It's a company called Wilson Tarquin, There landline number is 01613128082, Rang me last week about a PPI cliam, told them to get lost and don't ring again otherwise they will get reported to offcom for cold calling, so far so good.

If this number calls you do not expect to speak to a person or be abe to call the number back.  Both are not possible and after 7 incoming calls within 18 hours I find the whole thing invasive and unnacceptable.  I rang back after I thought I'd missed the first call and got an 02 message saying the mailbox was full and no message could be left, but when my phone rings again there is no-one on the other end.  Other comments on on-line postings have lead to Wilson Tarquin in Manchester - a company who offer loans (like pay day loans) but who have no registered company telephone number so you can't contact them to demand they remove your number from their systems!  I will be writing to them and demanding redress and in the meatime I recommend you register for free with the TPS to try to block theses calls.  Unfortunatley the TPS cannot stop computer based calls, but might just stop the other marketing calls. Companies like this must be answerable to someone somewhere surely!!

Had call number 6 today and finally had a human on the other end.  I complained about the harrasing phone calls and how seriously hacked off I was.  The caller was blissfully unaware (yeh, right!) of the problems so I suggested he puts the number into Google and has a look for himself at the number of annoyed people they have created.

Comments were that they use computer generated calls and sometimes the computer goes nuts and calls and calls and calls........

It is Wilson Tarquin of 76 Oxford Street. Manchester.  Number is as said above 0161 3128082 but you get a voicemail directing you to an 0845 number to leave details to be removed from their mailing lists.
Will be interesting to see if that's the end of it!

If they are not, as in the case of these guys, please report them to OFCOM.

Fines can be substantial and that might stop them

We have an automated computer system that has specific guidelines. This means that if you request to have your number taken off our system then it removes and blocks any further attempts of contact.

We have more than one company in the same office, all deal with different form of financial help like Debt Management and PPI.

Our system records how many times a number is called and all calls are recorded for monitoring purposes so if any has any problems or feels that it is us that is repeatedly calling you then please call - 0844 811 4370 and ask to speak to the company manager who can assist you with any queries.

This forum does contain a lot of negative comments yet we deal with over 30,000 clients who are very happy with our services and have recommended many other people to our company.

How many times do I need to politely ask you to stop calling me. I am receiving 5 or 6 calls from this company a day for weeks. I am polite and appreciate that people have a job to do but I also have a life and I am totally fed up with requesting that you stop calling me. I have explained time and time again that I do not wish to make a claim and each time it is clearly ignored. How exactly I am I supposed to stop you calling when previous reasonable requests are blatently ignored!!

sick of these people calling my mobile, PPI claims, Accident Claims.  no way of stopping them calling you and hanging up.

next time they do speak to you, lead them on a merry dance, say yes to all there questions be very enthusiastic, i had a car accident and the 4 passengers were hurt and required medical advise, there names were mickey, goofy, donald and pluto.  how much can we claim?????

I have every sympathy with staff who are doing probably one of the worst jobs ever, but when one staff member assures you it's being sorted and you finally think that's an end to it you get another call an hour later from someone else!!  Again I explained my annoyance at the shere number of calls (I had them listed by time recieved as there were so many) and was told there are other companies working the same system and one doesn't speak to the other.  This second caller offered to put me through to a supervisor / manager but that person was on a call so I was told I'd get a call back.  Funnily enough, no call back!   However, my phone has finally gone quiet....................!!

this number has called my home phone a few times would like to find who it is as when you ring back it is a 02 voice mail box and it is full

this is a pain in the ass their mail box is full so you cant leave a message, called land line also

Well I am glad that they are training you well on overcoming customers' objections and ensuring that you always represent your company in a positive light!

I'm sure the people on this forum are more than capable of telling the aforementioned body parts from one another, but when a company such as this repeadedly calls and hangs up then it's no wonder people think it is some sort of scam! These type of calls cause inconvenience and concern to a lot of people - companies who employ this practice obviously have no interest in customer service or business ethics.

Maybe, instead of jumping on the defensive & potentially offending your customers even further, you should be pointing this out to one of your superiors as constructive feedback on your poor business practices!!

OMG I am so happy to find this forum guys, i started to get calls on my mobile like 2 weeks ago, when i answer no one talks, i call back voicemail and inbox full. Reported it to the police, they cant do anything ;-( I find their calls very disturbing, any idea if i can block a number on iphone ?

This number is also used by Samuel Brooks Limited, who are very persistent in contacting people involved in motor accidents.  Their method of operation is consistent with organisations which encourage people to make fraudulent claims for non-existent personal injuries.
Both Samual Brooks Limited and Wilson Tarquin Limited are registered at St James Bulidings, 79 Oxford Street, Manchester, M16FQ. Mr Mohammed Yusuf Buksh is a director of both companies (in addition to Knightsbridge Financial Consultants Limited and Walter Goldman Limited, both also registered at the same address).  

Both Samuel Brooks Limited and Wilson Tarquin Limited hold personal data but neither complies with Data Protection legislation (eg have not registered with the  Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)). This failure to notify is a criminal offence.

Samuel Brooks repeatedly call phone numbers registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and disregard requests not to be called again.  Both are breaches of the Privacy and Electronic (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.

Both the above breaches are sympomatic of companies which engage in fraudulent activity.

My advice to anyone who at these companies is:
1) get to know the basics of issues like Data Protection legislation (www.ico.gov.uk is a good place to look) so you know if you and your employer are committing criminal offences
2) decide if you want to be around when the organisation gets closed down / criminal prosecutions happen
3) see sense and whistleblow!
