This is 100% not a scam.

It's the number orange uses to alert you to an unread voicemail message that is approaching 3 weeks in age and therefore will be deleted automatically to clear space.

It is offering you the chance to listen to the message before it is deleted

Got a threatening message saying - I know who you are, got your cards marked pet

i just got a text from this number tellin me i had a voicemail from 26/6/09 at 15.33 and that it would be deleted.
I was afraid to call this number and thought i would check in my mail box first, i had a voicemail msg in there from 26/6/09 15.33.
i guess this text is maybe just a reminder that u still have a msg in your mailbox and that it will be deleted soon
i just called 123 as it told me to and it directs you straight to your voicemail

I have double checked this as I just got a similar text message with phone#, voice message date/time details.
It turns out to be a reminder service from Orange as some of them have noted here already.
Just wanted to add that, the 'safest' way to deal with this is simply access your voice message menu (by pressing and holding '1' ) and check the messages. I did have 2 un-heard messages including the 1 which was mentioned in the text message. Also, most likely there will be a voice message indicator icon shown on the main screen of the mobile, if there are any un-heard messages.

NB: Dont confuse the 'unheard' voice messages with 'unread' text messages!

This number is the number orange customers can dial from a landline phone to check their voicemail messages. After you dial it it asks you to enter your mobile number and then your pin, if you haven't set a pin you can't check your voicemails.
Try dialing it from a landline.

got a horrible answerphone message , left by this number, saying he,s know where i live and various foul mouth statements , sounded like someone from Nigeria Horrible man

Are you all really that stupid?!  It's not a scam you idiots, it's the Orange answerphone.  

If you call it from a landline, you will need your number & a pin (only have one if you're an orange customer)
If you call from an orange mobile... it will go straight to your answerphone.

Guys its just the Orange answerphone, its alerting you that you have unread answerphone messages which will be deleted due to the amount of time they've been on your phone.This is not a scam it directs you to the same place as when you dial 1 from your orange mobile.

It is from Orange after all. That is the Orange answerphone number, although why it isn't heade up as a 'message from Orange' is a mystery?

i got the text message
"an answer phone message from <07 number i dont recognise> was left for you at 16:14 on 12/01. please call 123 to listen to it before it is automatically deleated."
from the number +447973100123 / 07973100123
i did as it said and called "123" - it goes through to my normal answer machine.
Its all genuine, i think its because orange dont have to the space to keep 'unread' voicemail for more than a few weeks.

Just had same message as someone else posted previous from 07973100123 and sounded like someone was hoovering up or using electric tools cutting or sanding something with mumbled chat and laughter in background.

After 4 mins cancelled the damn message.

Great way to get us to use our credit!!!! Kinda fishy if you ask me ^^

This number called me just. It is just Orange Answerphone telling you you have a voice-mail. Nothing wrong with it at all.

If this was my orange voicemail why wouldnt it just appear as a normal voicemail icon ?

Sounds like a scam to me, everyone reports hereing clikcing noises, sounds like a revenue scam to get you on a paid for number
