- ronniewhat did companies or individuals do before phone contact became so ubiquitous? what bemuses me is , 1) are these calers "alive" or merely computers? If 2) they are homo-sapiens do they actually get PAID??? No one seems to answer them, if they do, the caller receives abuse or stony silence...DO THEY GET PAID MONEY??????If so, what for????
- PaulThey keep calling my phone and leave no voicemail they are a joke and i dont what to use them in future they are little orange gits.
- Caller: Orange

- AnnaJust had a call from these jokers, didn't answer it but when I called back I just got the same automated answer machine that everyone else has mentioned.
- Caller: Orange "Customer Relations"
- acgot a call from this number and they immediately claimed to be orange and asked for a password, told them where to go and called orange they say it is not them and not to give them any info. it is someone trying to get your details do not give them any information!!!
- Caller: ?????
- GinolaDon't know who this is, but I shall cut them off as soon as my Phone rings, get loads of these calls at home as well.
- Caller: Orange
- StevePlease please please vote with your feet as regards Orange. They constantly overbill you month on month and customer services is a complete joke. I have personally spoken to staff at ALL levels. Nothing ever gets done. Now with tesco payg. Amazing! They actually charge you the fee you agreed!
- Caller: Orange
- MatthewI got a call from this number asking if it was Michael they were talking to! I said no and they apologised and put the phone down!
- Caller: Orange
- SimonHad this number call me loads over the last few weeks, about to enter the last month of my 18 month phone contract with Orange. Sometimes they hang up before I answer it, other times I've been unable to answer as at work. Never leave a message. Finally managed to answer it last night, a guy asked for my postcode and D.O.B. - said he worked for Orange and as a valued customer wanted to see what they could do for me, blahblahblah... He correctly identified I had a HTC Desire phone, I said I liked it and he asked if I would be interested in having another HTC. Now I'd prepared for this and had an example deal I'd found online, so I said yeah the HTC Sensation is the phone I'm interested in... Hello? He hung up as soon as I said that and they didn't ring back. Darn them! Think I'll just leave Orange anyway.
- Caller: Orange
- JasonJust a suggestion appols if someone has already suggested ;
I have added the number to my contacts as "scam do not answer" also if you have a phone that supports adding a specific ring tone and if you have the know how create a ring tone with no noise
hey presto you don't answer and it doesn't ring makes the repeat calls easier to deal with in my opinion- Caller: 07973 100194
- tiggyI am receiving persistent calls from this number - at least 4 per day. I answered once and merely listened. Caller said 'Hello, Hello, can you hear me?' Why not leave a message if anything significant?
If this continues I shall cancel my contract with Orange. - craigThey rang me once today, I didn't answer it as don't answer unknown numbers!
I'm on orange payg, after reading other comments here it does sound like a scam,
But I wonder why orange don't do anything about it, coz this is effecting their business
Loadsa you I see already moving to other providers
Wake up orange, wake up!!- Caller: orange
- ShazzzzaIt's Orange customer services. Was expecting a call back from them and got one.
- Caller: ORANGE
- JenEarlier today I reported repeated calls from a number claiming to be Orange (within days of having the phone and not even giving my number out) and just this afternoon have had two missed calls from this one. I don't know what Orange are playing at - I've never had so much spam with other phone companies and am not impressed. Just signed up to the telephone preference service but not sure how much of a difference this will make as Orange may claim that they have a 'right' to contact a customer? I'm not answering any numbers I don't recognise so hoping theyll give up...

- AdrianThis number called me to discuss the end of my Orange contract. Girl with a Geordie accent (Orange have a call center in Newcastle) went through some deals with me and I negotiated a good deal which also involved writing off the last 2 months of my current contract. Asked the girl to call me back yesterday afternoon and I would confirm I wanted this contract then, and unfortunately they didn't call me back.
If this is a dialer generating calls then I can understand she doesn't have any control over when I do get called, but unlike most of the other posters here I really want them to call me again!
If the people on here are genuinely getting harassed by numerous calls "every 5 minutes" then simply report it to Ofcom and write a letter to Orange advising you are doing this due to the number of calls from this number and I am sure they will compensate you somehow with a discounted contract. To leave a company due to this and expect their competitors not to be acting in the same manner is naivity in my opinion.- Caller: Orange Customer Services Department

- riotgibbonjust had a call from them offering to discuss my Orange upgrade options, 2 weeks after I sorted out an upgrade --- I'm guessing it's not Orange directly, but another company who has had access to the list of customers eligible for an upgrade and working their way though - but not getting the list updated
- Caller: Orange related
- Call type: Telemarketer
- 1shortscotSounds like an automatic dialler is in use. Computer dials a batch of numbers know only a % will be answered. Customer picks up their phone and computer indicates that particular phone number is live. Caller's pick up the next answered number as soon as the previous call is ended. Problem is there may not be a caller free to pick up so to you and I it sounds like silence on the other end. Crappy rather than sinister. Previous advice to assign a name to the number i.e. 'Cold Callers' so you know not to pick up or pick up but don't answer and let the caller work it out.
- Caller: Mobile Phone
- Call type: Telemarketer
- SJ10orange i bet, wanting to know why i have not upgraded my phone with them as i only have 2 weeks left with that rubbish company and im outta there!
- Caller: annoying orange !!!
- CobrettiMy contract is running out at the end of November and I kept getting a call from this number, like 3 times a week, everytime I am busy. Once I asked them to call back at specific time, to arrange an upgrade. They never called that week. Week later the calls persist.
I contacted Orange regarding this matter and got told that it is not Orange. However, it is hard to believe it is not Orange as they know the correct date when my contract is running out. Also the Orange representative told me that they do not do HTC Sensation XE, even though my friend got it from them a day before I called them.
In my opinion it is Orange customer relations, being a pain in the A-S. Never seen a company that lied as much as Orange.- Caller: Orange
