i had saved the number too from when they called me back to resolve an issue to do with my phone. after that i saved their number and for the past week ive been getting phone calls off them. ive answered but no-one has spoken. its more scared then annoyed:/

vodafone do the same, make sure you state that you don't want to receive marketing calls when you sign up, then call customer services to check they have an option to disable it on their end

if you have got 14258 on your phone via talktalk then just bar them and report them to tps

They rang me at 23.55 last night! Why ring at that time! i was asleep!

I just answered. they gave me an early upgrade to the new iphone 4 with a couple of extras

Getting unknown calls from orange on auto dail,and p*** me off as they dont leave a message

Got a call from this number. I answered and there was just silence. They left no message. If it is from Orange, like everyone else is saying, then maybe some call centre is trying to make their monthly call quota!!!

This is Def Orange, I havent used my phone in ages, just got it reavtivated and got cut off when speaking to orange and straight after the cut of this number rang and left a silent message. It is obviously them trying to call me back to continue as no one else has my number!

Orange.  What a bunch of [***].  Autodiallers used to dial their own paying customers?  Absolute scum. I've moved to O2 as a result - far better service.

It is Orange, but the likelihood is that they sell their customer data to a call centre who then use autodiallers to call people. Therefore they are not actually calling from Orange but on behalf of Orange. It's all completely legal and banks etc do the exact same thing. It's annoying when they don't leave a message etc but that's due to the types of diallers they use.

It's hardly the most annoying thing in the world though!

Didnt answer and put phone down.

just called me and said they were from orange and wanted my password. when i asked what it was in regards to he would not tell me and said he needed the password for my account. told him i would not be giving him that as i was not expecting any calls from orange and plus they should never ask for the full password.. most places ask for bits of password. after arguing the fact i was not giving him my full password he said okay goodbye

This number has been plaguing me for about three weeks now. I eventually answered it one day last week and it was allegedly Orange trying to sell/offer me a free upgrade.

Trust me if you go ahead with these people you get no support from the Official Orange people or support services.
They even say if you don't like the new phone you have requested, I can replace it by writing to Upgrade returns. This is at 20/20 mobile (Now Orange) but when I contacted them the quoted saying they only deal with Pay as You Go!!!!

Best not answering this number if you can help it.

They are calling me and leaving messages to upgrade my phone! I'm sick of it, I do not want to stay with orange! O2/vodafone/T-Mobile here i come!!!!!

The way I deal with this number and others like it is to have a profile for friends, family and VIPs that rings, and every other number is completely silent/vibrationless. That way I don't even know they've called until I check my phone.

When someone you don't know approaches you in the street do you fall both into step and into conversation with them?....NOOO, (unless they ask for directions).  therefore , you have zero, absolutely NO obligation to answer phone or door to a person or persons you do not know...or even those you do know if you dont feel like it!
