Iam on 02 payasyougo but ive recently started getting calls from this number usually late in the evening...never picked up before though..just seemed a bit odd, glad i didnt v.v

Just had another call from this number - answered it to be greeted by ...nothing!.. might email Orange and tell them they're wasting my time!

I have had a call from this number today....I recieved one about a month ago but when i questioned some details about my bill they hung up.....however, this number is different!!! I asked the lady on the phone if she could provide some information to prove that it was a call from orange and she did.....she called to offer me a loyalty reward upgrade for being with orange for so long, she did not try to sell me anything, reduced my monthly bill, sent me a new phone and included the insurance free with the monthly bill. She also left a statement on my profile and requested that i call the 150 number to double check her legitimacy. I rang orange and they confirmed i was speaking to a mobile customer services group, hence the mobile number, and that the company they operate through are css.
Answer the call and just ask for proof of identity, dont except anything that will cost you...if your still concerned after the call, get in touch with orange and request confirmation on your recent upgrade via a mobile number! :)

Got an unsolicited call on my landline from this number.  Picked up phone and answered but no reply from other end and they disconnected after a few seconds.  Usually sign of an autodial/call centre.  After hanging up, looked number up on here and saw it could be from Orange.  Sent an email to Orange Customer Services saying I'd received unsolicited call, I'm not a customer of theirs and that my number is registered with TPS.  Waiting to hear back from them.

Just received a call from this number it is orange nothing dodgy about the call just a very nice polite man wanting to see if I was happy with the service that I was receiving and whether they could do anything to improve it.

just had same call maybe i should answer as orange are the worse ive ever used no signal at home at all its not as though i live in the sticks im on m4 corridor!!!!

Update: got reply from Orange Customer Services who said they were sorry to hear I had received unsolicited calls from "an independent retailer".  So they're saying that this isn't a call from them and that they "share my concerns".  I've read stuff on the Web about "independent retailers" working as agents for mobile operators who unwittingly tie you into new contract so beware.

I get numerous missed calls and a second landline in blackpool, it seems to relate to data loss courtesy of car phone warehouse some months ago.

Just ignore them!

Just recieved a call from this number - i'm in a bad reception area so text saying i couldn't answer calls, who was it - have had no response. I hate it when people don't even leave a curtsey a.phone message. Luckily all you guys have identfied who it is who's calling so thank you!

Keep getting calls from this number,says no need to call back as they would call me back,culprit is Orange customer services,i don't want anymore calls from them for god sake 4time in the spaceof 5 mins from them today 22/03/2010

I just got a call saying it was Orange. I'd answered from another call so didn't notice the number. It's 07973 100194.
He wanted to "take me through security" and asked me to confirm address and postcode, then password and date of birth, which I didn't give. Then he had the wrong info about where my last handset came from, which obviously he should've known. He did say "if you don't weant to do security you can call 178 from your handset". Clever.
I was waiting for a call from Oranger about my address details, so I engaged with him, when normally I'd have asked where he got my number and he'd have hung up sooner. As it went, he hung up when I told him where I got my last handset.
I don't think this call came from Orange. I've written to them and await a reply..

this number has called me 8 times today im pissed off as i work nights

I've received calls daily from this number for the past two weeks asking if I want to upgrade my contract.  I rang Orange direct today and they said they had no records of anybody from Orange calling me and that it is likely to be a 3rd party.  When I have answered a call from this number in the past they say they are 'calling on behalf or Orange' which isn't the same as saying 'I work for Orange'.  I can't see it being Orange ringing customers up and pestering them so often, it's obvious that people would get pi55ed off.

they did exact same thing with me on the 8th and this morning 30th March 2010...I think they do it to ask you questions from India network, but first too answer phone gets the call....pee's me off getting unknown calls like that!

This number called and went through to my voice mail but left no message. I answered the second call from the above number but the caller did not say anything. Left me wondering how it was as I am expecting a phone call from a potential employer.
