- miss annoyedAt about 12 noon today, my husband had a call at work and no message was left. He phoned me and I missed a call on the home phone as I was answering his call. Also there was no message was left. After looking on this site, (which I am very grateful for) I found out who was calling. I agree with all the comments. It is very annoying not getting a message or even a text. Also I agree that they should tell you what the call is referring to before asking for information. I am very wary of giving personal information on the phone and usually ask them for their's or their ID number (which I think they should have).
Many thanks for this site.- Caller: presumably it was HSBC
- simple me replies to SFjust received a missed call from this number tried to call back but engaged. If it is HSBC offering to covert an account me being simple would have thought that having an HSBC account in the first place would be an advantage which I do not have. Number now added to blocked list.
- EllieI've just received a call too. I refused to give the information. I called HSBC to see if the call was genuine and this silly woman wanted my details to be able to answer my questions. Why would you need my details to tell me if the number is genuine! Useless really!
- alvesa replies to Shab SyedI did have a lot of calls from this number almost everyday but I ignored it but today I answered it and she's asking me about my details and I said I can't give you my personal details.

- JayReceived a call and started with the same style of conversation and asked me to confirm my year of birth. I asked them to tell my date and month of DOB first then i can tell the year of birth. The person replied saying 'No problem. Thanks.' and cut the call. When i received the call it took 3 to 5 secs for the person to start the conversation. Is this fake call? If so this is happening from 2009 and wont HSBC aware of this?

- AndyJust rang again. I let the answering machine filter it. No message left. I haven't deregistered from TPS since last such occurrence, but I'm also aware that the number shown may not be the true number. If this is the case, then reporting it would be a waste of time.
