Aye had a missed call from this number yesterday. Got 1 today also but just ignored it. knew it would be something daft

I have had this number ring me today, it started with 02202 ringing me all the time, my brother in law answered and told them i was abroad this has not stopped them from ringing, im now having 02202 and 08000641087 ringing all day long. im considering ringing there complaints for harassement!.

This damn number keeps phoning me! I've tried to answer and the line just goes dead every single time. WTF?!

I just got a call... it rang for about 3 seconds then stopped =/

This is very useful thanks. I've tried to complain to O2 before about marketing calls. For "security" they ask you for two frequently called numbers (supposedly to check that you really are who you say you are). However, once they have these numbers from you, they then barrage THOSE people with marketing calls.

This number called me earlier claiming to be 02, Strange, I've been a valued 02 customer for years yet they had no idea what my first name was. Sounds legit! Haha!!

This number is DEFINITELY LBM (Call Centres) on behalf of O2, I know this as I used to work for them!

BEWARE this is a scam. caller phones trying to get personal details claiming to be from (in my case o2) a mobile phone company dealing with broadband and contracts.

I had recently gone on to 02's website to upgrade my sim next thing im getting hassled by these people. I looked on here and noticed that everyone was saying that it was all due to 02. I have just called 02 and told them what is happening and they have assured me that they are NOT ALLOWED to give out your number and that they are sending me a form out to take my number off these peoples systems.

I had a call from this number trying to convince me that I cannot order my new iPhone on the o2 website and instead I should order through them - on the phone. I'm very suspicious of un-called for calls like this and basically told the guy to bugger off. Tried to convince me he is calling from O2. I told him I will call back and he replied that they don't take incoming calls! Weird, huh?

This number is from LBM, a completely legit direct marketing company. the numbers they dial are provided by the network if it's a "pre to post" campaign (meaning phoning prepay numbers to try to move them to post pay) or they're provided by LBM if it's a cold calling campaign (calling all networks to try to move them to a particular network). If it's a pre to post campaign the agent will have your name, address and sometimes DOB on screen cos they need to check they are speaking to the account holder before they can change anything but if its a cold calling campaign they rarely have any details on screen. Also the reason people get calls with no one on the line is because they're being called from an automatic dialler, it can be the case that you've answered the call but there arent any agents free to take the call so there's no one on the line. LBM work for companies such as O2, talk talk, Orange, o2 Ireland, British gas etc. I work for LBM myself on a pre to post campaign for O2 so I'm able to see peoples details, I can actually log into their accounts and see who they call, how many texts they send, how much web they use etc all so I can make an informed choice before I offer them a new deal that would work out better for them. I got a call from this number yesterday on my land line from a guy working on the O2 broadband campaign because I already have O2 broadband which is out of contract, he basically just signed me up for a new contract with a few months free without taking my payment details - because O2 already has them. Within 15mins of finishing the call I got an email from O2 confirming that I'd taken the new contract. If you get a call from the mobile team they will ask for bank details to set up your direct debit. It's completely legit.

They started to ring me up again after I said no last time,  I never buy anything over the phone and told them if I do I will give them a ring back, phone went dead but that was last week and now getting more phone calls, can they not take a hint

Just had a call from this number.
Said he was from O2 & asked  if I was happy with my  broadband & would I like to continue with it.
Told him I assumed it would be continuing anyway.
He then said he would need to ask some security questions to confirm he was speaking to the right person.
I pointed out that he had phoned me & that I should be the one asking him to prove who he was.
He hung up.
