It's a firm called LBM marketing and they appear to work on behalf of several of the networks -  including O2, Orange & Vodaphone - check out http://www.dynamoo.com/diary/lbm-direct-marketing.htm for a good picture of the way they operate and what you can do to stop them.

Have just phoned their complaints dept and insisted they remove my mobile from their lists - have had 2 separate numbers traceable to their offices ringing several times a day but always cutting out before you answer. Complain also to your own network provider because it'll probably be them that passed your number on the first place.

I believe this is O2 as I recently changed my tariff and don't give my mobile number out to anyone but family/friends.

I have also had numerous calls from this number during office hours and I am not best pleased, coming to this site has given me some insight to what it is all about and I will definitely be calling up my service provider to complain....I have no connection to O2 at all so how did they get my number!!!

Same here, f**kers been doing this for 6 months now. Originally i answered and spoke to a guy and because i'm far too nice i said the deal sounded nice but i'm in the middle of a contract that i'm happy with so he said he'd call back when it ended. Little did i know that he was actually going to go through with it. Been getting harrassed by this number now for the last week constantly.

Some companies use "Number Ranging" I.e if they know that the contract for a particular number runs out in a certain month, then the chances are number around that range will be "live" too, they try say for arguments sake, 500 numbers ahead- i.e. 07776000150- 07776000550, they then have a lost of numbers who they know will be out of contract at around the same time. They will try ranging a 1000 numbers maybe more and work backwards, because they use an automatic dialler they will get reports on which numbers connected. best thing to do is to say "Your wasting your time, it's a corporate account" this puts them off ;)

This number rang me 5 minutes I just let the phone ring and go to answerphone  i thought that they would get the hint that i didn't won't to speak to them but they rang me again so i let it go to answerphone again, so i entered the number in to a search engine and it came up with this site, thanks for letting us know.

Im being hounded by them 3 times a day. Just rung the number now and was given a message saying to call - 08000136671. Rang this and followed the steps, asked for the number im being rung on.

    Hopefully this should end it.

Thanks for the link above Kris. I spoke to a lady and she is going to remove my number from LBM nuisance callers!

If you simply want to opt out without having to pay for the privilege, you can try emailing enquiries@lbm.co.uk , or if you want to complain in person you can ring  0161 616 0776 which is their complaints department.

I am constantly being hounded by O2 to switch to them from lots of different numbers. This was one of the most recent ones. How many times do they need to be told their network is useless where I live?

I've been bugged by this number for about 4 months, since I got a contract with O2. I never answered it though because I get harassed by recruitment agencies. I Googled this one and all the results said it was a nuisance caller.
