I rang the number back (as described in my earlier post) and opted for no callback.

It's been a while now and I have had NO FURTHER CALLS.

To 'Insider Trader', I understand your frustration and am confident in agreeing with you. I asked for no callback and that's exactly what I got.

I started getting calls from this number yesterday and have had two today already. I didn't answer and Googled the number instead, which led me here. Obviously I'm a bit annoyed, as I have no interest in what they might have to say, and considering they're calling me during working hours when I need my phone on me at all times, it's a bit of a nuisance. I registered my phone with TPS yesterday (though I know it takes 28 days to become fully effective), and I've sent an e-mail to enquiries@lbm.co.uk to ask them to take me off their database. No reply so far, and one of the calls today came after I'd e-mailed. I'm on O2 PAYG and have been for nearly a year now. I have no intention of leaving anytime soon. Maybe they want to get me onto a contract, but I'd rather hear directly from O2 themselves than through some knock-off third party who have nothing better to do than bother me at work. Fingers crossed.

Called several times by this number - I don't answer but annoying. I am an O2 customer.
How do I bar the number?

Never any message, just hangs up when I answer. Last three days. VERY annoying...and now my precious time is taken up doing this!...(Thanks for the service though )

Sick of them. average 4 calls a day. I ignore them but it's been two months now. When will they get the message. Isn't there laws against leaving dead air?

Reading this does not bode well.
I work abroad on an over priced O2 contract and started getting these calls today, I will not be a happy boy if I find these '0800 un solicited calls'' billed as well as being a nuisance. Will try all the great advice when I am back in the UK.

This number rings all our phones either landline or mobile. they ring off before you answer

i have reced calls frm this no 08000641087 to day at 4/4/11 @12.39pm &01/04/11 @13.33pm claiming he was frm 02 and ask me if i wld lke to change my payasyougo to pay monthly on 02 he was offering me 100 mins-500 txts 500 unltd internet for £16.50 a month.so i had a word wth my bro in law and he tol me to them no that it was to deras he get the same  for £15 pds a month wth carfonewarehouse.it is tme to put a stop to these cowboys callers wth bbc watchdog.

This is LBM, they deal with sales for o2 and Vodafone as well as others, they may be pushy and annoying but o2 and Vodafone etc employ them as its cheaper to employ 3rd partys than employ directly through themselves. o2, Vodafone etc can not and do not 'sell on' you numbers/details they basically work for these network providers. Contact your network provider and ask them to change your marketing preferences so you dont receive the calls =)

Have had a few calls from this number over the last few weeks, and knowing its an 08000 call is enough to make me not pick up......

Number called me 3 times today, 08000641087 claiming to be o2 and wanting details from me, suspicious so called o2 customer services after doing a google search and finding it's lbm marketing, they said lbm is one of the 3rd parties they use but they shouldn't be contacting me at the moment after only upgrading a few weeks ago. They said not to give any details and whatever they are offering would be available through cust services, he couldn't fond the deal this 0800 number offered me anywhere. He said lbm should not be claiming they are o2 when they are a 3rd party linked to o2, he silken in a details suppression form so none of these 3rd parties will have access to my details. SCAM.

I've had this number call me far too often. I finally answered it and told the man i would be contacting the police with the number and his company would be charged for harassment. He hasn't called me since.
