- Kargilly replies to linda| 1 replyI too received a call yesterday from DTD European services. Same address... Roxburgh house in Regent street London W1B 2HA and same telephone number 08448802598. I can't remember the mans name but he was very chatty and said i had entered a draw for an i phone and from there I'd been selected to have the chance to win lots of money on the lottery for £11 a week. The initial membership would be for 3 months and then I could cancel after that. He then went on to say his manager would take over the call and take my details. When I refused to give any details especially bank details he wanted to know why and then said that he was probably more trustworthy than my postman because he could be reading all my bank details from my statements and also my bank could be passing my information on so as far as he was concerned he was to be trusted more with my details. I said no thank you i wasn't interested. He got quite verbally aggressive so i put the phone down. I managed to dial 1471 and the caller number was 027112001100, it was a South Africa dialing code and i think it was Johannesburg area. I am also glad i didn't give any details after reading theses threads.
P.S I had entered a draw to win an i phone months ago so whether it was the same company that had set the draw up or has my home phone number been sold on ??? - Paul Reid replies to KargillyHad the call today.
"the iPhone draw is tomorrow you have also been selected to take part in the euro 100 etc.
Lots of spiel about it £11/ week etc names given DTD European, eurochance100. Same address, vat details as previously mentioned. Said his name Alex Van Reen and was calling from SA when I asked where he was.
I got onto the internet and googled, found several hits on "DTD european" and "scam".
Eventually he started to phish for bank stuff. When I drew the line, he started to blah on about post man and trust. That was enough for me to thank him for his time and start to disengage. He wasn't going to accept me terminating the call so eventually I just thanked him and hung up.
Thanks to all who have previously posted. Seems like the community looking after each other. - Marion Cobretti replies to MichelleReally? You think their site looks legit? I thought it looked cheesey and cheap, no way would I trust these guys as far as I can spit them and have emailed them today telling them so in no uncertain terms. Also, they called me at work, I NEVER put my work phone number into anything so they must have intercepted email with my phone number in the signature...surely this is illegal, and if not - why not??
- lucky escapeI just got a call from these people but refused to hand over any details , on the internet at the time and was quick enough to do a search. the number DTD European services called me from is 08009886006 so people please beware! lottery scam!!

- RobboJust received a call from a charming man named Alex, sounded West African or there abouts.
Informed me that I was in with a chance to win an I Phone and an oppurtunity to join a syndicate for Euro Lottery for the sum of £11 a week. He then passed me onto his so called manager who tried to convince me that my Bank sort code and account number were not secret information and enquired as to the details.
I politely told him to go f**k himself and hung up.
He called back a short while later and received a serious mouthful of abuse.
Have been a victim of internet fraud and am very cautious.

They will give you a VAT number for the firm as: 880231931

The address I was given was 273/287Regent Street, Roxborough House, W1B 2HA
The VAT number is registered at Hamilton House, Mabledon Place, Bloomsbury, WC1H 9BB
Just confirms my suspicions.......- Caller: DTD European Ltd
- MikeHi All
Also had a call from 08009886006. Was given the whole speech about what a great opportunity it would be to play LOTTO through a syndicate. Apparently I had entered some competition to win a free IPOD (yeah right!) Being from South Africa you have to wake up pretty early in the morning to pull one over on me. The guy on the phone regconised my accent and tried befriending me as a fellow country man. Again I do not fall easily for cheap tricks like that. A good indicator for people pulling scams is the person who is trying to scam you will make it sound like a brilliant idea and will go into great detail taking a long time to explain the system. This is how they distract you from the scam, it's an old trick. They may also mention free gifts and say things like "so many people have made money from this" and "I will be honest with you", they could not be further from the truth. Remember rule number 1 of receiving calls or being approched by strangers.....If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is. Please people be mindful of anyone offering you free gifts or money and ask yourself why would they be giving free stuff away to anyone and everyone and would, nothing in life is for free. It doesn't matter if they give you a website address these can be just as fraudulent as the people calling.- Caller: DTD European services

- Caitlin replies to BThis happened to me and my boyfriend, they called and asked for his account no and sort code, he foolishly gave it to them but told them under no circumstances to take any money. They said they would send paperwork in post but nothing received. Then yesterday got a letter saying a £44 d/d had bounced in his account, thank god we had the sense to take money out of that account before they took it. Spoke to bank about it, they are going after DTD and refunding our bounced d/d fee.
Never take calls from these people, hang up and report, total scam. - naveenhi i got call from this number08009886006 dtd DTD European Services Ltd /Eurochance100 . - Bob replies to robboRegistered address can sometimes be the solicitors and VAT the accountants if outsourcing certain aspects of the business
- MattThey take £44 out of my account every month and I haven't given m account details to ANYONE!
- Claire replies to julie| 3 repliesI got the exact same call, and guess what I think I should contact my bank because I am a complete idoit. They told me all about the euromillions draw and then told me all this stuff that my law they couldn't ask for my bank details but asked for my sort code and account number. Then his manager came on to congrat me on joining and hoped I would win one of the prizes. I am disabled and due to my condition I listen to this calls and then answer all these questions not reaslising what I am doing. They said they will send out a letter b4 the 20th July for me to look at and that the first payment would come out on the 1st August 2010 for £44.00 and thereafter for another 2 months, i think that is what was said. SO I THINK I SHOULD GET ON TO THE BANK IMMEDIATELY oh I AM SO STUPID!!!!!!
- Aaron replies to Claire| 2 repliesMe to i litterally just fell for it, i'm usually very cautious about it but as long as the money don't come out until 1st september i will stop it far before then.
- AaronThis is even more of a scam than you may have realised. If you get involved with Eurochance100 your details will be passed to Telegen UK - a call-centre that is well-known for nuisance calls. They will call you repeatedly, not just on behalf of Eurochance but also on behalf of AXA, PPP, The Telegraph Media Group, HBOS and the RAC. They ignore the Telephone Preference Scheme because they say that you have given them permission to make unlimited spam telephone calls. They also ignore the fact that you may be ex-directory
