Phoned  for my sons phone number, said it was nationwide and a matter of great urgency. I refused to give it. They had the last 3 digits of his bank account. Told them he would call them back on number given (01793556262). Did 1471 on their number it was 0800281801. Phoned no on Nationwide web site - they didnt recognise the number, but said they dont know all the numbers.

Called me about 4 times in 5 minutes!

One ring call. I haven't requested a mortgage/loan/etc and I don't bank with them. Not a clue why they are phoning me!

yes i recieved a call from this number it was Nationwide - they left a message re mortgage products.

As everyone says...its Nationwide. It could even be if you have applied through another mortgage company like The Mortgage Works as they are linked. Or some muppet at there end has entered the incorrect phone number of a client.

Yes its Nationwide - but they also call themselves KPR Debt recovery - a trading name of nationwide!!!

This seems to be the generic caller display number for all divisons of nationwide.

Apparently Nationwide, but the queerest person I have ever spoken to - so politely told them where to go.  I was asked for details that should not be requested over the phone and told (in order to get me to "verify some details") that a large payment had been made into my account.  I wish.  My bank details say otherwise.  Bring it on.

The nationwide/mortgage works/portman building society late payments dept. If you have missed a payment or are £50 behind with your mortgage expect a call from this number typically at tea-time or 8.30am.

These annoying scumbags purport to be the Nationwide although I cannot believe that their conduct could possibly be sanctioned by an FSA controlled body (still, Northern Rock was).

They are persistently phoning, annoying and even scaring my 89 yr old mother and if I get my hands on the filth responsible I will not be backing off to avoid any consequences. They are on notice.

It is Nationwide. I work on a complaints team and thats the number that comes up when i ring people. All out going calls from Nationwide come up with this number. best number to call back on is 08457302010 who can put you in touch with the right team (if you know why someone might be calling you of course)

Repeated callls from Nationwide Buiding Society all saying that because it was a missed call the would ring again aT a later date

Nationwide called as i'm behind on my overdraft. Always really pleasant people to deal with; unlike any other bank i've had to speak to...

Missed a call from this number. But they left voicemail, telling that its one employee calling me from my local Nationwide. They asked me to call them back on different number.
But as they said its my local branch, I went there and found that person. She asked me if I want to have financial review, and tried to recommend me some other savings products (as my Fixed rate ISA Bond matured for a second time with them). But in both cases I said "no", I'll think. And they said its OK.
So I can also confirm - its Nationwide BS.

Am waiting for a call from my local nationwide regarding a complaint I wanted to make.  Have been called twice from this number within 5 mins.  I missed the first call.  No message was left.  When I answered the second call, it was silent.  Again, no message left.  Nationwide are a disgrace.
