this number has rung me five times I believe this is domestic and general insurance . these companys should be fined if they persist in constant ringing you.

This company called me today, as I didn't recognise the number just let it go to answer maching. They never left a message. Caller is now barred.

I have asked this company to stop calling me. They still call everyday!!!

I have had 3 calls from this number so far today.  Have not answered.  If they phone again I'm going to ask them what they want. Apparently it's Domestic and General and they deal with warranty for domestic appliances.  I think they have been put on to me by Argos as I bought a new fridge freezer from them recently.  I have phoned 0800 444 232 to try and get my name removed from their files.  I don't imagine they will take any notice though.

Get about 2-3 cold calls per day.  Unable to block...Wish this would stop.  Thanks to an answerphone I can see who it is and ignore.  Why waste time and money doing this...what's the point?  Cant' even answer and they don't leave a message.  Just a nuisance.

TPS doesn't seem to stop any cold calls. I even double checked to ensure I was still registered

Domestic & General. They are now also using landline number 01789 550186, to catch out those of us who have got wise to this 0800 number!   Beware!

Going to take this opportunity to change the subject hope I am not out of line but here goes.
Had a letter the other week telling me I was on the open electroll roll meaning all my information data
can be sold to all and sudrey who will pay unless I opted out needless to say I did, do some digging folks for your most likely in for a lot of more unwelcome calls and junk mail. Am I mad or did the government say it was going to try to abolish this type of marketing? and here we have the councils yet again selling our details. Scary.

Caller trying to offer an extended warranty on a newly-bought dishwasher. Obviously not worth returning these warranty cards as Bosch just sell your details to someone else (unknown).

I got a call from them a few minutes ago, when I answered the phone they simply made a shuffling noise on their end and hung up

I bought a CALLBLOCKER from amazon £38 . great gadget it seems to work on most domestic  phones but you have to have Id caller display  enabled on your  (if you have any question)their support on e-mail : support @cprcallblocker .com
ive had it for 10 months and its blocked 95 numbers that I manualy blocked ;-)

The telephone preferance scheme only works on calls originating in the UK.  The law is that anyone wanting to cold call in the uk should first, before calling check to see if the number is listed with the tps. but the call has to originate from the uk and these companies use cheap international lines.  They also hide their identiy by giving a false caller id or just not giving an id.
My advise is to buy a call blocker.  It blocks a pre loaded list of known scammers, you can programm it not to accept overseas calls, or calls whose caller id is witheld.  Ones like this will get through but just hit the block button and the number is stored in the memory and they never get though again.

I wondered how they had my number.   I've just bought a dishwasher from Bosch.   Got a lower opinion of Bosch now I realise that my details seem to have been sold on.
