I'm having a busy week with nuisance calls. Numerous calls yesterday from both 'international witheld' and 'witheld'. Then today one after the other, calls from numbers that weren't witheld, so i answered, but neither of them felt right to me. I couldn't get the number that the first one called from but I got a number to return their call. Sam, who called me, told me that he was calling regarding an insurance policy with a well known company that we were supposed to have. This is news to me! The reason I wasn't able to get the number of the first caller was that another call came through before I got the chance to dial 1471. The second call was, as I understand trying to get me to renew an insurance on our washing machine, which made me a tad concerned, as we don't have the brand of washing machine that he mentioned, so I quizzed the guy as to where he got his info etc and all he could say was a third party company. I got a number out of him that I could call back at a better time and the number he gave me as 08007797444, the name of the company he gave me was Big Warranties and told me I could look them up on their website bigwarranties.co.uk     Something else that concerned me about this, and the earlier call, was the level of background noise trying too hard to sound like a call centre. Usually you can hear other operators in the background, but not so loud as these guys backgrounds were, which made me think that they were trying their best to prove that they were in a bona fide call centre. 02036420133 was the number I was called from in this instance.
