after my sky account

aparently from sky asking for my 16 digit card number refrance insurance on our sky box. was very persistant and wouldt put anything in writing till we had set up a new aggrement?

Got a call wanted to take over my repair contract from Sky. Will not send anything by mail.
Is this ascam?

Trying to say they were from Sky Insurance for repairing equipment and were going to reduce my monthly payment by £2.   Wanted my Bank Details.  Would not send out paperwork.  Gave me 08009802078 for any problems and also asked me to ring that number to confirm it was Sky telephoning me.  Believe this to be a scam.

We do ask for the long card number running through the middle of the debit card to process the monthly/quarterly payment, but these details are deleted immediately and are not stored on our system.

I am with this company, elite sky repairs and i am very happy with the level of service they provided me.
i can confirm this is not a scam just a third party company that specialize in the warranty for sky equipment.

As dodgy as they come, presuming to offer you a £2 discont per month when they dont even know you have cover.....

Record their pitch then show it to those who matter...if they want to fight this prove me and us wrong on here

Took out the cover as thought was genuine.  When I've come to email them to cancel the subscription email has bounced back!!  Now worried!!

They do ask for your long debit or credit card number , will they be genuine and stop taking instalments if you cancel the agreement with them,

They rang us yesterday and gave the impression they were Sky.  Only got an answerphone when we tried to cancel so have now cancelled the card number we gave them

My 80 year old parents were contacted by Elite Sky Repairs and were persuaded to take out a contract on 14th April 2010, their bank account duly debited.  Despite being promised a contract/agreement in the post they have recieved absolutely nothing. My parents and myself have made at least six phone calls to the company in an attempt to receive at least an acknowledgement or contract and each time have been promised 'we will send it again'.  I have even tried to get them to send the information to me but they refused saying that the contract had to go to the contracted address. I am very suspicious.. To this day, they have had nothing and they are now asking their bank to retrieve £95 for them as ESP have not kept to their word and broken their promises on several occasions.  This is a lot of money for a pensioner to lose so I hope they are successful. I would strongly advise anyone not to part with any money to this company

Hi Sharon, You have spoken to me a number of times and I understand your concerns. I have spoken to Mrs English and she has confirmed that the paperwork has now been received. The payment of £90 for two years warranty is being refunded to Mrs English and the policy is now cancelled our end. We do sell an Insurance Policy and we are regulated and authurised by the Financial Services Authority.

Hi Fred,

We buy our information from marketing companies. The information we hold is name, address & contact number. We ask for people who watch TV through a satellite. (a question you may have once answered) The information is not from Sky.

Once someone sets up a policy with us the payments are processed immediately and then the bank details are destroyed and are not kept on our system.

just been called this evening... they said we already had a warranty, and they were going to reduce the cost.   I thought it would be a reduction in my sky bill, but it's a separate d/d.. we didn't have the warranty at all!! I had to phone telephone banking and cancel my card.

got a call from a so called sky person offering a reduction on my monthly subscription wanted card details,only to find £77.00 had been taken from my account without my knowledge,was not told this by the so called sky personwho called himself james.Had to cancel my card,have phoned elite sky repair as this is what they are trading under and have been told that i have to cancel my subscription,was not told i was in a contract over the,so now will sen a letter to cancel my so called contract even though i have not been sent any paperwork from them,all i wnat is my money back .I dont now how people can be so dishonest.

I have received a call from Elite this evening. They said that they were linked directly to Sky. I didn't believe them either. I checked with Sky and their recommended repair partner is Domestic and General and they have never heard of Elite. I can vouch for D&G as I am currently with them and the service is good..
