As you may have noticed, There are not many positive comments on this site about my company. The reason being is because the happy customers have no reason to be on here,

Thank you for the comments above, I will use these comments in a positive way and look at different ways in which we can improve our service.

I have noticed that the problems above are mainly aimed at the sales team. Although the sales agents are reading from an approved script I will have a look to see if we can improve it to further prevent any miss understandings in the future.

I received a call from Elite Sky Repairs Ltd claiming they were Sky and I already had an acount with them for repair and that they were offering me a £2 reduction in payment. I was slightly confused by what the chap was saying but he re -assured me that i did have an accouint and read me the number of a card.claiming it was mine i told him this was not the number to which he told me it must be my old  card number. I foolishly believed him and gave him my new number! I am now in the process of cancelling my card.

I too have been a victim of this scam and have had money illegally taken from my bank account after a phone call promising us a discount on our monthly subscription - that we currently paid £8 and it was being reduced to £5. Funny that the payment taken from my account was £15!!

What else is funny is that the only person on here to make a good comment about the level of service given by the company - Ashley Wood -  also has the same name as an employee of Elite that I have just been talking to trying to resolve this. Funny, eh?

Hi Clare, Thank You for your comment. The Insurance that we sell for a standard sky system is £5 per month as agreed. We do advise our customers that we will be taking this quarterly which will explain the £15 payment.  

We are regulated by the FSA and the sales agents stick to an approved script. We make it clear in the calls that we are selling Insurance.

Ashley wood works for the company and did put a comment on this site. Ashley Wood also has Sky and has a policy with us, We have 3 members of staff who have taken out our policy.

Received call from Elite Sky Repairs and was informed by them they could reduce my contract to £5 pounds a month for protection.As i have never had protection i asked where they got my information from, they replied Opt In Data. STAY CLEAR  disreputable company.

Put your money where your mouth is!!!! "David Hurn" is correct in saying (over and over) that elite sky repairs are auth and regulated by the FSA (well technically!!!), however if  this companies malpractice were to be brought to the attention of the FSA then im 100% sure that they would not be trading for much longer!!!! So please if anyone gets scammed by this company like so many others have (including myself) get in contact with the FSA this will put a stop to Elite sky repairs underhand trading. Its only a matter of time...and trust me they would not have a leg to stand on.

My Complaint to the FSA is currently being reviewed..... watch this space.

Just had Elite call me to say they could reduce my maintenance contract from £7 a month to £5. We don't have a contract with them. They wanted my debit card number etc. Very sharp practice.

Elite Sky Repairs just contacted my Mother. The Guy on the phone was extremely persistent and mixed his words, firstly saying she had current cover for £7... and could give a discount for £5. The poor fella didn't realise I work for Sky and had no leg to stand on.

Elite Sky Repairs you need to work on your 'script' because it doesn't make any sense.

This is  without doubt the worst business practise I have seen. I received a call from "Millie" or "Milly", saying that as we were a Sky subscriber and that we were to receive a reduction in our monthly payments. As my wife deals with all household things including Sky, and was out I did not know if we had cover or not, nice Milly asked for my bank card number. My remark to her was if you say we have an account with your company and are offering a discount youy should already be in possession of this number. Someone in Sky must be giving details of bank card details somehow.

As soon as I called to ask how this agreement could be now just put in place I had this smug Marc or Mark Wood tell me that I must have taken out this agtreement.

I have sent a Recorded Delivery Letter  today quoting my right "Your Right To Change Your Mind" which states you have 143 days to cancel the policy

if you believe this you are very misinformed or misguided, the statement that you advisors explain to your customers that you are selling insurance is completely untrue. The call misleads and borders on untruth.

I intend to take the advice from others and report this to to the FSA.

My father spoke to a young lady called iesha. She was completely honest that it would be a swap from one company to another, fully explained the price difference and reasons and then gave him the option of changing? He agreed. She went through the call thoroughly and patiently as he wrote notes and she dealt with his bank details in a respectfull polite manner without being pushy or forcefull. He paid for the year and passed the phone to me to double check everything. Iesha then repeated everything to my satisfaction and I was also compelled to purchasing the insurance though I didn't previously have any. Mine was slightly more as I have hd and multiroom but £21 per quater for 3 boxes isn't bad going at all. We have both received our documents which confirm everything iesha told us. I was very happy with her attitude and did not feel forced, more as though she advised us thoroughly on a product she is paid to sell. The call did come as a surprise and the start which is obviously scripted is very cocky in assuming people already have cover. But not once did the girl act as though she was calling from sky or that elite sky repairs where the existing insurer. Maybe the rest of the sales team should listen to her as she seemed confident yet relaxed and I am sure a more aggressive approach would have instantly repelled my elderly father. The team are only as good as the training. And as far as this being a scam is concerned, I checked the fsa number she provided and it all checked out. Maybe the people complaining have had a bad sales person or perhaps aren't listening properly because the way my call was handle was nothing short of pleasant.

This Company Elite Sky Repairs, are calling Sky subscribers and announcing that they are to reduce your servicing payments, (even if you dont have a service agreement) and requesting bank card details. Thereafter you receive a contract, (which as stated by them you already have), which you dont want nor asked for.

The girl who called me was very glib and freindly, just a scam. I have immediately sent a letter Recorded Delivery Mail claiming the 14 day " Your Right To Change Your Mind" cancelling any agreement they think I have with them, my suggestion is everyone else do the same. The cost of Recorded Delivery, £5, is well worth the money spent to rid myself of them.

I intend to send a communication to the Trading Standards Authourity on this issue and will target them to the website "Elite Sky Repairs-Scam" found on Google. We can't all be liars when we are all telling the same story.I have read reply comments from their Operations Manager David Hurn expressing his surprise that his staff would do these things, well surprise surprise Mr Hurn!

I listen to what you are saying, you must be lucky with the person you talked to the one I got was a downright, shamefaced liar. The girl I talked to was also polite and freindly, but nevertheless a downright liar.

just got called about reducing my repair plan, trouble is i don't remember taking one out, i upgraded last year to HD box and system still under warranty,how has he got my details, surely not from Sky who also phoned last week offering extended warranty as year is up in October, is this a Scam????????????????? help.

Just got off the phone from Elite ..... I can smell BS so I hung up in the end ..... the thing that annoys me is that my parents who are in their 80s have Sky and would probably fall for this scam ..... it really does make my blood boil that these parasites are allowed to prey on vulnerable people .... on the day that finally those terrorists of the car park - the Clampers - have finally had their come uppance these telemarketeering terrorists continue with their scatter gun approach.

thankfully i did not give my account details, and supprisingly they never called me back last night as promised, i wonder if it was down to me questioning them about my need to have this in the first place, surely not, so people spread the word, you have been warned.

Got a call from Elite Sky repairs by a girl called Kirsti offering me a reduction on my policy.I didnt have
my policy at hand so I thought it was my normal insurance for Sky.I was a bit suspicious and queried
giving details for my card over the phone.I was told to phone the 0800 number and gave her my details .She then asked me to cancel my other insurance policy when I checked my bank statement
I found  that I had just paid it in April. Alarm bells began to ring I contacted my bank and found that 15 pounds had been taken out of my account.I phoned Elite and asked for my contract to be cancelled.His reply was( cancel by writing to us).I would like to know if anyone has got their money back by writing.
All I can say is I will be reporting them, and if I dont get a refund They are going to get some very bad publicity on the internet.

Sorry "H" but I can only speculate that your post is a lie the same as the company you represent Mr Hurn!!!! The only other good thing written on this blog has been posted by one of your staff memebers!!! Can anyone see a pattern....your NOT fooling anyone!!!!!

Got a call telling me this company was taking over my sky repair protection insurance. Stupidly gave them my card details over the phone . now find they are at it and my original company are still trading.
Charlotte was the person i spoke to and phone number was 08008902078. I believe they are genuine but a bit under hand. Am going to stop my card today.

dodgy!!!!!!!!!!!! Under no circumstances give your bank details over the phone no matter what they tell you or how nice they are tell them to send the info by mail
