Got call from this number did not say who they were as poor line, they asked for a different name than mine, so just said to them they have the wrong number, I did have a vodafone contract but the number i got is not vodafone it orange and pay as u go. so i am glad this page is here, as I was curious who they were, someone should do something about these people as I have seen by the dates it has been going on for 2yrs.

They have called me too! 3 times in the past 4 days! i have missed the calls as they call me mostly during school! thanks - i now know not to pick up!

I had missed calls from this number so looked online to see what it was. I found out it was a scam, so was prepared when it called again today. The woman knew my surname, and said she was from Vodafone. I said, "Can I stop you there? First of all I know you're a scammer and I know you will ask for my details next, I'm really not interested so do not call me again". She got VERY nasty about it, saying, "ACTUALLY you got that wrong didn't you? Because I AM from vodafone and it is NOT a scam". I said "You don't sound very much like a vodafone representative" and hung up. In hindsight I probably should not have even picked up, but at least I can say for sure, they don't behave anything like they work in Vodafone. Just full of attitude.

Ive had several of these calls twice i tried to answer, the first all i could here was a girl laughing and saying something, i dont think they expected me to answer, cos the phone soon cut off, second time it cut off as i answered. I like the idea of confronting them. I think nxt time they call i am gonna wind them up lots so much that they get the hump plus i havea in call record feature on my phone that i will be using ha ha

Missed call today - I'm NOT a Vodaphone customer (happily with O2) so god know where they got my number!!

i got a call off them, i dont answer to any numbers starting with 08 anyway, wish i had now as it would have been amusing- im on a pay as you go phone on orange! lol

Had a call about an hour ago. I answered and heard a man laughing and talking the other end, and then they hung up.
I am a customer of Orange, so I've no idea how they got hold of my number!!

How can I be "happy with the service I receive from Vodaphone" if I never have been and never will be a vodafone customer!? I do not get coverage where I live.

Looking forward to answering tomorrow for a nice 'chat'... because I know time wasters like this always call back...

Thank God you guys are here. I've heard about scammers but never been called before. This number has kept on phoning me for the last week and I keep missing it. They never leave a message. Next time I'll try and answer and see what they say.

I've got a couple of missed calls too!. have answered today only to get someone to hang up on me without a word. Could hear voices on the background though. I'm with o2 and guessing they got my details from some competition website. will try to asnwer next time to find out what the scam is about.

I just received a call from this number - saying they were vodafone - they asked me who my service was with and then they asked if I was on a contract or a pay as you go - I told them I didn't have time to talk and then hung up.  Glad I did judging by previous messages.

Just got a call from this number, bloke said he was from Vodafone and that all calls are recorded for training purposes. I said that was fine. He asked me if I was on PAYGO or contract. I told him that I don't discuss this over the phone. He was then rude and asked How was he supposed to work out what to do. I told him to use his best judgement!!!. He repeated his question again, so I thanked him for his time and hung up.

This number has been ringing me for weeks and have finally googled it after missing all the calls! Looking forward to having some fun if i ever get the chance to answer the call. Thankfull for this thread :)

hahaha they rang me seeing if i would like to upgrade my Vodafone account .. hmm kinda weird tha im on o2 hahah an hav neva been on vodafone PMSL didnt half hav sum fun threatening them hahahahahahaha she sh*t herself an put fone down lol

this person attempted to ring me today and by the looks of things they claim that they are from 'vodafone' but im on virgin so next time if they call im gonna give them a lecture!

I got a call from this number tonight but didn't answer it, thank God I goggled it. I am on O2 though and never been with Vodafone and am on pay as you talk. They have rang other people on O2 according to some posts, think everyone should block this number or at least save it in your mobile so you know not to answer!!
