Mandy, how did you get to that conclusion? Can't you read? Michael said his customers pay for a Call Blocker to be sent out to block calls. TPS offer no such service!

Alan I realy wouldnt waste your time. The posters on here have exposed themselves in their comments as either being completely bogus or just not capable of reading. One firm sends out a call blocker when some one orders it and another provides representation (we know they are not solicitors but if you call and ask or simply look on their notice board you can speak to people they have been to court for and won cases so please do not reurgitate old info that they actually put on their site saying they are not a legal body or something to that) and is there to talk to about problems and helps people get money back they've been scammed out of. Neither sound anything like tps in any way shape or form Plus, as already stated by another poster earlier on this thread tps only pass complaints to the oft and do not enforce anything so are a waste time when you can go direct to oft anyway. As far as im aware oft take complaints but do not sell call blockers and you just try call them a few times and get support and then go read the 2 sites in question. It's very easy to distinguish the massive differences in all parties concerned.

My advice to any reader of this thread is to speak to trading standards and they will tell you the truth, they are not under investigation and they have no concerns about tapa (Ive had no dealings with the other so not asked but im sure anybody can).

Also, I asked "peace" about the police station/officer that made arrests at tapa but am yet to hear back. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not? Suspicious, definitely!

Whilst you were having your cozy little chat with TAPA about this thread and the people who posted on it, did they mention  the abusive and obscene posts they made on 08445373311 to several of us who were fighting them and trying to help people who they had conned. Did they mention that they had particularly targetted a lady called LizzieM (who was at that time receiving treatment for cancer) and posted her real name and address with the threat that they had "friends who lived in that area"?  Did they tell you that the majority of their posts were removed by the site Moderator, not just because of their sickening content but because, despite using several names, they all came from the same IP address?  Lizzzie M has since died but, had that not been the case, she would have posted on here with the truth about this disgusting company.

If you read my response to Eastways (posted today) you will understand why I have nothing but contempt for TAPA, and why I will do all I can to try and stop people being conned by them.  The only bit of good news is that they seem to have stopped conning individuals.

With regard to your post, may I make two comments?  Firstly your company name of Nuisance Calls Registry, gives the firm impression that people would register with your company to stop nuisance calls. This, of course, is TAPAs method of operation. There is no mention, in your company name that you, in fact, sell a ca Secondly, you have chosen to use the same registered address as TAPA.  These are, of course, your own decisions but it does not take a genius to work out that these items, taken together, give an impression of your company which is open to misinterpretation.

Our service is an added extra to the free TPS. The free service can only stop calls from genuine rule adhering firms from within the UK,who are prepared to pay thousands of pounds per year to obtain lists of numbers who they are NOT allowed to call, as a result of this, lots of telesales and marketing companies in the uk, flout the law, as for the companies and scammers from overseas, well, they are a rule unto themselves.
We offer the call blocker, as it is the only way to offer a customer a paid service that Guarantees to stop all calls that they do not wish to receive...
After reading lots and lots about tapa over the last few days i am now in full understanding of what they do, however, it is still nothing like what we do.....i understand where your comments may have come from, as some companies out there are just there to make a quick buck, where as we are in it for the long haul...yes..to make money, but its only £35.52 for the blocker...so our fees are are lot less than the others out there, plus we send a physical device to people.....all the best.

Mandy,i would just like to say that our service is completely different to the TPS. The free service clearly states on its own website that it cannot stop calls coming from overseas, ppi calls, scam calls, calls from bogus companies, surveys or recorded messages. It will stop calls from genuine UK based telesales and marketing companies that are prepared to spend a few thousand pounds a year to buy the lists of people that they are not allowed to ring, due to this, a lot of companies ignore the current uk law and just ring who they want. Our call blocker stops 100 percent of calls, as it syncs the contact from your mobile phone book/address book etc etc by manually entering the numbers from whom you wish to receive calls from, all other calls are disconnected before they even ring your end, we do explain this totally to our customers before hand, as for some it may be too effective. Also, if i were simply offering a service of charging people to put them on the free TPS, then i would have gone out of business years ago. people come to us via our google adwords advertising campaign and register for a call back, once they have been through our site, we even have a direct link to the free tps, so as that people can go there and register for free if they should so wish. I hope this clarifies the situation.

Nice one, how obvious have you made it now!  I bet you thought no one would cotton on to you cause your only doing google pay per click. That's why you where daft enough to register at your usual tapa postal address.

Sorry I rumbled you, the CIB will be in touch soon!

    Keep running TAPA.

    Tapa have had to stop.

And now they have set a new operation up, it don't take a genius to see what's happened, it's actually very very obvious, coupled with the response by Michael desperatly trying to defend his new set up, because having learned by there mistakes with tapa, they are probably now trying to do things wright, I.e not cold calling and lying to people, or taking people to court.

Why would you not include your telephone number on your new website? They claim high volume of inquires. That's clearly a lie cause they have only just set up a ltd company, surely u would want to promote your business number.

They did not want people like me setting up a new whocallsme thread, exposing the link to tapa.

    Hey, I have an idea,

    Google pay per click yeah!

So does that mean if I or readers of this post who are board or simply dont like you click on your google add, you get charged, cool.

Ok, so I've just searched "nuisance calls register"

Your add came up top, then I clicked it, your poor web site comes up, and your get charged!!

    Nice one.

Hope u got plenty of credit with google, or do they bill u monthly mike?

Peace, are you aware you said a few weeks ago the police shut tapa down? Now you say that they have switched operation? Make your mind up! Also, there, their and they're all mean different things.

    "and your get charged!!"

haha! Go back to school and stop conning people! It's very clear you are one of the advertising crooks tapa warn others about. You seem to have too much of a hate campaign against companies that help victims (like myself) or stop unwanted calls to be genuine. Plus your comments are so blatantly rubbish as I called tapa twice in the past week and guess what? They answered, dealt with my problem and also have emailed me. Strange activity for a company that has been arrested / willingly closed / wound up by the government / abducted by aliens (or whatever other conspiracy you may dream up next!) .

The company that runs the mail service at Old Gloucester Street say they have over 600 companies that use that address (I called them and so can others), there are varied industries but also private research companies, detective agencies, advice bureau's, yet you have not yet named them as tapa owned venture's.

P.S. Google will not charge the site host if repeated clicks are made from the same ip address, I do know as I use it myself.

In the case of Micheal Bourne, how do you know how long his comapny has been trading? You are clearly an idiot as registering a company can be done anytime or not at all.

Final mystery, you are yet to explain why you are on this thread. I have said I'm happy with them and others have said they are but do not like that they have to pay and others say they are not happy. You seem to come on to just post false info and then when it's clear that it's false post different false info yet have not said why. Are you a customer that is not happy? Or, as suggested by tapa just a crook trying to stop victims of your crime from getting their (prime example of there, their and they're peace) help?

Another sure solution other than the TPS to stop nuisance calls is a true call machine yes there is a cost to buy it but they are known to work and be reliable and possible more effective than the TPS.

As for any other companies charging for these services I personally would give them the barge pole treatment

That's your best response? When all goes wrong for your fraudulent post accuse the others of being tapa employees?haha! Do you not think people will just call 0843 2896037 and see that they have not changed name?

"Ken", so, you promote tps which is useless for these problems with your scam companies and tell people not to pay for any service yet to buy a blocker? Idiot!

Just another very final point "Ken", "Dave", "Peace" & "Nan", if trading standards, the office of fair trading, the police and companies investigation branch are satisfied tapa do as they say and can justify very easily their charges and even explain they do not just register people with tps, why is it you think people will swallow you claims they have changed name, been arrested or shut down. Especially when out of curiosity people call them and confirm they are still very much active. I think you should focus on looking for employment as your scam ad companies days are numbered. How does it feel when people you con get their money back and your comrades are getting arrested and even jailed? Time to go back to mugging old ladies or in the case of 1 of these companies owners beating women up on the street(that's right, tapa pointed me to an article online about 1 of the directors of these companies that did a stretch inside for assaulting a total stranger - woman)!

Nuisance Call Services (or is it Network Registrations? - same address, different name) duped my 80 year old father into signing up at the cost of £35 just this week. I've been trying to contact them to get the service cancelled and to refund the money for the last hour and a half - guess what, no answer.

Each time this thread has another post added it becomes more of a farce! Tapa tell people random info gets posted just to bulk up the threads in the hope people see how many pages there are rather than read each thread and yet again prove their worth as the evidence is all on just this thread alone, let alone the other threads that seemingly link tapa to any number that ever dials out! Crazy!

"Reporting Suspect Companies", I understand that tapa had an extensive file of evidence against that particular company. Going off your post it at least gives me more confidence that tapa make a difference. Have you read their notice board and press releases? There is some interesting info on there about companies they have had complaints about and investigated then handed over to the relevent authority, be it police or government that then the insolvency service or police release their info months later saying they have shut them down or made arrests.

It kind of puts to rest the accusations of them being behind the initial scam if they not only help get money back but then also instigate the closure.
