Nothing from Action Fraud - the ones who sorted it for me were my local Trading Standards who phoned TAPA and told them they were in breach of the distance selling regulations. (TAPA disagreed with them, but I guess they thought twice about contacting me again!)

why do you need to sign in I never have? are their extra benefits to registering?

Not really, but it guards against people posting as you, which anybody can. If you register/sign in you get a little avatar which means its definitely you! Somebody, probably from TAPA, once posted something in my name that was disgusting, so now I sign in every time so that people know it really is me. So if you ever see a post without my little monster, you can guarantee its not me!

it's just a threat..... Not bothered though the ASA ruling would stand up in court any day and I have a very good solicitor!

I have been watching for a while, same story as everyone else.

Keep strong the ASA result would stand up in court anyday I'm just seeing if these guys have the balls to do it! I'm not the sort to roll over!

Silly question I know, but was it on orange paper, and was it actually from the court or from TAPA, cos summonses are only issued by the courts.

Same story as you all. Contacted Consumer Direct, sent ignored letters, changed my numbers a few months ago, kept an eye on your threads to keep me in the picture & have had a 'letter' threatening court action if I don't settle within 7 days. I will join you in court Lucid I'm so angry & determined. Will phone TS again tomorrow

I think they use the threat of court action very quickly as a scare tactic. They think that people will not want to have a CCJ against their name and will therefore pay up. Chris Irvine threatened me with court action the day after I received their pack. He said I would receive a number of calls asking for payment, to prove they had made reasonable efforts to recover their money. Its all a load of bull! After those judgements made by the ASA any case would be thrown out of court, and with TAPA picking up the costs, so they're not going to do it are they?

Thanks Lizzie; I know you are right it's just SO infuriating to feel the victim of fear psychology. I've really value the support you & the others have given over the last few months through this other sites.

No its not an official letter it's just a threat. i say bring it on! I'm really prepared to take these guys on!
