No it doesn't, but a longer standing member of the MSE forum has re-posted it for me - thanks! Thanks for your good wishes - I'm still managing to keep positive - at least I don't have TAPA or Satlite on my back any more!!

I read this link and celebrated by getting a cup of coffee... (It would have been wine but I am at work)
    http://www.asa.org.uk/ASA-action/Adjudication ... ADJ_172523.aspx

My argument from the beginning about how they “entrap” people into paying…But to have an official body register it is such a good feeling!

From a long old enemy of TAPA and the stress they caused me

TAPA I hear by hold two fingers up to you!

I note that the supporters date their statements as being February 1th. 1st not 1th!

It's probably just 1 supporter doing all the posting and  making the same mistake each time phil! Perhaps Mr Irvine should give his supporter a few English grammar lessons!

Interesting to see all these comments. I received an email from TAPA today asking Foy payment within the next 7 days or I'll be summonsed to court.
Has anyone else got this far and what did you do? Pay or not to pay?

They will threaten and shout and scream but that is all. see the ASA ruling on them which just shows they try to mislead you into buying a useless product!!

Don't let them get to you. Just ignore them and in the end they will go away

    Thanks for the info.
I'm going to sit tight and not pay it. If anything further happens I'll come back to advise. I'll be using the ASA note on the complaints upheld against TAPA if this goes to court.

Chris Irvine started talking about court action the first time I spoke to him, before I even said I wasn't paying and the day after I received their pack!! Presumably you cancelled your so-called contract and quoted the distance selling regulations, so don't worry - and don't answer his calls! Good luck!

Same for me during the same week as LizzieM in October. I haven't had a call since early November.

I don't know if TAPA have given up on me but I am pretty sure that they have sold my details on to other scammers / factions of themselves as I get daily / multiple daily calls from other numbers who appear on different forums of this WhoCallsMe site... a lot of which have links to TAPA.
Is there NO end to this? Or is it now an inevitable part of life and I must be on constant red alert? This a whole other world that previously I had no idea about and wish I still didn't.
I still appreciate the time and effort that you all put in to keep up the awareness of this disgusting scam and keep it 'live'.
    Thank you all.

abster: That sounds probable. Is it really impractical for you to change your phone number? It might be awkward to start with but if it gets them off your back it might be worth it. I suppose it depends whether they will be able to get the new number.

I did the calculation as well but it doesn't work for all numbers
    I checked here
    http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/
by putting in the number on the site and it came up with TAPA and the correct address. I suppose unfortunately it is a valid VAT number

Yes, I tried both those avenues too. The VAT people only deal with hard facts and hard evidence. How much more evidence do they all need, though? Does it seem to anyone else that TAPA et al get away with their scams by falling between Government Agencies who do not appear to be talking to each other?

I have changed my numbers bar one, which is the one I still get calls from. I will abandon that one too, shortly, as soon as my Stormtroopers ringtone looses its ability to make me smile.
