I think it was the undeniable evidence that was backed up with a royal mail special delivery receipt number and the scanned signature showing the time and date it was signed for that forced an apology rather than a 1 minute phone call and an immediate apology.

'Johnny', I'm usually quite restrained but please grow up! Go and check the information I have posted on my comments in the past few months and if any is not true then you may question me. It gets to me that some people can be as small minded to accuse another they know nothing of, of being false when any statement/info I have posted can be confirmed at source. Just because I felt wronged by somebody that does not mean I will go on a lifelong witch hunt.My understanding of trading standards/asa etc is that their job is to regulate and make companies change if they feel they need to before taking further actions. Just because I acknowledge tapa has implemented change that tell's you I'm 'false'? Accountability lies with both parties and I have posted to help others that may have made an error in signing up with tapa not to prevent those that may want to. As I have said previously, there are many companies with asa adjudications, shall we now rally to get Virgin, Nike or Sainsbury's shut down or do we just give information on our experience's to help others that feel wronged?

On a better note, I have done a bit of digging and have found that tapa have never (to my knowledge) filed a claim to anybody that signed up for the non business service so I would'nt worry if anybody gets the threat. I am unsure anybody would go to the bother of taking someone to court for such a measly amount anyway

I have actually given these sharks my card details as I thought they were legit!
They have taken many payments of £9.99p from my bank card and they have recently taken £88.74p from the same card and I cannot seem to get my bank or anyone else to stop this, can you help or advise?

Oh as well as a liar, you said you were not posting again on this forum(or was that not you)?   I don't apologise this time because I always go with my gut instinct (it's part of my job) and you are a wrong un! Why would anyone who has had the misfortune to deal with TAPA defend them? ASA rulings on other companies? What has that got to do with this forum or the horrible experiences people either business or residential have had at the hands of TAPA.  Anyone can look at the ASA website, look at current or past companies that the ASA has upheld complaints about?????You call this digging? You received an apology??????? why only you? most on here have proof of cancellation!You bang on about residential not being taken to court, after numerous people had the threat-o-grams including myself sent after the ASA ruling-most of us fell into the category of being mis-sold and of TAPA being in breach of the distance selling regs 2000. Not being funny, but commom sense should prevail, or in your case after reading (yawn) your ramblings common sense definately has prevailed.Most on this forum have had negative experiences  with TAPA some disgusting and others could be construed as illegal. If I were you not only would I be guilty of being an a"""hole, I would be guilty of defending a company that misleads,puts pressure on by numerous phonecalls, demanding monies by credit/debit card over the phone by not so friendly agents.I fell into the category before the ASA ruling, so I am ok. What a sad day it is when I post facts and you would rather take your time to lambast me. Is your anger that much that any form of information that is not wanting blood or heads to roll is now not welcome? You too in the past took this approach and was made to look a little rash in your personal views. I am happy to give facts, I am happy for them to be checked, I am a firm believer in discussion and opinion but when that opinion is clouded by hatred to the point of calling a stranger an 'a"""hole' I think it's no longer possible to be opinionated in debate. If you have found my information to be incorrect and untrue then tell me. As yet you seem to be unhappy more with facts than anything. We have a court system and police force so vigilantes do not go around in mobs. The same we have trading standards and asa and all the other government offices there to regulate tis company and shut them down if they feel it is needed. So, you say that if there is indeed any happy customers of tapa they should remain quiet because you was not happy therefore it is not possible for any customer to be happy? Tapa could be shut down today, tomorrow, next week or never for all I care. I fell into the category of being mis-sold but have the common sense to also say I didn't read as much as I could have. I take part responsibility but that makes me 'bombastic'?

As for the apology, how have you ascertained it was only I that had one?
The relevance of other rulings is your mindset suggests that if a company has had an adjudication they are not allowed to continue and must be stopped?

If you want them shut down go and get evidence of the illegal activity and give it to the police. Maybe take the time to speak to some of the people that are on their website as paying customers. This is what made me be a little more on the fence. It's only a few calls and hopefully you will then have some form of apology for you appalling outburst.

Once again I have had a number of withheld number call from TAPA and a very bad attitude that was both insulting and upsetting, threatening me with legal action if my comments are not withdrawn from this website, the guy that called me was very matter of fact and all that he stated was totally wrong and not true!
I have been left with no choice but to consult my solicitor and place this problem in there hands and cancel all dealings with this so called company, please be warned not to deal with TAPA, they are all smoke and mirrors and take money without consent!!
I now fear for my safety with regards to this abusive and threatening company and I will now peruse this to the fullest extent of the law where possible.

Yet another threataning phone call telling me what I can and cannot do with my money and services that I have paid for, I feel violated and abused by this organisation, I will keep posting comments everywhere I can possibly find, until this company has given me all my money back in full, my solicitor has now been instructed and has advised me and my family not to take anymore unknown or withheld phone call's and that this will be dealt with accordingly.
Again by telephone threatening me with abuse and telling me that they monitor this website! I ask you, if you are legit and honest would you need to monitor this website for comments about your company if you have not done anything wrong?
Anyone with information on this company who are also having the same abuse and threats via the telephone or mail, should call the police and inform there solicitor, whilst contacting there bank to also stop payments to them!

Great news readers, any future payment requests from TAPA have now been blocked by my bank and all funds will be returned to me a.s.a.p, The Office Of Fair Trading have been notified along with the police and my solicitor is pursuing the threats on the telephone made against me and my company!

There is a God after all, keep looking at the 39 pages of complaints against you TAPA, as it is going to get longer with more complaints made against you by the day!

You should be fine if you have joined before they put the payment page on as that would be difficult for them to take any action. Let us know how it goes with the police as would be interested to hear the outcome. I don't think you did yourself any favours though by being so happy as it may not seem that you was actually fearful of threats they made.

Very strange post, Bill.  Warren made it quite plain he found the threatening calls upsetting.  He was happy that the calls had been blocked. BTW, are you the "new" Bill or the "old" Bill?

Same Bill from April. I am not discrediting his fear just stating that if the police check the posts and see the merriment after the statement of fear they may question it so may have been better not to post the cornetto tune. Just saying that they may not take it as seriously therefore tapa may get away with it or get off lightly. It was an observation to help "warren" not hinder.

Well Bill, I think you need to be in my shoes as to there threats and fraudulant activity, as I will deal with this in my own way legally and your not very well thought out remarks are of no help what so ever, so please keep them to yourself!

By the way I had another threatening phone message this morning, yet again telling me what they are going to do to me about my comments on this site!

I have always worked very hard and kept my self respectful to other peoples business, but alas I have been suffering with very bad depression for many years, due to family related stress and lies and so on, I would like you to know that I have been contemplating scuiside for while now due to all this crap and I fear that this will be my last post!

I was being helpful. I was pointing out the obvious, that if you tell the police you are fearful of your safety because of threats it's probably best you don't sing theme tunes on a public forum knowing they look at it as it is evidently just goading them. If you or anybody else fails to see that then I'm sorry it's not but I can't be held responsible for people not seeing the blatantly obvious. If you put a claim for whiplash and the insurers see you playing football it would look very bad, hopefully that example helps make it clearer.

If they are obtaining money by menaces or defrauding people then they need to be stopped. Get the evidence, tell the police and it will happen. Sorry if I seem insensitive but I get bored of putting comments that get immediately dismissed or help that is for some reason thrown back even though it is very clearly good advice. Comments regarding tapa seem to be looked at suspiciously if you do not start off with swearing and mindless ranting. I am a calm person that has worked for many years in a job where I must remain calm and rational therefore may be better than others at doing just that. "Dawn" had a volley of insults she threw at me which the moderator has removed because it was vile and pure filth that could not be true but also personal insults aimed at me. I have only ever put truths and info I feel will assist so if that gets misconstrued in anger I am powerless to stop it.

You can get digital recorders very cheap nowadays that simply plug into your phone so if they call have it plugged in and press the record button so every threat can be recorded as evidence. That would certainly assist the police.

I think you have done enough and should just keep quiet.  If you read Warren's post he is in a delicate state of mind and can do without you labouring your point.  Your original post was very clear and was sufficient to make your point.

With the greatest respect advising to get a recorder set up I believe is worthwhile advice. If my original post was clear then you and others would have understood it and I therefore would not have been told it was going against warren rather than helping.

Warren, I think you should focus on your health rather than tapa and if they call don't speak to them. You are not required by law to speak to people unless it is in a court room. That is fact. If they call just remain calm and tell them to put what they want to say in writing and terminate the call. Make sure you have your recorder ready just in case they do get heavy at the start of a call and keep a pen and pad close to record dates and times of calls, as if they become too frequent the police can instruct them to desist in contact as it would be deemed as constructive harassment.

I should probably now call tapa something to keep the vigilante mob happy....but I won't!

You say you are sorry if you seem insensitive, so you obviously know that is how you come across.  The only posts on here which  were abusive  recently were from the person claiming to be "Dawn".  For that reason, I reported them to the Moderator and they were removed.  With regard to your original post I said that you had made your point, that does not mean that I agreed with it.  I think your final remark is rather petty as the majority of people on here have stated facts in a rational way.  I came on here a short time ago, purely to find out if LizzieM was still posting.  Given the news from Phil142, there is no point in continuing to post, so you can have the last word.

If I went to the police and said someone had threatened to kill me then went and took the p*ss out of them in front of the police, do you think they would take my case seriously? Or do you think they would say I was evidently not fearful and drop my case?

I said sorry as evidently I had been perceived as being insensitive and apologised for coming accross that way not for posting my comments. There is a huge difference. I appreciate you reporting the abuse. I thought it may not have been genuine but the anger on this forum sometimes has been evident to the point of being personal so took it with a pinch of salt, but thank you. I am not interested in the last word or being petty just hopefully my advice and findings may be of use.

Hi Phil, Just seen your post.  I had decided not to post on here again as  I couldn't take any more of Bill's self righteous posts.  I must admit that I am suspicious of the last posts from Warren and the "Close family friend", but I also have a strong feeling that the thread is being hijacked and have asked the Moderator to check out a few IP addresses.  I can't help thinking that LizzieM would be really upset about the things which seem to be going on.
