These dreadful people called my 86 year old mother this week and have literally terrified her. They confused her on the phone into thinking they were calling from the (legitimate) home utility protection service that she pays for and told her it was 1.99 per month to stop all nuisance calls. They didn't use the name Secure telephone service Ltd'. She has caller ID on her phone and does not normally answer cold callers but was using the upstairs extension and couldn't see the number unfortunately!
She has now had a letter from them saying she has verbally agreed a contract with them for 3 years at £25 per month. I have taken steps to deal with that obviously but they are an absolute disgrace and should be stopped.
They had got hold of my mothers bank details from somewhere, to make matter worse, (she didn't give them anything over the phone) and I can only assume they have therefore stolen a database from the service company that she uses or from somewhere else?
She now has to change her bank account and we, her family, have to deal with these low life people who think it's ok to abuse the elderly and fraudulently extract cash from them.

Sorry about that carol.I have been working there nearly two years and we have some quite happy customers but never mind eh? I get accused of being a con artist all the time but it goes with the territory and I resist telling people what I really think of them on an almost semi- permanent basis now! i had a call from this number today offering to provide a service blocking cold calls etc for a cost of £84 99. I asked to be given the information by post but agreed to get it by email. There is no address or contact other than the given 0844 number which makes me suspicious! Do I take it that this is a scam?

My mum had a call from Charlotte today, she was very rude when my mum said she wasn't interested so my mum hung up, Charlotte then rang straight back and I answered, she was very rude to me also, told me I was rude then hung up! The company is a joke!

Rubbish.Call Guardians go out to anyone who asks for one so please stop lying about our company to the general public!

Its genuine

There is nothing genuine about this company.  Cold calling offering to stop cold calls is a joke.  Luckily the person you are replying to is unlikely to see your post and be deceived.  TPS warn about your company, there seems to be no website for the company.  Your agents tell lies on the 'phone as there is no way they could know whether cold calls are going to a certain number. The price your company is quoting for this "system" is almost double the cost of a call blocking 'phone  (which really does stop cold calls) and that is if you only take the amount of money you should.

I am only going to put one more reply on this because I am fed up with reading the slander! S.t.s offers a genuine data removal service and the call blockers and mobile phone security is free.in fact I spoke to one man today who doesn't even get international calls anymore and he has only had the service for two months and is quite happy! As for price I Always make it quite clear who much it cost £84.99 for three years and 6 months or slightly more by direct debit and there IS a fourteen day calling of period and if any of my customers cancel I lose a chunk of my wages and I do Not Con people! That is all I have to say unless I ring you so Adious Amigoes!

Not true.any number sold on a data list can and invariable will get a cold call and there are plenty of companies selling them and the more data lists you are on the more calls you will get.Q.E.D

Actually we do.I was a sales manager and I have handled literaly Hundreds of credit and debit numbers and not a Single penny has Ever gone missing or ever will ! ! !

PS jeeves the T.P.s is run by the direct marketing association and is a joke so before you claim to be an expert I suggest you get your facts right!

We also have some people who do customer support and for £28 a year that in my opinion is bloody cheap.End of.Enough now.God bless

The TPS register is probably used cynically and, indeed, ironically by your company as a sales lead generator. I'm going with Jeeves on this one.

Has it ever occurred to you canard that since any company can apply for and pay for the Millions of people on the tps register it could easily be misused and abused by anybody anywhere or are you as blind and hateful and bigoted as you first appear? Who are you slandering my company or me personally?

I can't be bothered with this anymore.We offer a good service that works and I will enjoy my job tommorow regardless of what anybody thinks of me and my company and quite frankly I can't be [***] to reply to anymore stupid posts so Goodbye
