They have rung 8 times in 3 days while I was away, no messages left.  I've used various insurance comparison sites for car, house and business insurances all of which fell due early to mid August.  I have therefore got them all sorted, but wonder whether these people are making a last try while some of it is still within the cooling-off period.  No chance.

Or perhaps they think I might try ringing this number back if I'm concerned that it may be something urgent, then they can leave me on hold at my own expense?

Called 10.52 hours on 3rd Sept 2008. Did not say anything. Hung up

The phone but when answered it nobody there.

Often, when I return from work, I find that this number has tried to call me once or twice - no message ever left. Today, I'm working from home and, indeed, it rang at about 2.30pm. I saw it and didn't answer. What annoys me is that one would think that not being answered time and time again would send a clear message that the calls are not wanted. It's very annoying, which is why I'm glad I have number display - wouldn't be without it for the world!

Rang but left no message.  We are registered with TPS

They keep calling my elderly neighbour and really stressing the poor woman out.

They ring daily, when answered, no reply. This could cause alot of stress. Also with TPS

Just got a call asking for Mrs Marit. I said that there was no-one of that name on this number, to which the girl enquired 'have I got the wrong number then??'

I just replied that she had if she wanted to speak to Mrs Marit and hung up!
Fed up of these calls, especially at work.

when they called me, i just put it on loud speaker, answered it an let them kept on saying hello for 2 min, see how they fkin like it, silence at the other end.

stopped before i could answer- no message- we are listed with the telephone preference service and are ex directory so they should not be calling

Persistent nuisance calls - I don't pick up - they leave no message

have rang me three times today when answered  just silence no message left on answerphone when didnt answer cos fed up with these kind calls

It has started today. Had two calls from this number, asking for a person by name and when asked who is calling, was told it is for his Health Insurance.

He is very polite and speaks very nicely and is persistant and even when told that person is inusred for his health somewhere else, said would keep on trying!!!

But sorry, not interested in accepting uninvited marketing, advisory or survey calls.

Give excuses and hang up.

I tried to reach the phone to answer the call but the caller rang off but not before I tripped and hurt my leg. These calls should be banned from elderly people they can be dangerous.

phone rang daughter answered it asked for me then put phone down when i rang back i got sorry we missed you then answers as Insurance for Retirement.please call back on some number but put phone down as i didnt wont to waste my phone bill. surley if you wont insurances then you would be ringing them and not the other way round really does my head in .

This number has just called me - 2.20pm on Weds 10th December - but I didn't pick the phone up. I dialled 1471 after to find out who it was. We belong to the TPS so they shouldn't be ringing anyway. Are they an insurance company? Sounds like it from previous comments.

As soon as I picked it up and said Hello they rang off. Very annoying as this looks like people checking to see if anyone at home.I also belong to TSP so these calls should not get through.
Someone should have the authority to stop them as there are so many calls looking at this website.

0845 0451530 called tonight. no one spoke. i received an insurance quote from them last week......they can kiss my dusty swingers if they think i'll be using them now.

House and/or Car insurance for those of a certain age - or above ;)

I missed a similar call today - no message. I have just renewed my House Insurance though. I chose my insurer through Tesco Compare so I guess it's one of the companies that they get quotes from.
